Chapter 305: Chapter 66 Golden Swallowing_5

The Bone Dragon continued to run, unfeeling of any fatigue due to the absorption of numerous souls and life energy. It was only when they had reached a forest a few dozen miles away that Ah Dai commanded it to stop. After dismissing the Bone Dragon based on the Dragon’s Blood, Ah Dai carefully laid down the unconscious Ice on the ground. His own meridians were suffering from extreme pain and his strength was reduced to less than twenty percent.

With a sigh, Yan Shi reflected, "Only now do I realize how insignificant human power truly is. Without your two dragons, we may have already perished within the Dark City."

Tears flowed down Ah Dai’s cheeks as he whispered, "If only Yue Yue were here, Ice, please do not die!" His current strength was insufficient to save Ice, whose body was gradually becoming cold, her life energy slowly fading away.

The Elf Girl walked over to Ah Dai, took a glance at him and softly said, "Let me try, alright?"

Ah Dai was taken aback, "Can you save her? Please, I beg you, try to save her."

The Elf Girl nodded and said, "You don’t need to beg me. You’re a friend of Her Majesty, and you saved me from those evildoers - you’re my benefactor! Even if we weren’t linked in any way, I wouldn’t stand by whilst someone died. However, I fear my abilities might not be sufficient, I can only give it a try. You should rest for a while your physical strength is being depleted too rapidly for you to sustain. Rest easy, at least until you awaken, I won’t let her condition deteriorate any further. Pursuers are almost here, only by strengthening ourselves will we be able to cope." Truth be told, the Dark City was now in complete chaos and upheaval; the death of numerous civilians and soldiers had sent the entire city into disarray with no one having the time to pursue Ah Dai and his companions. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

Hearing the Elf Girl’s gentle persuasion, Ah Dai slowly relaxed, nodded and sat on the ground to recuperate. Yan Shi and his brother positioned themselves on either side of Ah Dai, each holding their weapons and staring intently at the direction of Dark City, their faces displaying a steely resolve.

The Elf Girl advised, "You two should rest for a while too, you’ve both been injured."

Yan Shi shook his head and said, "No, we need to ensure Ah Dai’s safety. You should focus on healing this young lady. Once Ah Dai wakes up, then we can recuperate." Yan Shi’s regret was indescribable. Among the three, he had always prided himself on being the most discerning. Yet, at the crucial moment, he had been deceived by Horton, nearly leading the trio to an irreversible catastrophe. If not for Ah Dai summoning the two dragons, Ice timely giving the antidote to the cold condensation frost, escape would not have been possible.

The Elf Girl nodded, knelt beside Ice and carefully unwrapped her bindings, revealing the horrifying injury that exposed the bone. She murmured an incantation and a faint green light appeared on her fingertip. She reached out, carefully touched Ice’s wound; the green light flashed and sunk into the wound. The Elf girl, with her eyes closed, continued to murmur incantations. Using the magic of nature to scan Ice’s body, she was shocked to find that Ice’s shoulder and collar bones had completely shattered – there was no possible way to repair them. With a sigh she began to chant softly, "Oh Great God of Nature, please lend me the spiritual energy of the universe to nourish this living being." The green light enveloped the Elf Girl’s body as she slowly placed her hand on Ice, the glowing lights flashed and slowly entered Ice’s body, nourishing her.
