The Elf Queen’s face bore a grave expression. Xing Er’s bloodline of the Elf King would soon be exhausted. Even though Xing Er’s energy was weak, the Elf Queen calculated that it would be enough to sustain them until they returned to the Elf Forest, so she didn’t rush Ah Dai. However, to her shock, they hadn’t returned even after more than a month. These past few days, the Elf Queen had been anxious, even sending several groups of Elves out of the forest to greet them.
Ah Dai saw the Elf Queen didn’t say anything and reproached himself. If he hadn’t been so impulsive earlier, and didn’t use the thunderstorm spell before identifying the true identity and intention of the Judgment Chief, he might not have been severely injured, and Xing Er wouldn’t have been in such a perilous situation.
The four great Elf Envoys hovered around the Elf Queen, incanting spells in elvish. Rings of green light came from them, flowing towards Xing Er’s body. Upon a soft rebuke from the Elf Queen, a pale green energy flew towards the Elf ancient tree which trembled slightly, sending some thick vines towards Xing Er. Apart from her head, her body was completely wrapped up and under the control of the Elf Queen, slowly sank into the water, only exposing her mouth and nose for breathing.
The Elf Queen sighed deeply, appearing weakened. She had to lean on Audi for support, as since she had used the full potential of her power for growth melody, her energy hadn’t recovered. Earlier, due to her anxiety, she used all her strength to save her daughter, which further exhausted her energy.
Ah Dai hurriedly asked, "Auntie, how is Xing Er now?"
The Elf Queen revealed a relieved smile, "Don’t worry, Xing Er is fine now. All she needs is to take a good rest for a while, and her body will recover. That was so close! Her Elf King bloodline was almost completely depleted. Many thanks to you for timely throwing her into the lake. The spiritual energy of the Lake of Elves managed to hold on to the last bit of her bloodline’s energy and allowed me to replenish her meridians. Ah Dai, thank you."
Ah Dai let out a sigh of relief and his hand, following his emotions, relaxed, and his body slid down into Elf Lake. With a splash, he landed in the cool lake. The lake was not deep, only reaching Ah Dai’s shoulders. The cool lake water made him shiver, his awkward appearance brought a smile on the Elf Queen’s face.
Audi let go of the Elf Queen, spoke a spell, and a thick vine rose from the bottom of the lake, lifting Ah Dai up, "Little brother, how could you be so careless!"
Ah Dai wryly smiled: "This may be the consequence of me throwing Xing Er into the lake."
The Elf Queen smiled gently and sincerely said, "Ah Dai, thank you very much. You brought Xing Er back, which is like saving our entire Elf Clan. I express my gratitude to you on behalf of my clan." Saying so, she deeply bowed to Ah Dai.
The Elf Queen’s actions made Ah Dai feel disconcerted and he hurriedly said, "Auntie, you shouldn’t do that, aren’t we friends? Why the need for thanks?"
The Elf Queen sighed, "Child, as a human, your help to our Elf Clan is immense, and it can’t be repaid simply with this gesture. Saying so, leaving Audi and another great Elf Envoy to protect Xing Er, she recited a spell and took Ah Dai into the treehouse of the Elf ancient tree.
Soon, the Yan Shi brothers and Zhuo Yun were escorted back by the elves. Upon returning to their home, Zhuo Yun could not contain his excitement. Under the Elf Queen’s leadership, the Elf Clan held a grand welcome feast for Ah Dai and the Yan Shi brothers. With the energy contained in the Elf Pearl, they would be able to enter and exit the protection barrier of the Elf Clan freely in the future.
