Chapter 147: 34 Giant Dragon Egg_3

Xuan Yue couldn’t take her hands off the Inquiry Ring she was fiddling with, the more she looked at it, the more she liked it, "Auntie, is this really for me? Such a beautiful bracelet!"

The Elf Queen spoke solemnly, "Child, you must keep this bracelet safe and never lose it. Otherwise, should any people with malicious intent get a hold of it, they would have a much easier time capturing our kin. Do you understand?"

Xuan Yue nodded, and put the shiny Inquiry Ring on her left hand, laughing, she said, "Auntie, don’t worry, I’ll definitely keep it safe."

The Elf Queen walked over to Ah Dai and Xuan Yue. She was about the same height as Xuan Yue and had to flutter her wings to float at the same level as Ah Dai. Just like when the Red Robe Priest had done before, her voice echoed within Ah Dai, "You have such a good heart, so kind. Of all the humans I’ve met, none can compare to you."

Ah Dai scratched his head, saying, "Auntie, I’m actually quite slow, I take much longer to learn things than others."

The Elf Queen smiled faintly and said, "While wisdom is important, kindness is even more valuable. I wish to give you something. This item has been in my possession for hundreds of years. Perhaps, in your hands, it will be put to the best use."

Ah Dai blinked, asking, "What is it?"

The Elf Queen smiled mysteriously, "You’ll understand once you see it." After finishing her sentence, she stopped conveying her thoughts and, instead spoke to the Elf Envoys, "You know what to do based on our discussion, correct?"

Od and the others nodded, responding respectfully. The Elf Queen said, "Ah Dai, come with me." She then flew outside, Ah Dai quickly followed. He was curious, what was the Elf Queen going to give him? If it was too valuable, he couldn’t accept it.

Seeing Ah Dai leaving with the Elf Queen, Xuan Yue hurried out, wanting to catch up with them, but was stopped by Od. "Miss, don’t go, we need to do something to ensure your safety on the mainland while you search for our kin."

Xuan Yue was stunned, although a bit unhappy, she stopped. Tian Ying quietly disappeared. The four Elf Envoys exchanged a look and began chanting different Elf spells.

Ah Dai and the Elf Queen stepped out of the treehouse to see Moon Scar and the rest standing dejectedly by the side of Elf Lake. Before he had the chance to say hello, he found his body enveloped in a green light and he started to float. Seeing this, Moon Scar and the others looked over in surprise. The Elf Queen flapped her wings leading Ah Dai towards the ancient tree in the middle of Elf Lake. As he looked down at the clear lake water under his feet and the faint mist surrounding the green light, Ah Dai felt as if he were in a fairyland. On arrival at the ancient tree, Ah Dai couldn’t help but exclaim, "What a huge tree!"

The Elf Queen turned around laughing, gesturing towards the ancient tree. The tree crown parted, and she flew inside with Ah Dai. Ah Dai felt like he was in a dream, marveling at the odd surroundings. "Ah Dai, we’re here." The Elf Queen’s call woke Ah Dai from his trance.

"Wow! What a big tree house! Auntie, do you live here?"

The Elf Queen nodded, smiling, "Yes! This is my home. You’re the first outsider to come here." At this point, they had already landed on the platform outside the treehouse. The Elf Queen, pushing the door open, led Ah Dai inside. The treehouse was simply decorated with two rooms. The Elf Queen took Ah Dai’s hand and led him into the inner room. The inside room was slightly smaller with just a wooden bed. Robotically, the Elf Queen traced a green Magic Hexagram with her hands in the air. Her hands fell and the hexagram suddenly expanded, imprinted onto the floor. The Elf Queen told Ah Dai, "Now, stand in the center of the hexagram." Ah Dai did as he was told and the Elf Queen rose into the air in front of him, smiling, "We’re going down." The green light flashed, and suddenly Ah Dai couldn’t see the surroundings. His entire body felt warm and comfortable, as if he was basking in hot sunlight. His True Qi circulated inside him, absorbing the warm energy. The exhaustion he had been feeling was rapidly disappearing and his True Qi returned to a thriving state. After what felt like a long time, the light disappeared and everything changed, the treehouse had vanished. Through the Elf Queen’s magic, they arrived in an enclosed space, about fifteen square meters, with wooden walls. The room contained many strange items. Suddenly appearing in a different place, Ah Dai startled, he asked, "Auntie, where are we?"

The Elf Queen replied, "We’re inside the ancient Elf tree! Look, what is that?"

Following the direction that the Elf Queen indicated, he saw an egg, a gigantic egg soaking in a wooden basin filled three-quarters with clear water. The basin was on a not-too-high wooden shelf in the corner of the room, with one-third of the egg visible on the water surface. This oval egg was about half a meter in diameter and had a strange pattern on it, making it quite eye-catching in the room. Ah Dai stared at it and said, "Auntie, you’re not going to give me this egg, are you?"
