Chapter 138: Chapter 32 The first appearance of Evil Light_4
Xuan Yue, with no martial arts skills, was the last to arrive. She pushed her way to the front, anxiously asking, "Big Brother Yan Shi, how is Ah Dai, how is he?"
Yan Shi exhaled, saying, "Don’t worry, Ah Dai is fine. He just passed out from exhaustion. Some rest and he will be all right."
Ya Yuan looked at Ruo Ma with a profound gaze, saying, "Friends, thank you for saving us. On behalf of all the elves here, I apologize for our actions earlier. We were too impulsive." With that, he bowed to the crowd.
Moon Scar supported him and said, "It’s fine, we didn’t lose anything. Those thieves were truly vile. Helping you was the right thing to do. What should we do with these corpses?"
Ya Yuan replied, "Let’s leave the bodies here. Our people will deal with them. Let’s hurry back to the Elf City. I need to report the incident to Her Majesty, the Elf Queen."
Xuan Yue looked around and said, "It seems like there are more bodies. Did Ah Dai do all this?"
Ruo Ma nodded and said, "I don’t know how they died. After the black-clothed leaders fled, they fell down."
Miao Fei puzzledly stated, "How did Ah Dai suddenly become so much stronger that he drove the gang away by himself? Has he been deliberately hiding his abilities?"
Yan Shi, somewhat impatiently, said, "Let’s not worry about that now. Elf brothers, please lead the way. Ah Dai needs a quiet place to rest."
Just then, a large group of elves flew over, numbering hundreds. The three leading elves radiated a strong presence. Ya Yuan rejoiced, declaring, "Our people have arrived." He flapped his wings and flew up to meet them, conversely speaking with the newcomer elves in the elf language.
The elves landed, and the leading three approached the crowd. The male elf in the middle said, "Thank you for saving our brethren. I am Tian Ying, the Elf Envoy of the Elf Clan." He appeared to be in his thirties, had a resolute face and a short bow on his back, with a solemn expression on his face.
Yan Shi, perking up, cradling Ah Dai, stepped forward and said, "Uncle Tian Ying, do you, do you still recognize me?"
Tian Ying looked surprised at Yan Shi, studied him up and down and said with some doubt, "You are from the Pu Yan Clan, right? Have we met before?"
Yan Shi, somewhat excited, said, "Uncle Tian Ying, thirteen years ago, my father Yan Fei brought me here to meet you! I’m Yan Shi!"
Tian Ying gasped, saying, "You are Yan Shi. Oh my, you’ve changed so much since I last saw you!"
Yan Li approached and pointed at his own nose and said, "Uncle Tian Ying, it’s me, Yan Li!"
Tian Ying laughed heartily, saying, "Ah, it’s you, you mischief-maker. I remember you tried to chop down trees in my yard with an axe! I can still remember your aggrieved face when Brother Yan Fei spanked you!"
Yan Li, embarrassed, said, "Uncle, let’s not talk about those embarrassing things now."
Yan Shi said, "Uncle Tian Ying, our friend needs rest. Could you please take us somewhere to rest and recuperate?"
Tian Ying patted his chest, saying, "No problem. Ya Yuan already informed me about the situation. Let’s go. These thieves have become too bold. They have been attacking our kin who stray too far from our territory more than once. It seems they needs to be taught that the Elf Clan is not to be messed with." As he spoke, a cold light flashed in his eyes.
Yan Shi nodded, saying, "Uncle Tian Ying, let’s get moving. Once we reach your village, I’ll tell you why we have come."
Tian Ying nodded and, along with the others, escorted the group into the depths of the Elf Forest.
Outside the Elf Forest.
Six black-clothed men stopped running and stood still. Although they had been running at full speed for a while, none of them showed any signs of fatigue.
The black-clothed man at the front exhaled, saying, "We should be safe now. I didn’t expect to encounter a disciple of Hades here."
The skinny black-clothed man who had fought with Ah Dai earlier looked at the dried-up corpse in the hands of the leading black-clothed man and burst into tears, crying, "Uncle Four, your death was so tragic!" His voice no longer cracked and low, but clear – a standard tongue of the Holy Church.
The faces of the other black-clothed men showed grief. The leading black-clothed man sighed, saying, "Seven Girl, stop crying. We can only blame our bad luck for running into a disciple of Hades."
The emaciated black-clothed girl pulled down her face veil, revealing a stunning face. She was a beautiful girl, around seventeen or eighteen, and tears welled up in her large eyes. "Uncle Four died because of me. I should have been the one facing the Sword of Hades!"
The leader of the black-clothed men sighed, saying, "Child, stop crying. Protecting you is our duty. Uncle Four gave his life for you; he died a worthy death."
Seven Girl suddenly raised her head, her eyes flashing coldly, "Uncle, what are you talking about? No one should have to die. Do you think I, Mie Feng, am scared of death? If so, why would I have trained so hard for over a decade? Do you think I achieved the strength of an Acquirer under the protection of you all? That boy might not be able to use the Sword of Hades again. Why did we run? If we kept attacking, we could have succeeded!"
