Chapter 49: Xiao Fei’s Evolution and Heaven Deceiving Art

A minute had passed since the reconstruction process had begun, Tang Yin’s screams of pain and creaking noises from his bones had been echoing out in the cave nonstop.

Xiao Fei’s concern had reached its peak, she was nearly panicking at this point. Tang Yin screaming could be considered a good thing as it ensured he had not collapsed from the pain, which would otherwise mean certain death.

Another minute passed by, and the reconstruction process had been 2/3 completed. Tang Yin’s screams and roars only became louder when the pain increased as the reconstruction neared its end.

Eventually, the minute passed by, but for Tang Yin, the minute had lasted for an eternity. The reconstruction process had finally been completed. Tang Yin had also swiftly reached the 3rd stage of the Physique Transformation Realm.

He could feel his flesh and bones become much tougher and more durable. His body’s weight had also lightened, indicating his speed had also been improved by a large margin.

Tang Yin snapped out of his stupor when he heard Xiao Fei’s bashful chirp. Tang Yin looked around him and discovered that he was naked, his clothes had been ripped to shreds, and pieces of it laid all over the cave. He must have ripped away at his clothes during the intense pain without realizing.

Tang Yin let out a wry smile when he saw Xiao Fei cover its eyes with its wings in a bashful manner. He got up and brought out a fresh set of clothes before wearing them, then he once again inspected his body’s condition.

His Qi Sea was empty, but his Heaven Devouring Abyss Martial Spirit still contained enough Abyss Qi to allow him to go through one more reconstruction. After careful consideration, he discarded the idea. He had barely managed to withstand the pain inflicted during his 2 recent reconstructions of his body. If he forcibly went through another reconstruction, Tang Yin’s mind would break down from the continuous unbearable tortuous pain inflicted on him.

Tang Yin directed some of the Abyss Qi within his Martial Spirit to surge into his Qi Sea, he had to always maintain his Qi Sea at maximum capacity to be ready to counter any type of situation.

He would refine his body through his Heaven Devouring Abyss Martial Spirit instead. But before that, he had to go out and test his new strength at the 3rd stage of the Physique Transformation Realm.

Xiao Fei landed beside his feet and chirped, Tang Yin knew through their faint connection, the chick wanted some Spirit Stones for its hard work. Tang Yin smiled, Xiao Fei had been guarding the cave vigilantly for the past month without any sleep or rest. It had dedicated itself to protecting him regardless of the situation, Tang Yin could also sense its concern and worry when he was going through his reconstruction phases.

Tang Yin had decided not to be stingy this time, he opened the storage ring and a small pile of 100+ Low-grade Spirit Stones appeared before Xiao Fei. Xiao Fei was stunned, but it did not pounce on the pile of Spirit Stones. Instead, it looked towards Tang Yin with doubt and suspicion.

"Thank you for guarding me for the past month, I promised to give you some Spirit Stones. If you do not want them, I don’t mind taking them back." Tang Yin said with a ghost of a smile on his lips, Xiao Fei forced down its doubts and pounced on the small pile of Spirit Stones. With each peck, it would swallow a Spirit Stone whole. Within a few minutes, the pile of Low-grade Spirit Stones had disappeared.

Tang Yin was stunned, he had given Xiao Fei that many Low-grade Spirit Stones for its effort in guarding the cave and for another reason. The reason was that he already had loads of Abyss Qi stored within his Martial Spirit, he was about to test his new strength on Demonic Beasts, which would mean even more Qi would be converted to Abyss Qi.

He thought Xiao Fei would stopping eating after swallowing a few Spirit Stones, but he made no attempt to stop her from eating all the Spirit Stones. Xiao Fei was lumped over a large rock with a bulging stomach, she looked as if she had just eaten a whole cow.

Xiao Fei suddenly burst into black flames; Tang Yin dodged the black flames with his new speed. He was once again shocked; he had not expected such a change to happen. "Xiao Fei!" Tang Yin shouted but received no response.

A few breaths later, the black flames were all retrieved back into Xiao Fei’s body. She appeared lumped over a rock in deep sleep, there was no longer a bulge on her stomach.

Tang Yin used the Heaven Piercing Gaze on Xiao Fei and became enlightened, he calmed down and slowly approached the cute sleeping chick.

He had discovered with his Heaven Piercing Gaze, a large influx of energy was swirling around and inside Xiao Fei’s body. This was the sign of the growth and evolution of a Demonic Beast. Therefore, Tang Yin was not worried at all, this only meant Xiao Fei would become stronger when she awoke from her slumber.

