Chapter 130: Chapter 31: The Elf Disaster_1

Xuan Yue was taken aback, saying, "What’s the matter? I was just asking about what a slave is. Are you that disturbed by it?"

With an embarrassed expression, Moon Scar replied: "Miss Xuan Yue, let’s not discuss that now, we’re about to enter the forest. Check if you’ve left anything in the carriage, and bring it along quickly."

Xuan Yue shook her head: "I didn’t forget anything! If you won’t tell me, I’ll ask Ah Dai. Ah Dai, tell me, what is a *slave?"

Ah Dai shook his head in bewilderment: "I-I don’t know! However, if it refers to slaves, their fate must be very miserable. The captured elves are so pitiful."

"So there are compassionate individuals among humans. This is my first time seeing such a thing." A somewhat cold voice resonated from the forest. Following the gazes of the crowd, around a dozen green figures fluttered out from the forest. Upon a closer look, there were both men and women, slightly smaller than humans. They wore plants as clothing, had transparent wings on their backs, and most held green short bows in their hands. Their large beautiful eyes were glaring daggers at Ah Dai and the others. The greatest difference between them and humans, apart from the wings, were their sharp, upright ears. A chilling murderous aura emanated from these individuals, giving the group the impression that the elves’ arrows were filled with a penetrating power that could kill them at any moment.

Yan Shi exclaimed: "They’re our friends from the Elf Clan, nobody make a move." After speaking, he took a few steps forward and greeted a male elf in the lead: "Greetings, Mr. Elf. I am Yan Shi from Tian Yuan Clan, and I’ve come specifically to meet with Her Majesty, the Elf Queen. If I may ask, what has happened to the Elf Clan to put you on such high alert?"

The lead elf seemed startled and asked: "You are Yan Shi from the Tian Yuan Clan? What is your relationship with Yan Fei?"

Yan Shi replied: "Yan Fei is my father. Do you know my father?"

The male elf did not relax his guard, asking warily: "Do you have any proof that you are the son of Yan Fei?"

Yan Shi smiled faintly and took out a stone-like object from his chest, tossing it over. Ah Dai vaguely saw some characters on the stone that were full of not insignificant energy.

The elf took the stone, and Yan Shi explained: "This is the amulet that our highly esteemed Prophet Pu Lin from the Tian Yuan Clan gave me when I was born. Please have a look."

The elf inspected the stone carefully, then shook his head, saying: "I don’t see anything special. But since you’re so certain that you’re from the Tian Yuan Clan, you can follow us into the forest. Did you really come to the Elf Forest just to pay our queen a visit?"

Yan Shi replied: "Our journey is to travel through the Tian Yuan Clan’s territory to retrieve certain things from the Death Mountain Range. As we were passing through your territory, we decided to pay our respects to Her Majesty, the Queen."

A fairy with long purple hair that flowed over her shoulders flew over to the male elf and constantly whispered something to him. The language was unfamiliar to everyone, and Ah Dai guessed that it must be the Elven language.

The male elf nodded in agreement as the fairy whispered, and after she finished, he hesitated before saying: "Very well, since you’re associated with the Tian Yuan Clan, follow us into the forest. However, our Elf Mages will seal your abilities until Her Majesty the Queen has confirmed your identities to ensure your freedom."

Yan Shi furrowed his brows lightly and said somewhat angrily: "Since when did the Elf Clan start treating guests like this? This isn’t your style! Is this an order from Her Majesty, Queen Xi Luo herself?"

The male elf replied defiantly: "Yes, this is the order from Her Majesty herself. We are commanded to never let any outsider pass, whether you agree or not, we must detain you all." After saying this, all the elves raised their short bows again. A female elf at the back held a delicately small magic wand, radiating a mild green light.

Xuan Yue said to Yan Shi: "So this is your so-called kind and peace-loving Elf Clan, huh? To me, they seem even more domineering than your Tian Yuan Clan! They want to capture us upon meeting."

Yan Shi replied: "Something major must have happened for the Elf Clan to act this way. Friends of the Elf Clan, please don’t make any sudden moves and let us discuss this." He then turned to Ah Dai and said: "Brother, we cannot conflict with the Elf Clan. Let’s follow their wishes."

Before Ah Dai could respond, Miao Fei interjected: "How is that acceptable? If we are sealed of our powers, won’t we just become sitting ducks?"

Ah Dai looked at Yan Shi, then Miao Fei, and asked the leading elf: "My Elf friend, isn’t there any other way? We truly bear no ill will." 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

The male elf scoffed coldly, saying: "How are we to know if you guys are not just thieves using the Tian Yuan Clan’s name. No, we must seal your powers first before we can lead you into our Elf Forest."

At this point, Moon Scar stepped forward, standing in front of Miao Fei, he declared loudly: "Alright, we trust the Elf Clan, we’ll do as you ask."

Miao Fei anxiously claimed "Moon Scar, that’s not an option! We can’t let them seal our powers."

Moon Scar glared at him and said: "It doesn’t matter, I believe that the Elf Clan will not harm their friends. Come on."
