Chapter 1267: Chapter 115 Golden Jade Restaurant_2

The trio circled around the edge of the Andis Exchange to the side, and indeed, a tall and magnificent building came into view. It was a three-story building, with an imposing exterior. At each side of the entrance stood two giant stone pillars, each one meter in diameter, reaching all the way to the rooftop. The seven pristine white steps were spotless, and the four-meter-high doors shone with a golden glow. Hanging above the door was a black plaque with three big characters—Golden Jade Building. On either side of the entrance stood eight young girls in pink long dresses, each about 1.7 meters tall, with beautiful features and sweet smiles on their faces.

The scene involuntarily reminded Ah Dai of his time at the Dark City Secret Elite Nightclub, and he subconsciously touched the portrait of Bing in his bosom. Bing’s voice and smile flashed through his mind. Thinking of that pitiful girl, his gaze became fixed, and he looked a little dazed.

Xuan Yue sensed the change in Ah Dai’s expression and asked, "Big brother, what’s wrong? Have you been here before?"

Ah Dai snapped out of his reverie, "Ah! No, how could I have been here before? It just reminds me of a casino I saw when I was in the Empire of Sunset City saving the Elves."

Xuan Yue said irritably, "You must be eyeing the beauties by the door, huh?" Her voice rose considerably, and the sixteen girls at the entrance turned to look in their direction. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

Ah Dai was greatly embarrassed and said awkwardly, "Brother, keep it down. It wouldn’t be nice for them to hear, and why would I fancy any beauties? Let’s go, I’m hungry. The owner here must be really good at doing business, placing a restaurant right next to the Andis Exchange which is frequented by merchants, there’s no way it wouldn’t make money."

Olivia couldn’t help but laugh at Ah Dai’s embarrassed demeanor. Despite his immense strength, he stood there blushing like a boy who hadn’t seen much of the world.

Xuan Yue said, "Why be afraid of speaking up? Unless you’re having improper thoughts, why fear people knowing?" In truth, even she didn’t understand why she had spoken such irrational words, perhaps jealously reacting without realizing it. She looked up uneasily at Ah Dai and saw that he was just embarrassed, not angry, after hearing her words.

"Welcome," a crisp voice said, startling Ah Dai and Xuan Yue, who were preoccupied with their own thoughts. They had already arrived at the doorway of the Golden Jade Building. The combined voices of the sixteen girls had quite an impact, and because of Xuan Yue’s words, Ah Dai kept his head down, not daring to look at the girls, and quickly followed Olivia inside. The two girls at the door hurriedly opened the gates for them, welcoming them in.

It was only after the door closed behind them that the redness in Ah Dai’s face began to subside, and he looked around. The floor of the Golden Jade Building’s main hall was completely covered with dark red carpet, and dozens of ivory-white pillars were neatly arranged around the hall, creating an orderly atmosphere. Approximately fifty dining tables were neatly set in the central area, with a girl in a white blouse and pink long skirt standing by each. The most striking feature was a large square water pool in the center of the hall, with sides of about ten meters in length. Blue ripples gently undulated on the surface of the crystal-clear water, and if you approached, you could clearly see the pebbles laid at the bottom. Beside the pool were two elegant spiral staircases leading upwards.

Since it was still morning, there were no diners in the hall. As soon as Ah Dai and his companions entered, two hostesses came up to greet them, their expressions puzzled by the trio’s attire. They had left the Mage Guild on the continent in a hurry, and Xuan Yue was still wearing her commoner’s clothes; Ah Dai’s Red Magic Robes were also damaged in several places. Only Olivia was decently dressed. No wonder the hostesses found their appearance strange.

"Excuse me, are there three of you?" a hostess ventured to ask.

Following the hostess’s gaze, Olivia also noticed Ah Dai and Xuan Yue’s outfits and quickly interjected, "We’re Mages from the Mage Guild of the continent, the three of us. Please take us up to the private dining on the third floor."

A look of surprise flashed in the hostess’s eyes, and she apologetically said, "I’m very sorry, but the private dining on the third floor has already been reserved for this afternoon, so..."

Olivia frowned, "We’re just here for a quick meal and will be done before noon; we just want to sit for a while, what’s the trouble with that? The Mage Guild has often patronized your establishment." The third-floor private dining was renowned far and wide for its elegant decoration and exceptional service, making it a favorite spot for wealthy merchants.

Upon seeing Olivia getting a little irritated, the hostess said anxiously, "I’m really sorry, esteemed Mage, but this afternoon, our Clan Leader is hosting guests from the Red Charming Clan for a banquet. To ensure privacy, the entire third floor has been reserved. We need some time to prepare in advance, so we cannot accommodate the three of you. I’m sorry. We have private dining on the second floor as well; would that be alright for you?"

Olivia replied irritably, "The Clan Leader? The Clan Leader of the Yajin Tribe, right? It seems your Golden Jade Building really is doing good business to even have the Clan Leader visiting."

Ah Dai said, "Let’s just go to the second floor then. We’re just here for a meal, no need to give them a hard time."

The hostess, relieved, quickly said, "This way, please. I’ll take you to the second-floor private dining," and led the three towards the central staircase. As they approached the stairs, a splashing sound drew the attention of Ah Dai and Xuan Yue. From the pool emerged two black, satin-like heads which glanced at them before diving back into the clear water. Their black bodies gracefully swayed in the pool, occasionally breaking the surface, sending ripples across the water. Ah Dai recognized them - they were a type of sea creature, which as a child in Nino Small Town he had seen fishermen catch. Fishermen called them sea dogs, whose fur could fetch a high price. He had not expected to see them here again, which brought a sense of kinship to his heart.
