Chapter 1609: Chapter 188: Sumeru Sword
Harry said, "Old fool (Goshawk), have you given any thought to what I told you on the way here? You can’t blame Ah Dai for your disciple’s death. Don’t be too stubborn and put Di Si and us in a difficult position."
Goshawk snorted and said, "There’s nothing to think about. Even if that damn Tiro deserved to die, it’s not necessary to torture him, right? I don’t care, I have to seek justice from Di Si, at least tidy that kid up a bit."
Harry laughed heartily and said, "Tidy him up? I think it’s lucky if he doesn’t tidy you up instead. Di Si is really something, managing to train such a strong grandson-disciple. Compared to us three old guys, he’s much stronger. Now, there are already five Sword Saints on the continent. Old fool, be careful not to stumble in a ditch."
Goshawk said angrily, "I admit I can’t beat Di Si, but his disciple can’t possibly be my match. Harry, don’t gloat, just wait until the duel starts and watch how I handle you."
Harry shrugged helplessly and said, "Doesn’t matter, suit yourself. Over the years, I’ve become used to losing anyway. Beating me is no big deal. If you can beat Di Si, then I’ll be impressed with you. I’ll agree to any condition."
Goshawk found himself speechless when Harry said that. Although he was arrogant, he knew he couldn’t possibly be a match for the Sword Saint of the Tian Gang.
Yun Ying smiled and said, "You guys! After all these years, you still haven’t changed, always bickering the moment you meet. Actually, we’re all over a hundred years old now, what is there to argue about? Perhaps, this will be the last time the four of us gather together. This time, we must disturb Di Si for a few more days, as we won’t have another chance later."
All nine of them were people of profound cultivation, especially the three Sword Saints. While they were talking, they neared the summit of the main peak of the Tian Gang Mountain Range. The mountain gate of the Tian Gang Sword Sect was in sight, with a hundred disciples standing on each side outside the gate. At the entrance, seven elders carrying Heavy Swords awaited, led by the second-generation disciple Xi Wen. Beside them were Ah Dai, dressed in white, and Xuan Yue, in a Red Bishop’s Robes. As they saw the three Sword Saints appear, the seven simultaneously rose to greet them.
Yun Ying and the others stopped. Xi Wen stepped forward quickly and respectfully said, "Xi Wen, sect leader of the Tian Gang Sword Sect, along with the disciples, welcomes the visit of the three seniors."
Yun Ying sighed lightly and said, "It’s been twenty years, Xi Wen, you have aged too. Just like us, covered in white hair."
Xi Wen smiled and said, "Senior Yun Ying, you are still as spirited as ever! I am over ninety now, naturally my hair is all white. Seniors, please come in."
Yun Ying nodded and, guided by Xi Wen, headed toward the Tian Gang Sword Sect gate.
Goshawk gave Ah Dai a resentful look, but Ah Dai seemed not to notice, maintaining his calm expression. Goshawk felt a sudden shock, realizing that he could no longer see through the cultivation of this young man, whose skills appeared to have grown significantly since their last meeting on the Aryan Tribe’s great prairie. He snorted coldly and said, "Di Si is quite the host, isn’t he? We come to visit, and he doesn’t even show up."
Xi Wen sighed lightly and said, "Senior Goshawk, my master has his reasons, you’ll understand once you go inside." Yun Ying smiled and said, "It’s alright, Brother Di Si is old enough that he doesn’t need to come to greet us. Xi Wen, your cultivation seems to be approaching the Sword Saint Realm, it looks like the Life-and-Death Manual has reached the ninth level, hasn’t it?"
Xi Wen’s body trembled, impressed, and he respectfully said, "Thanks to the seniors, I have just recently broken through the ninth realm."
Yun Ying said, "Brother Di Si indeed has worthy successors! I heard from Harry that there is also a young disciple who has broken through the ninth realm, is that true?"
Xi Wen nodded and signaled to Ah Dai, who quickly stepped forward, bowed, and greeted, "Ah Dai, third-generation disciple of the Tian Gang Sword Sect, greets the three seniors."
Harry smiled and said, "Little Ah Dai! Your power seems to have grown quite a bit again, it truly seems like the new generation will surpass the old. I’m getting more and more envious of Di Si now."
Yun Ying’s eyes flashed with precision, and to his surprise, he found that although the young man in front of him was respectfully saluting them, his presence was as unshakable as a mountain, with not a single flaw. He nodded and said, "Indeed, when Harry told me that a young disciple of the Tian Gang Sword Sect had reached the Sword Saint realm, I didn’t believe it. But now, it seems he was right." With his level of cultivation, he could almost determine the extent of others’ power at a glance.
Ah Dai, having never met Yun Ying before, couldn’t help but raise his head to look at him. Since Xi Wen had previously told him about Yun Ying’s close relationship with the Sword Saint of the Tian Gang, a natural affection rose in his heart. He smiled and said, "Thank you for the compliment, senior."
Led by Xi Wen and the seven second-generation disciples, the group entered the conference hall of the Tian Gang Sword Sect. Since there were many seniors present, Ah Dai and Xuan Yue found it inappropriate to reminisce with the Four Skeletons. The Four Skeletons were dressed in simple combat attire today. The Ice Skeleton occasionally glanced at Ah Dai with some resentment, but Ah Dai kept his head down, as if ignorant of everything. The Blood Skull, Iron Skull, and Wind Skeleton all focused their attention on the stunningly beautiful Xuan Yue. Although they guessed that the red-clad girl before them was the Xuan Re who had once been with Ah Dai, they did not expect her to be so extraordinarily beautiful. The Blood Skull handled it a bit better, but the Iron Skull and Wind Skeleton were somewhat dumbfounded.
