Chapter 286: Abyss Firmament
Tang Yin immediately went to the second section of the Heaven Devouring Abyssal Sanskrit, the Principle Step. He could only preview the first layer of the second section which was for the Principle Comprehension Realm.
From what he could see, everything in the second section of the Heaven Devouring Abyss Sanskrit was identical to the first section, even the layers.
According to the Sanskrit, Tang Yin could obtain 2 abilities in the Mid-stage and Peak-stage of the Principle Comprehension Realm respectively.
The ability that he could obtain once he reached the Mid-stage of the Principle Comprehension Realm was called Abyssal Armour.
As for the ability that he would receive once he reached the Peak-stage of the Principle Comprehension Realm, it was named Heaven Binding Seal.
This was all that Tang Yin could preview about the 2 abilities he could obtain from the Heaven Devouring Abyssal Sanskrit. He would only be able to view the whole description of the abilities once he obtained them by reaching the appropriate realm.
For now, he could only speculate about the abilities of these 2 skills from their names.
His speculation regarding the Abyssal Armour was quite simple. He believed it to be the armour version of the Abyssal Sword. As for the specifics, he would need to wait till he reached the next stage.
The Heaven Binding Seal was quite difficult to connote. A seal could mean many different things. On one hand, it could be an attack focused on restriction, whereas, on the other hand, a seal could be a powerful attack utilizing numerous hand seals or Array Formations.
After racking his brains, Tang Yin decided not to dwell on this. Even if he somehow correctly guessed everything about the Heaven Binding Seal, it would not help him in any way.
Tang Yin quickly moved on to the next part, the truly exciting part.
According to the Heaven Devouring Abyssal Sanskrit, he would receive an extraordinary serendipity for every new section he unlocked.
This meant that he would obtain the next miraculous serendipity once he advanced past the Law Creation Realm and entered the next step of cultivation, the Dao Step.
Without a moment of hesitation, Tang Yin absorbed the ’serendipity’.
As Tang Yin gazed at the Heaven Devouring Abyssal Sanskrit in his mind, a sudden flash of light blinded him momentarily. Even with his powerful soul, Tang Yin felt as if he were just a miniscule ant before the light.
However, this did not last long. The blinding light rapidly faded as intricate patterns formed, snaking their way into Tang Yin’s soul. Some of these patterns were glowing golden whilst the others were as dark as a shadow.
As the golden and black patterns swirled faster, they surged into Tang Yin’s soul like a torrent, overwhelming his senses with a force like a dam bursting. Tang Yin felt a sharp pain in his head as if his mind was being torn apart. But just as quickly, the pain subsided, and the golden and black patterns became clearer and comprehensible.
The golden runes seemed to emanate a warm, comforting energy, while the black runes radiated a dark, freezing energy. Tang Yin could sense that the rune possessed a powerful force, along with boundless secrets and knowledge that were beyond his wisdom.
As the runes flooded into his mind, enlightenment, shock and excitement washed over Tang Yin.
’Abyss Firmament!’ Tang Yin’s eyes opened with a powerful glint. This was the name of the new ability or rather serendipity he had received.
It could not be considered an ability or skill as the serendipity he had received was an independent world! That’s right, a separate world! This was the reason for Tang Yin’s shock and excitement. Never in his wildest dreams would he have ever imagined possessing his own world.
Along with the Abyss Firmament, Tang Yin automatically learnt everything about his new world. This included things like the capacity of the Abyss Firmament, its abilities, its limitations and how to develop it.
It was like obtaining a pet along with a manual on everything about the pet, its habits, its lifestyle, its food, the best training method, etc.
The only thing that baffled Tang Yin was the location of the Abyss Firmament. Although he had learnt how to enter the world, he did not know where it was located.
He knew that it was inside his body, but he also knew that his whole physical body and soul could enter the Abyss Firmament without any restrictions.
