Chapter 45: Large Transaction
Tang Yin arrived back to Maple Leaf City, he was still wearing his black cloak and mask, on his shoulder sat Xiao Fei. Tang Yin did not return to the inn but headed straight to the Nie family’s auction hall.
Eventually, he arrived at the gates of the auction hall, there was a disciple of the Nie family looking over the place. Once he saw Tang Yin, he walked up to him and barked "Outsider, there is no auction today, leave."
Tang Yin furrowed his brows at the rude tone of the disciple, but he still politely said "I have a business transaction I would like to discuss with Elder Nie Jin, please take me to him."
"Do you think any cat or dog can come and ask to see the Elder Jin? Scram before I kick you out." The arrogant disciple completely disregarded Tang Yin and barked out again.
Tang Yin had used the Heaven Piercing Gaze on him, this arrogant disciple was only at the 7th stage of the Spirit Channelling Realm. Tang Yin could kill him with a slap, but if he did so, he would become a wanted man by the Nie family. This was against his plans.
Tang Yin did not say any more words but brought out all the herbs and ores he had gotten from the territories of the High-tier Rank 1 Demonic Beasts. "Is this enough for you to bring me to Elder Nie Jin?" Tang Yin coldly asked the stunned disciple.
"F-Fellow cultivator, pardon my rudeness from before, please follow me." The attitude of the arrogant disciple took a 360 degrees turn before he put on a look of flattery and led Tang Yin inside the auction hall.
Before long Tang Yin and the disciple arrived at a door. This door was even more lavish compared to Grand Appraiser Lin’s door. "Elder Jin, there is a cultivator here who has a big transaction to discuss with you." The arrogant disciple wrapped his fist in his palm and bowed deeply towards the door before speaking very politely.
"Oh, a big transaction? Enter" A familiar deep voice echoed from the door. Tang Yin opened the door and entered, the arrogant disciple bowed once more before closing the door and leaving.
The room was very large, even the furniture was huge. Nie Jin was seated on a large comfy sofa with a beautiful woman in his embrace. "Take a seat." Nie Jin plainly said while groping the woman, clearly, he thought little of Tang Yin.
Tang Yin sat opposite Nie Jin on an identical sofa, "This transaction is large, I wish to conduct it in privacy." Tang Yin said in a voice that said if Nie Jin refused, he would leave.
Nie Jin knitted his brows and frowned but he did not refuse, he looked at the woman beside him. The woman understood the meaning of his gaze and left the room, only Tang Yin and Nie Jin remained.
Tang Yin did not let Nie Jin speak before he brought out all the herbs and ores within his storage ring. Nie Jin looked at this in surprise, ’He’s only a cultivator in the Spirit Channelling Realm, he couldn’t have gotten all this on his own. There must be a powerful master behind him.’ Nie Jin thought, if it were anyone else, they would also arrive at a similar conclusion. After all, Tang Yin was only in the Spirit Channelling Realm, it was impossible for him to obtain this many herbs and ores.
Nie Jin was just about to speak when Tang Yin brought out all 12 of his Demonic Beast Cores at once, Nie Jin stood up in shock. He almost had the urge to kill and rob Tang Yin right there and then. He calmed himself down first and thought. ’So many Demonic Beast Cores, I wasn’t wrong, there is definitely a powerful master behind this person. I cannot afford to offend him at any cost. Instead, I must draw the powerful master behind this person into the Nie family.’ Nie Jin secretly plotted, Tang Yin’s thoughts churned when he saw Nie Jin’s expression. Within an instant, he understood what the other was thinking.
’Alright, I’ll play along.’ Tang Yin sneered inside his mask. "Fellow cultivator, for these herbs and ores, I can give you 150 Low-grade Spirit Stones. If I am not mistaken, these 12 Demonic Beast Cores were all extracted from Low-tier Rank 2 Demonic Beasts. I can offer 100 Low-grade Spirit Stones for each Demonic Beast Core." Nie Jin examined the herbs, ores and cores on the tables and offered a price.
Tang Yin was inwardly shocked, but his expression was displayed under the mask, even if it was visible, his expression showed nothing on the surface.
"Hm, it’s a bit low but it’s fine, I want 13 Mid-grade Spirit Stones and 50 Low-grade Spirit Stones." Tang Yin said after a moment of thought. Nie Jin hesitated, once he thought about the powerful master behind Tang Yin, he gritted his teeth and agreed. "Alright."
Nie Jin put away the herbs, ores and Demonic Beast Cores into his storage ring and brought out 13 shiny Mid-grade Spirit Stones and 50 Low-grade Spirit Stones. Tang Yin immediately realised the Qi contained within the Mid-grade Spirit Stones was much purer and 100x the quantity of Low-grade Spirit Stones.
Tang Yin stored away the 13 Mid-grade and 50 Low-grade Spirit Stones in his storage ring while retaining his shock. "Since the transaction is successful, I’ll take my leave." Tang Yin stated, once he saw Nie Jin nod, he walked towards the door.
As he reached the door, a thought occurred to him. "If you send anyone to secretly follow and monitor me, my master will cut off all ties with your Nie family and go to the Shan family to conduct business instead." Tang Yin left a clear as-day warning to the surprised Nie Jin, and without waiting for a response he left.