He gently picked up Xiao Fei and stored her within the chest pocket of his large black robes, his black robes were sown with red threads. Along with Tang Yin’s wild blood red long hair and abyssal black eyes, his handsome face and the large black robe gave him a devilishly handsome appearance.

Tang Yin did not leave the cave so quickly, since he had arrived at the Physique Transformation Realm, he had unlocked the 2nd layer of the Heaven Devouring Abyssal Sanskrit.

The main reason why Tang Yin had decided to push through into the 3rd stage of the Physique Transformation Realm was because he would receive a Martial Skill from the Heaven Devouring Abyssal Sanskrit when he reached the 3rd and 7th stages within the Physique Transformation Realm.

Tang Yin had seen the power of the Abyssal Sword and the prowess of the Heaven Piercing Gaze, a Martial Skill from the 2nd layer of the Heaven Devouring Abyssal Sanskrit was bound to be extraordinarily powerful.

Tang Yin looked at the 2nd layer of the Heaven Devouring Abyssal Sanskrit in his head very carefully, he did not want to miss even a single clue.

According to the Sanskrit, the Martial Skill he received was called, Heaven Deceiving Art. Like the Heaven Piercing Gaze, it was not an attack-type Martial Skill but a practical one.

The Heaven Devouring Abyssal Sanskrit described that the Heaven Deceiving Art could allow the user to change their appearance and aura to whatever they desired.

However, the prerequisite for this was that the cultivator using this art had to have seen and felt the aura of whatever they were going to morph into. The user could manipulate the aura of their cultivation base to deceive anyone, but the manipulated cultivation base could not be manipulated to appear stronger, only weaker.

That was to say Tang Yin could allow others to perceive him as any stage of cultivation he preferred, as long as it was below his current cultivation base. This also meant that Tang Yin could hide as a wolf in sheep’s clothing, and attack with the complete element of surprise.

As soon as Tang Yin saw the function of the Martial Skill, his heartbeat skyrocketed. He needed a practical Martial Skill like this badly, it would be really convenient to make transactions and do a bunch of other things without anyone finding out his real identity.

He could also disguise himself into any Demonic Beast he had seen before, this opened up a myriad of possibilities for Tang Yin. If the Heaven Deceiving Art was already so efficient and useful, then what type of priceless Martial Skill would he receive when he reached the 7th stage of the Physique Transformation Realm?

Just the thought left Tang Yin with goosebumps, he calmed himself down before looking outside the cave. He still had to test out his new strength; he could also use this chance to figure out the might of the Heaven Deceiving Art.

Tang Yin left the cave, he was currently in the Outer Ring. His goal was the Inner Ring, or more accurately a Low-tier Rank 2 Demonic Beast. He wanted to the fight Demonic Beast on his own with his own strength. This was the most accurate way to judge his strength.

He dashed through the forest at full speed, without any need to rest. Within 20 minutes, Tang Yin arrived at the Inner Ring. The map he had obtained was no longer useful, he had already killed all the Rank 2 Demonic Beasts that were listed upon it.

Tang Yin could only use his memory of the Inner Ring from when he visited last time. Tang Yin roamed around cautiously, before long he appeared before a group of Demonic Beasts.

There were 5 Demonic Beasts in this pack. Tang Yin recognized them as Silver-Moon Wolves. The leader of the Silver-Moon wolves was a Low-tier Rank 2 Demonic Beast, and the other 4 smaller Silver-Moon wolves were all High-tier Rank 1 Demonic Beasts.

Tang Yin had morphed into a bush 100 meters away, he had also hidden his aura using the Heaven Deceiving Art. Even if a Physique Transformation Realm cultivator walked past him, they would not notice him even in the slightest.

Tang Yin was using the Heaven Piercing Gaze to scout the Silver-Moon wolves, along with the increase in his strength, the distance of the Heaven Piercing Gaze had also increased to 150 meters. He had a clear view of the Silver-Moon Wolf pack.

The Silver-Moon wolves were all beautiful, they all had silver fur and crescent-shaped marks on their forehead. But this was just a deceitful appearance, they were in fact very fierce and hostile to any other living creatures other than their own pack.

The Silver-Moon Wolf in charge was noticeably larger than the other 4 wolves, it stood out like a sore thumb. Anyone would be able to recognize it as the pack leader.

Currently, the pack was hunting for prey, the Silver-Moon Wolf in charge was at the back while the other 4 underlings were sniffing around to catch the scent of prey. The direction they were travelling towards was where Tang Yin had transformed into a bush.

If Tang Yin did not move out of the way, he would encounter the wolf pack in a few minutes. This was his goal, he wanted to test the efficiency of the Heaven Deceiving Art. If he were discovered, with his current strength he would not be at a disadvantage fighting head-on against the whole pack by himself.
