Odin agreed and flew off. Only Xuan Ye and the Elf Queen remained in the treehouse.

Xuan Ye laughed, "That won’t happen again. Are you still angry with me, your Majesty?"
The Elf Queen shook her head, "How could I? In our Elf Clan, we never bear grudges against friends. Cardinal, Ah Dai truly is a good boy. I hope that you won’t harm him. It seems to me that your beloved daughter also holds fondness for Ah Dai. Even though Ah Dai appears goofy, his goodness, simplicity, and sense of justice more than make up for his shortcomings."
Even though the Elf Queen was expressing it subtly, Xuan Ye still understood her intentions well. He outright refused, "That’s not possible. They can’t be together.
