Chapter 346: See, I Told You
For Law Domain Realm cultivators, having their Law Domain shattered would result in serious injury or even death. However, recondensing a Law Domain was not an impossible task, it simply demanded a vast amount of resources, time, and effort.
The reason behind this was quite straightforward, comprehension.
Law Domain Realm cultivators had already achieved a deep understanding of their primary Principle, and in some cases, even their secondary Principles.
When recondensing a Law Domain, they only needed to recondense the physical matter of the domain, not its inner workings.
Since cultivators possessed the knowledge and comprehension necessary to create a Law Domain, the intangible part of the process remained fixed. Therefore, the shattering of a Law Domain was the destruction of its corporeal element, it only required reconstruction to recondense the Law Domain, thanks to the cultivator’s existing comprehension and prior experience in its creation.
Even though Qian Zhong’s Domain of Crescent Magnificence had been shattered by Xiao Fei, he still had the capability to recondense it given enough time and resources.
However, Tang Yin and Xiao Fei had no intention of letting Qian Zhong live. With his Law Domain gone, Qian Zhong was now rendered powerless, akin to a tiger without claws.
Qian Zhong was not foolish, he knew the gravity of his situation. Without a Law Domain, he stood no chance against Tang Yin and Xiao Fei. There was no point in pleading for mercy or bargaining for his life.
Without hesitation, he turned and fled for his life.
In a desperate attempt to increase his speed, he consumed various pills and activated powerful Artifacts from his storage ring. However, his body was already heavily fatigued and weakened.
His Spirit Qi and Soul Energy were almost depleted, leaving him in a dire state. As a last resort, Qian Zhong resorted to spitting out blood essence to fuel his Artifacts, further draining his already weakened body.
The effects of the shattered Law Domain were also evident, causing his cultivation base to weaken and regress from the Early-stage Law Domain Realm towards the Principle Manipulation Realm.
With time running out, he knew he had to find a way to escape Tang Yin’s pursuit before his cultivation base dropped further.
Tang Yin did not take the situation lightly. Although Qian Zhong was practically harmless to him now, he was still a Law Domain Realm cultivator, despite his regressing cultivation base.
Tang Yin swiftly activated the Abyss Emperor Transformation and shot forward. However, before he could give chase to Qian Zhong, he was halted by Xiao Fei.
"Master, I can handle it." Xiao Fei reassured. The next moment, the dissipating bloodline projection shot after Qian Zhong.
Qian Zhong and the bloodline projection somehow managed to move at a similar pace. Although it couldn’t close the gap entirely, it wasn’t left trailing either.
Xiao Fei merely smirked. "Burn..."
Suddenly, the bloodline projection’s nine phoenix tails set on fire. They weren’t black or white flames, but grey flames.
The sudden ignition of the bloodline projection’s nine phoenix tails with grey flames caught Tang Yin’s attention. He couldn’t help but notice a sense of longing in Xiao Fei’s eyes as she watched the mysterious grey flames dancing around the bloodline projection’s tails. The sight intrigued him, wondering what significance these unique flames held for Xiao Fei.
Swiftly, the grey flames consumed the nine phoenix tails and began creeping towards the bloodline projection’s talons and torso. Surprisingly, instead of being harmed by the flames, the projection accelerated, its speed increasing threefold.
Qian Zhong, witnessing the entire scene through his divine sense, was struck with shock and fear at the unexpected turn of events.
As Qian Zhong found himself in a desperate situation, he realized that there was very little he could do to escape. Despite consuming numerous pills to replenish his strength, it still wasn’t enough to refill his Spirit Qi and Soul Energy.
Even the very little amounts he did replenish were immediately utilised to sustain the use of the Artifacts that increased his speed. He had to resort to sacrificing more blood essence just to keep the Artifacts functioning. He felt completely cornered.
And just when he thought things couldn’t get any worse, he witnessed something that further heightened his despair.
The bloodline projection, despite already being partially burnt by the grey flame, suddenly manifested two more flames, one black and one white. These flames enveloped each of its wings, along with the grey flames surrounding its talons and lower torso. Only its head and upper torso remained free from the flames.
