Chapter 1494: Chapter 163 Crazy Grim Reaper_2

Ah Dai floated to the front of Tiro and Rong Rong, a flash of silver light instantly sealing both their meridians. Under the effects of his vital force, the bleeding wound on Tiro’s left shoulder abruptly stopped. Confronted by the overwhelming killing intent, Tiro faltered, his voice trembling as he stammered, "D-don’t kill me, don’t kill me. I won’t seek revenge against you."

Ah Dai radiated an aura as frigid as the dead of winter, his voice icy as he spoke word by word, "But—I—shall—seek—revenge—on—you."

Tiro endured wave after wave of unbearable pain, his facial muscles spasming ceaselessly. He murmured, "But—but I never wronged you!"

A cold smile tugged at the corner of Ah Dai’s mouth. He nodded and replied, "True, you never wronged me. But you wronged someone else. Do you remember the girl?" 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

"The girl?" A shiver ran through Tiro’s heart. Of course, he knew that Freya had been called "the girl" before coming to the Governor’s Mansion. He muttered, "You—you mean Freya? Who—who exactly are you?"

Ah Dai gave a chilling laugh. "Who am I? I am the girl’s fiancé, Ah Dai. You’ve surely heard of my name. I have another nickname: the Grim Reaper. I didn’t blame you for pursuing the girl. I didn’t blame you for being with her. But what you did to her—what a beast like you did—you know better than anyone else."

Tiro listened to Ah Dai’s words, stunned. He could never have guessed that the quiet, martial arts-savvy young man standing before him was the very person the girl had spoken of with longing. Staring into Ah Dai’s eyes, full of murderous intent, he understood that this youth had come solely for his life. Facing imminent death, terror consumed Tiro, his voice trembling as he pleaded, "I—I know I was wrong. It’s my fault; I wronged Freya. I know I was wrong now. Don’t kill me. I swear—I swear I’ll treat her well from now on. She already has my child. Surely, you wouldn’t let Freya’s child grow up without a father! Spare me, I—ah—" A scream escaped his lips as his right arm fell to the ground under the silver light’s sweep.

Bringing up the child was Tiro’s fatal mistake. As soon as he mentioned it, Ah Dai almost couldn’t restrain himself from killing him outright. His clenched fists cracked audibly, his voice frigid as he growled, "The child—you dare bring up the child? The day you beat the girl, her child was already lost. You want to treat the girl well? Then you should go to Hell and join her there. The girl is already dead; the hatred between us can never be resolved. Tiro, you beast, today I will repay the pain you inflicted on the girl, a hundredfold, a thousandfold." Seizing Tiro by his collar, Ah Dai hurled him heavily to the ground. Tiro’s face turned pale, his body spasming uncontrollably. He knew there was no way Ah Dai would let him go alive today. With a desperate scream, he shouted, "Even if you kill me, you won’t live! My grandfather is the Governor of Mica Province. You won’t escape the province—he’ll definitely have you killed."

Ah Dai crouched beside Tiro, a smile creeping across his lips. "Oh? Do you think I’ll fear your mighty Governor grandfather? Let me tell you plainly—when I’m done with you, he’ll be my next target. If it weren’t for his enabling behavior, the girl wouldn’t have been harmed by a monster like you. Resign yourself to your fate." Ah Dai casually picked up a piece of wood and began to drive it, inch by inch, into the flesh of Tiro’s thigh. The crude wood turned the muscle into a mass of mangled pulp. Tiro’s screams rang out one after another, their eeriness heightened in the dead of night.

Dense footsteps echoed through the Governor’s Mansion. As soon as Yida, the first brave warrior under Governor Teirhaus of Mica Province, received the Governor’s Command Arrow, he rushed over with his men. For Yida, nothing mattered more than Teirhaus’ safety.

Seeing the chaotic scene within the Governor’s Mansion, Yida grabbed one of the mansion guards and asked urgently, "Where is the assassin? Did the assassin escape? Is the Governor safe?" Yida had been personally promoted by Teirhaus and was unfailingly loyal to him—far more than anyone else. That loyalty was why Teirhaus had appointed him to command thirty thousand troops stationed outside Mica City.

The guard seemed dazed, pointing toward a nearby room and murmuring repeatedly, "Screaming... so terrifying... so terrifying..."

Yida frowned, noticing the guard in his grasp had already turned into a shell-shocked fool, likely due to extreme fright. Following the guard’s pointed direction, Yida waved his hand and commanded sternly, "Follow me!" Quickly leading his trusted aides toward the indicated room, Yida hadn’t even reached the door when he caught the pungent scent of fresh blood. Alarmed, he drew his longsword for protection and rushed forward. The trusted aides immediately divided into two groups: one surrounding the room and the other entering alongside Yida. As Yida reached the doorway and saw the scene inside, even he, seasoned from countless battles, couldn’t help but shiver and display a look of fear in his eyes. What he saw was a young man entirely covered in scale armor, crouched on the ground, stabbing something repeatedly. That "something" lying on the ground could no longer be called a person, for it had lost all its limbs, and its body was a grotesque mess of blood and flesh—ears and nose included, nothing but a mangled heap. Seeing this horrifying sight, Yida struggled to suppress the panic swelling within him and roared, "Cease at once! You audacious villain, how dare you commit such atrocity!"
