However, huge chunks of the Glacial Spire were destroyed, whilst spiderweb-like cracks riddled its surface, it was on the brink of destruction.
With a mighty groan, the Glacial Spire held firm, though barely. Its foundation weakened, and it leant precariously like a wounded beast desperately trying to survive.
The Void Splitting Slash dissipated, its destructive force spent in the futile attempt to erase the frozen monument.
Chen Piu’s brows narrowed. He didn’t expect a ’Mid-stage Principle Manipulation Realm cultivator’ to nearly shatter his attack.
’This person is not like the average Mid-stage Principle Manipulation Realm cultivator.’ Chen Piu deduced in his mind as his vigilance against Tang Yin rose.
Tang Yin stood in the air calmly, without taking the initiative. He wanted to drag things out. The best way to do this would be to focus on defence.
"Frozen Prison!" The biting Blizzard whipped around Chen Piu, and the air around him became even chillier.
Whatever remained of the Glacial Spire broke down into Ice crystals, glimmering in the pale light, as a dense fog of frost enveloped the surroundings.
Through his profound control of Ice Principles, Chen Piu summoned forth a manifestation of his frozen might, and a crystalline cage rapidly took shape around Tang Yin.
Within a moment, the Frozen Prison took form, its glistening walls forming an intricate lattice of ice, translucent and firm.
Within the Frozen Prison, Tang Yin found his movements become sluggish as the freezing fog tried to penetrate and enter his body.
Ice tendrils extended from the Frozen Prison’s surface, snaking their way towards him.
The Blizzard suddenly intensified, and gusts of wind howled through the clouded skies, further reinforcing the Frozen Prison’s icy grip.
Yet, Tang Yin was not so easily subdued. His muscles rippled under his skin, about to release the might of his Mid-stage Principle Manipulation Realm body.
As soon as a few tendrils approached him, he waved his arm as if he were swatting a fly.

With a loud boom, the icy tendrils instantly shattered. But that was not all. The power of that simple swat continued to surge into the other tendrils, shattering them as well.
After shattering all of the icy tendrils, the force of that simple attack travelled all the way to the Frozen Prison’s surface.

Another explosion rang out. Although the Frozen Prison wasn’t destroyed, a large hole had been opened on its surface.
Chen Piu’s eyes narrowed once again. He didn’t believe that this was the result of Tang Yin’s physical body. He believed that Tang Yin had utilized some profound technique to cause this much damage to his Frozen Prison with just a slap.
However, no matter how much he thought back to Tang Yin’s simple action of swatting the icy tendrils, he could not discover any trace of a technique being used.
Tang Yin also did not purposely destroy the Frozen Prion even though he could with just a bit more effort. He wanted Chen Piu to think that he was still in control so that he could drag things out even longer.
Surprisingly, Chen Piu did not amend the Frozen Prison. Instead, he started to conjure up another attack.
"Ice Shard Barrage!" Several tens of ice shards that were a metre long took form around Chen Piu. The number reached over a hundred within a moment.
"Go!" With Chen Piu’s command, the Ice Shards shot towards the Frozen Prison with lightning-fast speed. It was as if a shower of comets was raining down on the Frozen Prison.
The Ice Shards did not attack the Frozen Prison though. Instead, they precisely made their way through the large hole created by Tang Yin on the prison’s surface to enter the confinement.
’Clever.’ Tang Yin remarked in his mind. He did not sit still this time.
The Abyssal Sword manifested in his hand once again. As the first Ice Shard approached him, he slashed the Abyssal Sword towards it.

The Ice Shard easily shattered. The Abyssal Sword also vibrated for a moment after the collision. A small amount of Ice Principles were devoured from the Ice Shard by the Abyssal Sword, which was swiftly converted into a proportionate amount of Devouring Principles.
Tang Yin’s eyes shone. ’The Abyssal Sword must have also evolved like the Heaven Piercing Gaze.’
The second Ice Shard arrived instantly after the first.

Tang Yin swung the Abyssal Sword at the second Ice Shard, shattering it. Like what happened a second ago, the Ice Principles were devoured by the Abyssal Sword, only to be converted into an equal amount of Devouring Principles.
Tang Yin smiled, he dived headfirst into the barrage of Ice Shards with the Abyssal Sword.

Continuous bangs rang out every time the Abyssal Sword destroyed an Ice Shard. After destroying several tens of Ice Shards, cracks started to form on the surface of the Abyssal Sword.
’I’m still an Early-stage Principle Comprehension Realm cultivator. Secondly, the Void Splitting Slash arrived at the Frozen Prison’s surface, easily crushing it. Similar to the Ice Shards, the Ice Principles in the Frozen Prison were extracted and devoured by the Devouring Principles.

"Ice Armour! Glacial Iceberg!" Chen Piu realised the severity of the situation. He quickly utilized his 2 most powerful defensive Martial Skills.
A majestic bluish-white armour of ice rapidly took form around Chen Piu’s body, even providing defence for his head.
Simultaneously, the Ice Principles in the surrounding Blizzard gathered to form a mini iceberg before Chen Piu. It was 100 feet large and 20 feet thick.
"You ant! Witness the true might of a Late-stage Principle Manipulation Realm cultivator!" Chen Piu shouted with madness in his voice.
"Frost Nova!!" With the loudest shout he could muster, Chen Piu activated his most powerful Martial Skill.
As soon as he activated the Frost Nova, the surrounding Blizzard disappeared as if it had not existed in the first place. The world seemed to freeze for an instant.
However, in this instance, a collision that threatened to destroy the heavens took place.

The Void Splitting Slash collided with the Glacial Iceberg, sending huge pieces of ice flying in all directions. The Glacial Iceberg was split into 2 parts with pure destruction. The 2 parts of the iceberg then exploded even further, bringing a downpour of hail and huge boulders of ice plummeting to the ground.
The Void Splitting Slash used up 30% of its power in destroying the Glacial Iceberg. Nevertheless, it still continued flying towards Chen Piu, until it encountered the Frost Nova.
A huge amount of freezing energy which could render even a Mid-tier Rank 7 Demonic Beast defenceless, headed towards the Void Splitting Slash.

The blast of freezing energy turned into a small piece of ice right before projecting into the Void Splitting Slash.
The Void Splitting Slash’s momentum was halted for a moment before carrying on. It was as if the Frost Nova was completely ineffective on the Void Splitting Slash.
However, the Frost Nova was able to deplete the Void Splitting Slash by another 50%. Only 20% of the Void Splitting Slash’s power remained.
The remaining power of the Void Splitting Slash shot into Chen Piu, contacting his Ice Armour first.

The Ice Armour around Chen Piu’s legs, arms and torso shattered. However, the armour around his head remained intact.
Unfortunately, the Void Splitting Slash had used up all of its power and was forced to dissipate, even the Devouring Principles scattered.
Chen Piu only sustained minor injuries which were of no consequence. He instantly trained his eyes on Tang Yin, there was lingering fear in his eyes.
However, upon seeing Tang Yin, his fear disappeared, replaced by enlightenment.
"So that was your last ditch effort to kill me. Wishful thinking!" Chen Piu shouted with smugness.
Tang Yin’s body appeared visibly withered, and his black robes were stained with a large amount of blood. The light in his eyes had disappeared. Clearly, he was in no condition to battle anymore.