Despite this ominous sight, what truly terrified Qian Zhong was the bloodline projection’s speed, which had now increased twofold again. In mere moments, it had closed the distance and was now right behind him.
’Everlasting Hell Flames and Everlasting Heaven Flames... Could the grey flames be the Eternal Fate Flames?’ Tang Yin deduced upon witnessing the appearance of the familiar Everlasting Hell and Heaven Flames.
As Qian Zhong struggled to find a way to escape the bloodline projection’s pursuit, he was confronted with a baffling sight that pushed him to the brink of a mental breakdown. The bloodline projection, along with the three flames that engulfed it, vanished into thin air as if it had ceased to exist.
However, in the blink of an eye, the bloodline projection reappeared, this time hovering directly above Qian Zhong as if it had teleported itself to that position.
The sudden disappearance and reappearance of the bloodline projection left Qian Zhong in a state of shock and terror, realizing that he was completely at the mercy of this mysterious and overwhelming force.
As Tang Yin witnessed the bloodline projection’s sudden teleportation, a realization dawned upon him. ’Space Warp!’
Xiao Fei had a natural affinity with space and fate, and she already had the ability to Space Warp. If she could do it, then logically, the bloodline projection, which derived all of her abilities, also possessed this power.
However, using Space Warp came at a significant cost for the bloodline projection. Its form had become even more tenuous and ethereal, on the verge of dissipating completely. It seemed as fragile as a gentle breeze could cause it to collapse.
However, all of that did not matter. As long as the bloodline projection was not completely extinguished, it was enough.
SCREEEE
With a resounding screech that exuded thick Killing Intent, the bloodline projection collapsed inwards, unleashing a devastating implosion. The grey, black, and white flames that had once enveloped its form now intensified, converging inwards with unparalleled force.
In that moment, an incomprehensible power surged forth, creating a vortex of destruction that seemed to defy the laws of nature. The force of the implosion was so overwhelming that even Qian Zhong, a Law Domain Realm cultivator, couldn’t help but falter.
In the next instant, the implosion reached its zenith, and everything within its radius was obliterated. The bloodline projection’s final act of defiance left an indelible mark on the battlefield, and Qian Zhong’s figure was lost within the maelstrom of destruction.
The sky rumbled and trembled as if mourning the loss of the bloodline projection, and silence fell over the once chaotic battlefield. Tang Yin stood there, his eyes wide with astonishment at the sheer power unleashed by Xiao Fei’s bloodline projection.
"See, I told you." Xiao Fei giggled slightly. But the next moment, her smile faded, and her body plummeted from the sky.
Her body was falling straight towards a large tear in space, which was only one of the many tears and cuts in space caused by the implosion of the bloodline projection.
With a swift movement, Tang Yin’s divine sense reached out and enveloped Xiao Fei’s falling body just in the nick of time, preventing her from being swallowed up by the ominous tear in space. The tear seemed to exude an eerie aura, threatening to consume anything that ventured too close.
After carefully examining Xiao Fei’s body, Tang Yin felt a wave of relief wash over him.
He realized that she had expended a substantial amount of her blood essence to power the bloodline projection, especially in the last moment, when the bloodline projection had utilised Space Warp to appear above Qian Zhong.
In addition to the blood essence depletion, Xiao Fei had sustained a few other injuries during the intense battle. However, Tang Yin was optimistic that she could fully recover and return to her peak condition with enough time and the right resources.
Tang Yin carefully transported Xiao Fei to the Abyss Firmament and laid her on the 10-kilometre large platform floating in the boundless void. He then brought out a substantial quantity of Myriad Spirit Milk and infused it into her body using his divine sense, ensuring her recovery.
Once he was confident that Xiao Fei would be well taken care of, Tang Yin returned to the outside world.
The battlefield was now quiet, and the tears and cuts in space slowly began to close. The echoes of the epic battle lingered in the air, but the presence of the once-mighty Qian Zhong had vanished without a trace.
He then looked over the horizon...
