Chapter 334: Descending a Bit More

Once Tang Yin was done contemplating the various uses of the Heaven Binding Seal and altering his future plans, he was swiftly brought back to reality.

’Now that my cultivation base has increased, so has my resistance against the pressure of the Space Principles.’ Tang Yin thought to himself as a brief glint flashed in his eyes.

"Xiao Fei." Tang Yin muttered under his breath.

Immediately, a slight distortion appeared in the endless darkness that was the Abyss Layer of the Hectic Chasm Holy Land.

"Master." Xiao Fei’s enchanting figure walked out of the distortions in space. Her eyes narrowed slightly in surprise as she scrutinized Tang Yin from head to toe.

"You broke through already?" Xiao Fei exclaimed in surprise. Although Tang Yin had informed her of his goal, she didn’t think he could reach it so quickly. It had been less than 6 weeks!

Tang Yin simply nodded. There was no need to explain to her how he had broken through so quickly as even he himself was a bit unsure. After all, he had expected things to take longer as well.

"Are we going down?" Xiao Fei asked in excitement. The more Space Principles that Tang Yin devoured, the more she could increase her understanding of the Principle of Space.

Tang Yin nodded once again before nonchalantly waving his arm. Xiao Fei’s body disappeared almost instantly. She was sent into the Abyss Firmament.

After sending Xiao Fei into the Abyss Firmament, Tang Yin looked down.

The Hectic Chasm Holy Land was filled with endless darkness, this was even more prominent in the deepest layer of the Holy Land, the Abyss Layer.

Tang Yin could only see a radius of 200 kilometres around him in the darkness. However, this was enough for him to spot any incoming surprise attacks and sense the dense quantity of Space Principles in the surroundings.

Just the initial level of the Abyss Layer was filled to the brim with Space Principles, Tang Yin could hardly imagine what things would be like at the deepest part of the Abyss Layer.

Tang Yin slowly descended. As he did so, he could feel the pressure of the Space Principles around him steadily increasing. His divine sense was continually being suppressed. 199 kilometres, 198 kilometres, 197 kilometres, 196 kilometres...

After descending languidly for 10 minutes, Tang Yin’s divine sense had been restricted to a radius of only 150 kilometres.

By now, the Space Principles’ density had increased by a noticeable amount.

However, with the Abyssal Armour, Ethereal Slaughter Art and Starlight Veil helping to resist the pressure, Tang Yin knew that he could still descend a bit more.

Unfortunately, the Abyss Emperor Transformation always had a limited duration after its activation. It could not be constantly utilized like Tang Yin’s other Martial Skills and techniques. Therefore, the Divine Spirit Skill was currently on a cooldown period.

Tang Yin continued to descend. After another 10 minutes, he came to a halt. He had reached the 1,100th-kilometre mark within the Hectic Chasm Holy Land.

However, this was only the initial 1% of the Abyss Layer, Tang Yin had not even touched upon the outer layer of the true depths of the Abyss Layer.

According to the jade token provided to him by Qian Zhong, the Abyss Layer was supposedly 10,000 kilometres deep! If the size of all the other Layers and the Abyss Layer were combined, the Hectic Chasm Holy Land was 11,000 kilometres deep in total.

The Space Principles were simply too dense in the Abyss Layer. However, Tang Yin knew that he could descend even further, which was exactly what he did.

Thanks to his powerful body and soul which were strengthened even further by the 2 minor stage breakthroughs to the Peak-stage of the Principle Comprehension Realm, Tang Yin was able to resist the pressure of the Space Principles to a larger extent than before.

It was only after reaching 2% deep into the Abyss Layer, which was also the 1,200th kilometre mark of the Hectic Chasm Holy Land did Tang Yin finally come to a halt for the last time.

He could feel it... He could sense that he was at his limit. Sure, he could descend a bit further. However, he intended to utilize the Space Principle Attraction Flag Set.

If Tang Yin utilized the Flag Set somewhere even deeper in the Abyss Layer, he would attract too many Space Principles. This would result in his body and soul being shredded into multiple pieces due to the large pressure of the overbearing Space Principles.

