Chapter 312: Returning to the Neutral Cultivation Alliance Branch
A month quickly passed.
During this time, Qian Zhong had already returned. He had informed Tang Yin that he would take him to the Hectic Chasm Holy Land in 3 months. During that time, he could complete any tasks he needed to and tie up loose ends. After all, he would be in the Hectic Chasm Holy Land for a decade.
After some thought, Tang Yin decided to return to the Neutral Cultivation Alliance Branch.
He had come up with a method of obtaining another type of Lighting Essence. He would put up a commission in the Neutral Cultivation Alliance and make someone else obtain it for him.
Of course, he couldn’t do it for free. He would need to spend some of his contribution points. But since he had quite a lot, Tang Yin did not mind. It was worth it.
Before returning to the Neutral Cultivation Alliance Branch, Tang Yin was visited by Xu Yun and Qiu Yinzi.
"Big Brother Asura, are you leaving? Why can’t you stay for a bit longer?" Xu Yun pleaded. Qiu Yinzi was standing beside Xu Xun, she did not say anything. However, her expression also showed some reluctance.
"I definitely would like to stay for a bit longer, however, I have some matters that need to be dealt with." Tang Yin could only sigh internally. If he knew that Qian Zhong would be so amicable to him, he would have never gotten so close to Xu Yun, now he had to deal with her blind love.
Although he could abuse her blind love and make Xu Yun his, he would not do so. Especially not since Qian Zhong would have an excuse to make Xu Yun his wife.
After spending some time placating the 2 girls, Tang Yin departed from the Moonlit River Sect.
However, right before he did so, Wan Mei tried to meet him again. But he could not deal with her annoying schemes, so he pretended not to notice her and quickly left.
Qian Zhong had offered to send a few Elders with him as security, but Tang Yin tactfully refused. He was powerful enough to defend himself.
Only Law Domain Realm cultivators and Rank 8 Demonic Beasts could harm him. In that case, the extra security would amount to mere cannon fodder.
After finally relieving himself of the Moonlit River Sect’s hassles, Tang Yin could finally breathe a sigh of relief. He hadn’t even joined an organization, yet he was already irritated to such a degree. This only fuelled his belief of remaining as a Rogue Cultivator.
Tang Yin took 2 weeks to return to the Neutral Cultivation Alliance Branch.
During the journey, he encountered many Rank 7 Demonic Beasts, which he disposed of. Luckily, he didn’t meet the Frost Wyrm or any other Rank 8 Demonic Beasts.
In terms of cultivators, Tang Yin completely avoided them by sensing them beforehand with his divine sense. For some reason, he had come to loathe most cultivators. He did not know why, but he instinctively felt a sense of annoyance and derision every time he saw a cultivator.
Of course, people like Qian Zhong, Liu Hao, Tian Huang, Xu Yun, Xiao Fei and other cultivators that he had a good impression of were excluded. Nevertheless, he still despised 99.9% of cultivators despite having not even met them.

"It was difficult." Tang Yin responded without any elaborations. He handed his Personal Identification Token to Liu Hao who swiftly transferred 30,000 contribution points into it before giving it back to Tang Yin.

Liu Hao nodded. "Sure."
Tang Yin had already stored all of the corpses in a separate storage ring beforehand. He simply handed it over to Liu Hao.
Liu Hao inspected the storage ring, but he wasn’t surprised. He was already used to Tang Yin bringing back Demonic Beast corpses from all of his missions.
After a few minutes, Liu Hao finally finished his calculations.
"There are 4 Low-tier Rank 7 Demonic Beasts, 2 Mid-tier Rank 7 Demonic Beasts and 1 High-tier Rank 7 Demonic Beast. If we include the Demonic Beast Cores, Beast Souls and all the valuable parts and special properties of these Demonic Beast corpses, the total amount of contribution points amounts to 160,000." Liu Hao announced.
Tang Yin nodded. He had expected as much. He also left the Demonic Beast Cores and Beast Souls of the Demonic Beasts inside their corpses to make things easier.
Tang Yin tossed his Personal Identification Token to Liu Hao. Liu Hao added 160,000 contribution points to the token before handing it back to Tang Yin.

His most recent plan was to commission a mission in the Neutral Cultivation Alliance for cultivators to obtain Lightning Essences for him. This would cost him a lot of contribution points.
However, he had forgotten an extremely important fact. The Neutral Cultivation Alliance was a Rank 8 Organization!
Why commission them to obtain Lightning Essences for him when he could just directly buy the Lightning Essences from the Exchange Market?
Unfortunately, the Void Lightning, Soul Lightning and Holy Lightning were the only Lightning Essences that the Neutral Cultivation Alliance had in stock. If he wanted to obtain more, he would need to obtain them himself or commission a mission for others to obtain them for him.

Such locations were few and far between, making the creation and acquisition of Void Lightning a highly difficult endeavour.
Soul Lightning was a rare type of lightning in the cultivation world. It mainly attacked one’s soul and was especially effective against cultivators with weak souls.
Soul Lightning also had the special property of being able to bypass one’s soul defence.
For example, if someone attacked Tang Yin with Soul Lightning, they could potentially bypass the protection of his Soul Sanctuary and directly attack his soul.
Creating Soul Lightning was not a natural process but required specialized techniques or methods. However, such techniques and methods were exceedingly rare and scarce, leading to the rarity of Soul Lightning within the cultivation world. Consequently, Soul Lightning commanded an exorbitant price in the market due to its limited availability.
In contrast, Holy Lightning served as a self-explanatory concept. It possessed immense destructive power that could be effective against a wide range of targets. However, its effectiveness was particularly pronounced against malevolent beings and dark forces.
For instance, if Tang Yin possessed Holy Lightning during his encounter with Demon Spirits within the Demon Spirit Cavern back in the Exotic Enclosure Region, he could easily vanquish a Demon Spirit of similar strength to himself.
Similar to Soul Lightning, Holy Lightning could only be artificially created through specific techniques and methods. The key difference lay in the requirement of being at least a Tier 4 Forger, in addition to possessing the necessary materials and resources for forging Holy Lightning. Holy Lightning was typically channelled and utilized through Artifacts due to the involvement of a skilled Forger.
As a result, Holy Lightning was the easiest to obtain among the Void Lightning and Soul Lightning. This was also why it cost a less amount of contribution points in the Exchange Market compared to the other 2 types of lightning.
