Chapter 321: There’s a Small Problem
Upon arriving back at his mansion, Tang Yin entered his cultivation chamber.
He sat down and look at the golden box in his hand. But he didn’t open it, instead, he read the small book with his divine sense. It only took a couple of seconds.
After remembering everything within the small book, he destroyed it.
Only then did he open the golden box. Within the golden box, there were 5 small white flags, each the size of a finger.
Tang Yin took the small white flags into his palm and injected his Abyss Qi into them. Immediately, the white flags enlarged at a rapid pace. Within a moment, they were as large as an average human.
Tang Yin gestured with his hand and the 5 white flags flew into position and remained rooted to the ground. The 5 white flags created a 10-metre large circle around Tang Yin.
"Activate." Tang Yin softly muttered under his breath, the input of his Abyss Qi into the 5 white flags increased. The 5 white flags started to emit a soft white glow.
Tang Yin activated the Heaven Piercing Gaze. What he saw made him smirk. He could see the white particles, the Space Principles, in the atmosphere and void slowly moving towards the centre of the 5 white flags, where he sat.
However, the density of Space Principles in the cultivation chamber was sparse. As a result, the number of Space Principles attracted to the centre of the Space Principle Attraction Flag Set was minuscule.
’Good, it works perfectly fine. It should be of some use in the Hectic Chasm Holy Land.’ Tang Yin thought to himself.
He stopped injecting Abyss Qi into the Flag Set, causing the 5 white flags to shrink back into finger-sized flags. He then put them into the golden box and stowed it away in his storage ring.
Now, there was only a single day left till he departed with Qian Zhong to the Hectic Chasm Holy Land.
For the remainder of the day, Tang Yin thought of his grand plan for the Abyss Firmament.
By devouring the Space Principles in the Hectic Chasm Holy Land, he could either permanently consume them and increase his cultivation base or relocate them into the Abyss Firmament through the Heaven Devouring Abyss.
Naturally, Tang Yin planned to relocate the Space Principles into the Abyss Firmament. Once he accomplished this, he would be faced with 2 choices.
Either he could expand the Abyss Firmament’s size and make it larger than its current size of 10 kilometres, or he could reinforce the density of the Abyss Firmament’s space.
By reinforcing and strengthening the Abyss Firmament’s space, it would be much more difficult for any being to shatter it.
For example, if 2 Spirit Ascension Realm cultivators battled in the current Abyss Firmament, its space would most likely shatter.
However, if Tang Yin reinforced the space of the Abyss Firmament with Space Principles, then even a battle between 2 Principle Comprehension Realm cultivators would be unable to damage the space of the Abyss Firmament.
Tang Yin wanted to expand the size of the Abyss Firmament first, there was no sense in reinforcing 10 kilometres worth of space. So, what if the space shattered due to its low durability? It would just fix itself once the Space Principles regathered.
The repair process would be even quicker if Tang Yin specifically focused on it since the Abyss Firmament was under his control. He didn’t need new Space Principles to fix the space.
Space being shattered was essentially just the dispersion of Space Principles due to an external factor. The external factor would usually be a battle between powerful cultivators whose attacks were strong enough to scatter the Space Principles in the surrounding area.
The density and durability of space were essential. Not only would a sturdy space allow for cultivators to battle unhindered, but it would also make it more difficult for weaker cultivators to travel through the void and damage it.
An example of this would be back when Tang Yin battled the Head Elder of the Martial Beast Sect.
The space in that area was quite dense. As a result, even with Xiao Fei’s Space Warp which enabled travel through space, Tang Yin had to bear the immense pressure of the Space Principles condensing the space in that area.
If Tang Yin focused solely on expanding the Abyss Firmament, then the resulting space created in the Abyss Firmament would be fragile. Perhaps even a Spirit Vein Condensation Realm cultivator could shatter the space and travel through the void unhindered.
Therefore, although Tang Yin was going to prioritize the expansion of the Abyss Firmament, he would only do so to a certain extent.
