Chapter 1090: Chapter 76: The Melody of Growth_5
Byinlog nodded and said, "I am concerned for Your Majesty’s safety, so I came here first. Water, Fire, Earth, and Wind Guards, you must protect His Majesty. I want to see for myself what special abilities these elves have, daring to provoke us in the Royal Palace." With that, he chanted a spell, floated into the air, and flew toward a palace not far away.
Under the lead of the Elf Queen, Ah Dai and the group of eighteen successfully infiltrated the interior of The Imperial Palace of the Sunset Empire. Although some guards spotted them, those guards had been seized by plants, unable to block their forward march. Even those not restrained by the plants could not stop them. The Elf Queen herself did not expect the power of this magic to be so great; it seemed to cover the whole palace, causing her to recover some of the energy she had spent massively as they moved through the vegetation, reminiscent of a forest. Under the cover of the growing melody, their advance went exceptionally smoothly, only encountering a few groups of powerful guards, which Ah Dai and the Yan Shi brothers dealt with quickly. Soon, they crossed a corridor, and the Elf Queen’s eyes flashed brilliantly as she pointed to a palace on the left and said, "It should be there; let’s go." Saying this, she beating her wings anxiously, and rushed off. Ah Dai followed shortly after and reached the palace first. He gave a loud shout, his hands flickering with yellow-green solid-state energy, and a massive surge of fighting spirit suddenly bombarded the wall, causing a momentous noise as the palace wall collapsed, leaving a two-meter-wide breach.
"Who is it?" Several shouts rang out as seven or eight figures rushed out. These people were the guards arranged by Byinlog to look after Elf Princess Xing’er, and they were aware of the situation outside, so they could only retreat into the room. When the palace wall was suddenly breached, they immediately reacted and, being the elite of the Palace Guard, were quick to attack. For a moment, various colors of fighting spirit light flew out from the hole blasted by Ah Dai. Ah Dai was startled, but not panicked. In the past year, he had been through tests of blood and fire and matured a great deal, especially in terms of combat experience, which had increased manifold. Though the oncoming fighting spirits were powerful, Ah Dai was confident he could handle them. Floating lightly backward, he brought his hands together above his head, raising them high, and a three-foot-long yellow-green energy blade appeared at his fingertips. With a sudden downward slash, the solid-state fighting spirit with immense energy seemed to tear the air itself, emitting a piercing whine. The oncoming seven or eight fighting spirits were split in half by the energy blade, sliding past Ah Dai’s body on both sides, incapable of harming him. Without stopping, Ah Dai rushed into the palace, his hands weaving numerous webs of light that entangled the guards inside. The Yan Shi brothers dashed in through the fighting spirits split by Ah Dai, their bodies radiating yellow light, their weapons aimed straight at the guards inside, launching powerful attacks.
The guards obviously did not expect their fighting spirits to be so easily broken and were slower to react. The first three were immediately entangled in the yellow-green fighting spirits, their meridians sealed by the energy shock, losing their ability to fight. With a loud shout, the Yan Shi brothers circled around Ah Dai, one sword and two axes leading strong fighting spirits, leaving the remaining guards powerless to fight back.
