Chapter 220: Chapter 49 - Great Progress in Skills_1

Over the last seven days, through Ah Dai’s diligent practice, he had been able to manifest a palm-sized white energy dagger, or a simple weapon like a spike, using the power of the Life Transformation technique. Although small in size, the energy dagger was considerably powerful, cutting through objects like a hot knife through butter.

Looking down at the small dagger in his hand, Ah Dai couldn’t help but chuckle. Back when he lived in Nino Small Town, Empire of Tian Jing, he used similar small knives to steal. Now, he had managed to conjure an energy dagger... was he about to return to his old habits?

The Sword Saint of the Tian Gang was pleased with Ah Dai’s progress. He felt that Ah Dai was not as slow as he seemed on the surface, and possessed a high sense of comprehension. Understanding the essence of the Life Transformation technique in such a short time was no easy feat. The Sword Saint did not give Ah Dai too much guidance, merely advising him to gain more control over the energy he could summon. Ah Dai’s fingers and wrists were extremely flexible due to his past training, which helped him in controlling this energy dagger with ease.

Sheng Xie opened his eyes. His divine golden eyes could clearly see every corner of the dimly lit cave. Stretching out in a big yawn, he stood up and shook himself off. After seven days of deep slumber, he had completely absorbed the energy of the five top-grade magic crystals. His body had gone through a noticeable transformation: his body length had increased from one meter to one and a half meter, his dragon wings became much broader, and most surprisingly, a layer of tiny grey scales had formed on his body. While they didn’t cover his entire body yet, they already displayed a metallic sheen and were extremely hard to the touch. The seven protrusions on his back were even more evident, with what seemed like a hint of golden shimmer at their tips.

Sheng Xie staggered out of the cave, swaying with each step. Ah Dai, seated on the rocks, mentally stirred and roused himself from meditation. When Sheng Xie raised his head to look at him, he hummed in reply a few times.

"Ah! Xiao Xie, you’re awake." Ah Dai excitedly jumped down from the rocks and hugged Sheng Xie’s neck, patting his massive head.

Sheng Xie rubbed against Ah Dai affectionately, sticking out his tongue to lick his face.

The Sword Saint of the Tian Gang also roused from his mediation. His eyes shone brightly as he nodded approvingly, "Sheng Xie has certainly grown quickly! Only seven days have passed and there’s been such a significant change."

With a few content hums, Sheng Xie stood up using his hind legs and propped himself up, giving the Sword Saint a clear look with his lucid golden eyes, and then tapped his belly with his front paw.

Ah Dai smiled, "Are you hungry? Come on, I’ll go get you some food." He had already prepared food for Sheng Xie a few days back, and it was still fresh due to the low temperature at the mountain top.

To Ah Dai’s astonishment, Sheng Xie consumed enough food for ten people before he was satisfied, patting his bulging belly as he hopped and skipped around the cave.

"Ah Dai, why don’t you take him out to the mouth of the cave and play? You should also start practicing the Life Transformation technique today."

"Yes, Master." Ah Dai responded, and after bowing to the Sword Saint of the Tian Gang, led Sheng Xie out of the cave. Sheng Xie was very affectionate towards Ah Dai and always stayed close, constantly flapping his dragon wings trying to fly, but ended up falling to the ground each time, covered in dust. However, it always managed to get up and try again due to its resilient nature.

Once outside the cave, Ah Dai summoned the Life Qi, its white light serving as a protective barrier against the mists around him. He took a deep breath and stretched out his right hand, guiding the Qi in his body towards his palm, where a small white light first flickered. To Sheng Xie’s amazement, the white light gradually grew and solidified into a white substance about the size of an egg. Under Ah Dai’s command, the substance began to morph and eventually turned into a small dagger, five inches long and half an inch wide. It looked identical to the one Ah Dai had previously used for thieving, its white halo continually rotating. Ah Dai’s right hand moved fluidly as he made the dagger constructed from the solidified Truth Qi dance up and down his palm.

Sheng Xie watched Ah Dai’s palm with his large golden eyes, repeatedly mimicking Ah Dai’s movements with his front paws as if trying to imitate him.

Ah Dai focused intently on controlling the small energy dagger. Over the past few days, he had gotten more familiar with the Life Transformation technique. Despite his energy not being very strong, under his control, the energy dagger could easily puncture any object. Within a five-meter radius, Ah Dai could perfectly control the release and retrieval of solid-state energy with his spiritual power and Life Qi.

"Xiao Xie, stay still over there, or you might get hurt." After giving Sheng Xie a warning, Ah Dai gently floated down ten meters away. His eyes flashed coldly, and he commanded, "Go". The white energy dagger soared up, swirling around his body under his control. Every movement by Ah Dai would change the dagger’s path, and, after a while, the energy dagger transformed into a white light trail, forming a faint light net around him.

Left alone, Sheng Xie was bored. Not wanting to go against Ah Dai’s words, it sat on the ground, picked up a palm-sized stone with its front paw, and began to play with it. After a while, a wickedly teasing smile appeared on Sheng Xie’s face. With a slight movement, the rock was suddenly hurled towards Ah Dai.