Currently, the pressure of the Space Principles in the surrounding area was bearable enough for Tang Yin. He could resist the pressure just enough to stay in his current location indefinitely.

Tang Yin’s divine sense had also been reduced to a mere 100-kilometre radius. This meant that Tang Yin would need to split 40 kilometres of his divine sense to the Heaven Devouring Abyss to overlook the devouring process, and another 40 kilometres would need to be allocated to the Abyss Firmament to direct Xiao Fei and lead the expansion of the Abyss Firmament whilst the last 20 kilometres worth of divine sense would be used to keep track of his surroundings.

Overall, if there were any living beings nearby, Tang Yin would be in severe danger if they decided to attack.

However, from the information he had received from the jade token given to him by Qian Zhong, there were no living beings in the Abyss Layer of the Hectic Chasm Holy Land... except for one.

Luckily, this one living being resided at the complete depths of the Abyss Layer. Therefore, Tang Yin did not need to particularly worry about it unless the living being decided to specifically target him.

Tang Yin also had not encountered any living beings in the Abyss Layer yet. Due to this, he doubted that he would suddenly be attacked out of nowhere.

However, although this gave Tang Yin no reason to keep any attention on his surroundings, he still decided to allocate 20 kilometres of his divine sense to his vicinity, clearly insinuating his caution.

Tang Yin swiftly took the golden box containing the Space Principle Attraction Flag Set out of his storage ring.

Tang Yin opened the box, revealing the 5 finger-sized white flags stored within.

He infused some of his Abyss Qi into the 5 white flags and scattered them in a 20-metre circumference around him.

The Array Formation embedded within the Space Principle Attraction Flag Set was rapidly activated. Tang Yin instantly noticed the increase in Space Principles around him, and it was only increasing.

Tang Yin did not wait for the Space Principle Attraction Flag Set to reach its maximum efficiency, he immediately started to Devour the Space Principles that tried to seep into his body.

The amount of Space Principles that he devoured was almost twice fold compared to when he was at the initial 1% of the Abyss Layer.

As the Space Principles were rapidly devoured and relocated into the Abyss Firmament, Tang Yin felt a strange sensation. He could feel the pressure of the Space Principles lift off his shoulders for a brief moment after each devourment. However, the intensity was much larger compared to before.

Tang Yin felt as if his body and soul were being torn apart as the density of the Space Principles increased via the Space Principle Attraction Flag Set. In fact, he was not entirely wrong.

His body was damaged despite being under the protection of the Abyssal Armour, Ethereal Slaughter Art and Starlight Veil. However, the damage wasn’t too severe. Passive Regeneration was able to heal all of his wounds before they got any worse. As such, a cycle of damage and regeneration played out.

Tang Yin not only had to deal with the tearing sensation from the pressure of the Space Principles, but he also had to deal with the continual pain that his body had to go through from damage and regeneration.

However, Tang Yin’s mental endurance was incredible. This was not enough to break his will or scare him into retreating to somewhere with a lesser density of Space Principles.

Meanwhile, inside the Abyss Firmament, Tang Yin’s divine sense and Xiao Fei calmly handled the influx of Space Principles. They efficiently manipulated the Space Principles to the edges of the Abyss Firmament, swiftly expanding it.

Xiao Fei had already become very proficient in her Space Principle Manipulation ability. She did not need to utilise the Abyss Firmament’s power to do so like in the beginning.

However, Tang Yin’s divine sense could not manipulate Space Principles. As such, he needed to use the Abyss Firmament’s will to impose on the Space Principles and effectively guide them to the edges of the Abyss Firmament.

Like this, the Abyss Firmament was continually enlarged at a rapid pace. Xiao Fei and Tang Yin’s divine sense were not stressed or overworked.

Xiao Fei’s mastery over her Space Principle Manipulation ability had reached an extremely high degree. She could control a colossal amount of Space Principles at once. She was able to take on most of the influx of Space Principles in the Abyss Firmament without any problems or burdens.