It seemed as if the Abyss Firmament was located inside his soul, but the ability to enter the world with his whole self said so otherwise. After all, he could not enter his soul with his physical body and whatnot, it simply made no sense.
However, after a careful moment of thought, Tang Yin directed his attention to the Heaven Devouring Abyss. Although he did not know where the Abyss Firmament lay, he had a hunch. He guessed that it was located somewhere inside the Heaven Devouring Abyss.
After careful inspection along with what could be described as a deep probe, he found no traces of the Abyss Firmament residing in the Heaven Devouring Abyss.
A long while later, Tang Yin decided not to continue searching for the true location of the Abyss Firmament. It was too exhausting and frustrating.
To enter the Abyss Firmament, Tang Yin only had to think about doing so.
In an instant, his body standing above the sea disappeared. It was as if reality had decided to erase Tang Yin’s existence from its record.
Tang Yin found himself in a foreign world.
The Abyss Firmament was a place of stark contrast, where the darkness of the sky clashed with the vibrancy of the ground below. The sky above was a deep, inky void that seemed to stretch on forever. The occasional flash of black and red lightning dazzled the abyssal skies for brief moments.
Upon seeing the familiar black and red lightning, Tang Yin was even more convinced that the Abyss Firmament was either a part of the Heaven Devouring Abyss or resided within it.
The ground below was a lush, verdant paradise, a place of stunning beauty and vivid life. It was filled with a thick layer of soft, velvety, emerald grass. Flowers of every hue grew in protrusion, dotting the landscape with bright pops of colour.
’The sky should represent the ’Abyss’ whilst the ground symbolizes ’Firmament’. Even this is contrasting. This was Tang Yin’s initial thought upon seeing his personal world for the first time.
Despite the ominous appearance of the sky, there was a sense of peace and tranquillity in the Abyss Firmament. The greenery of the ground seemed to glow with a radiant light as if infused with the very essence of life itself.
As Tang Yin languidly strolled through the grass, he could feel his profound connection with the Abyss Firmament. It was as if he had control over every nook and cranny within the Abyss Firmament. With a single thought, everything would act according to his will.
’Such a strange feeling, but also very addictive. Is this what the heavens feel as the supreme ruler of the universe?’ Tang Yin basked in this feeling, but he did not touch or move anything within the Abyss Firmament.
The reason was quite simple, there was nothing to move or alter. The ground was essentially just an endless grassland whilst the sky was just dark clouds with a bit of lightning imbued within.
Of course, Tang Yin knew that the Abyss Firmament was not truly boundless or endless. It was only around 10 kilometres large at the moment.
However, Tang Yin did not mind. He already knew how to develop and expand the Abyss Firmament.
All he had to do was incorporate and add Space Principle into the Abyss Firmament. He could then do whatever he wanted with the Space Principles inside his world.
For example, he could use the Space Principles to expand his world, or he could use them to fortify the density and pressure of the current space inside the Abyss Firmament.
Naturally, things were not that simple. If Tang Yin wanted to expand the Abyss Firmament, he would also need more Principles such as Earth Principles, Water Principles, Time Principles, etc.
After all, if he expanded the Abyss Firmament with Space Principles, then what? The new space would just be an empty void of nothing. He would need to create earth and soil with Earth Principles, then create appropriate minerals, ore and even a river with the addition of Water Principles. There was much more to this ’world building’, but Tang Yin was not flustered.
Time Principles were also extremely useful and helpful. With more Time Principles present in the Abyss Firmament, Tang Yin could speed up the rate of time inside his world.
10 days inside the Abyss Firmament would be equivalent to 1 day in the outside world. Of course, this was just an example. The true rates would depend on the quantity of Time Principles available in the Abyss Firmament.
Right now, the rate of time in the Abyss Firmament was the same as the outside world. Every second was equivalent to every second of time in the outside world.
Tang Yin also couldn’t add all of these changes immediately. It would take too much time. He still had many matters to deal with in the outside world before coming up with a solid plan for his Abyss Firmament.