Once the Abyss Firmament was over 10,000 kilometres large, Tang Yin would focus on using the devoured Space Principles to reinforce and strengthen the 10,000 kilometres of space.
Since his grand plan revolved around enslaving Rank 8 Demonic Beasts and using their Passive Domains to create various Biomes, the space of the Abyss Firmament had to be sturdy and durable enough to withstand their might.
Otherwise, even a stray fart from a Rank 8 Demonic Beast would be able to shatter several hundred kilometres worth of space. It would be quite troublesome and annoying to repair the shattered space in that case even though it just required a little bit of attention and concentration.
Once Tang Yin completed the expansion and reinforcement of the Abyss Firmament’s space, he would be faced with another problem, world-building.
Space Principles were just that, Space Principles, they created space and void.
Once Tang Yin expanded the Abyss Firmament to a reasonable size, the Abyss Firmament would become a huge void with a 10-kilometre large platform at its centre.
To change this, Tang Yin would need to add Earth Principles, Water Principles, Plant Principles, Life Principles, etc. Only then would he have a proper world and not some small platform.
But then he would be faced with more problems. The Abyss Firmament would just be a large grassland with the occasional river or beast here and there. It would not even begin to compare with a real world.
To address these issues, he could incorporate various Principles into the Abyss Firmament. For instance, adding Fire Principles would generate natural phenomena such as volcanoes and other related occurrences. Implementing Wind Principles would introduce airflow and natural winds within the Abyss Firmament. Light Principles would ensure visibility for any living beings inhabiting the world. Additionally, Gravity Principles would facilitate the natural attraction between objects and enable movement for the inhabitants. These were just the basics, Tang Yin knew that many other Principles needed to be considered and implemented to further enhance the Abyss Firmament.
However, he didn’t plan to do everything himself. This was where his grand plan for enslaving the Rank 8 Demonic Beasts came from.
He would simply create a foundation for these Rank 8 Demonic Beasts, he would not create a whole ecosystem or habitat himself. He would create a foundation for the Rank 8 Demonic Beast’s Passive Domains. Then, everything would progress itself.
But creating the foundation was always the hardest part for almost anything. The Rank 8 Demonic Beasts would not even need to do anything, their Passive Domains would do all the work. Whereas Tang Yin would need to scout Holy Lands and Devour as many different types of Principles as he could in abundant quantity.
Just thinking of all the things he would need to do to create a flexible foundation for the Rank 8 Demonic Beast’s Passive Domains to create a natural environment made Tang Yin sigh in exhaustion.
However, Space Principles were the largest issue. If the Abyss Firmament remained at 10 kilometres large, it would be reduced to a mere storage space.
Like this, time passed quickly and the time to meet Qian Zhong arrived.
During this time, Tang Yin mostly fiddled around with the Space Principle Attraction Flag Set and attuned his plan for the Abyss Firmament. The adjustment of his plan wasn’t large, it was mostly the small details.
After the time allocated to him by Qian Zhong was up, Tang Yin swiftly made his way to the Moon Pavilion.
During the way, he was not stopped at all. Everyone in the Moonlit River Sect was informed of his status back when Qian Zhong had announced Tang Yin’s status just below his.
Everything was the same upon arriving outside the Moon Pavilion. Tang Yin swiftly opened the Moon Pavilion’s door and entered. He was once again greeted by the pavilion’s magnificent sights and pompous layout.
Within a minute, Tang Yin arrived at the centre of the Moon Pavilion. There, he saw an old man, it was Qian Zhong.
"Finally here, huh." Qian Zhong remarked.
"Yes, I was preparing for the trip." Tang Yin nodded.
"Alright, well everything has been sorted out. However, there is a small problem." Qian Zhong said with a sigh.
"What problem?" Tang Yin asked, perplexed.
"You’ll see once we get there." Qian Zhong nonchalantly waved his hand and walked towards the Moon Pavilion’s exit, followed by the confused Tang Yin.
