Chapter 188: Taking on a Mission

Tang Yin came to the Four Seasons Sect because he wanted to take advantage of them. He possessed enough knowledge about them from the old woman’s memory.

He knew that the sect housed many precious resources. Apart from trying to gain these precious resources, Tang Yin also wanted to head to the border of the war.

As a disciple of the Four Seasons Sect, he would kill Demonic Beasts and obtain their Demonic Beast Cores and sect contribution points. He would then exchange the sect contribution points for the precious resources in the sect.

He was going to kill 2 birds with one stone.

After getting what he wanted from the Four Seasons Sect, Tang Yin would then use the Heaven Deceiving Art to transform into a Demonic Beast.

He would slaughter many Qi Transformation Realm disciples of the Four Seasons Sect for their Spirit Flames.

After doing this, he would escape before any of the elders of the Four Seasons Sect could figure out his façade.

Overall, the plan was to obtain Demonic Beast Cores for Xiao Fei, the precious resources of the Four Seasons Sect and finally the Spirit Flame of Qi Transformation Realm cultivators.

He could obtain a fortune whilst increasing his cultivation. He could also advance Xiao Fei closer to her next evolution, not to mention the immense battle experience he could gather.

Tang Yin spent the rest of the day fine-tuning the details of his plan and getting accustomed to the old woman’s memories.

The next day, Tang Yin left the old woman’s cave abode and headed towards Spring Hall. He first needed to choose a task which required him to participate in the war between the south zone and the north zone.

There were many such types of tasks available in the Spring Hall. This was mainly to motivate the disciples of the sect to go out and help their fellow comrades participating in the war.

Nobody actually cared about this though. The disciples only took the tasks for the abundant amount of sect contribution points they could receive for completing them.

The Spring Hall had a region of the Four Seasons Island all to itself.

The Spring Hall was a majestic palace-like structure rooted on a colossal mountain. It was 400 meters tall and was built from impeccable gold. It was exquisitely beautiful and shone with a slightly blinding light. It was the sun reflecting off the golden material which the Spring Hall was built from.

However, it could not compare to Tian Huang’s Tempest Palace.

There were swarms of cultivators walking in and out of the Spring Hall. Some had excited looks on their faces while some wore dejected expressions.

There were also occasional arcs of light in the sky rushing into the Spring Hall before leaving shortly after. They were the core disciples.

Tang Yin also turned into a purple arc of light and rushed into the Spring Hall.

The inside of the Spring Hall was very large. There were 3 pillars which stood tall inside the hall.

Swarms of cultivators surrounded 2 of the pillars while the third one was only surrounded by a few cultivators.

Tang Yin knew from the old woman’s memories that the 3 pillars were where the tasks and missions of the Four Seasons Sect were distributed.

The first pillar was only open to outer sect disciples, the second pillar was only presented to inner sect disciples and the third pillar was only available to core disciples.

There were lines upon lines of golden writing written on the 3 pillars. They were the tasks which were available for their corresponding disciples.

Once a cultivator determined which task they wanted, they could go to one of the counters set up around the Spring Hall and talk to one of the cultivators in charge.

Tang Yin gazed at the third pillar. He examined all the tasks available before choosing one.

The task he chose required him to go to the south zone’s border and kill Demonic Beasts. A Rank 4 Demonic Beast was equivalent to 1,000 sect contribution points while a Rank 5 Demonic Beast was equivalent to 10,000 sect contribution points.

As long as Tang Yin killed 10 Rank 4 Demonic Beasts or 1 Rank 5 Demonic Beast, the task would be completed. Of course, he could kill more Demonic Beasts for more sect contribution points.

Tang Yin went up to one of the counters set up near the third pillar. There was a plump-looking youth sitting down on a chair lazily. The aura of a peak Spirit Vein Condensation Realm cultivator spread out from him.

’The Four Seasons Sect sure does have a lot of Spirit Vein Condensation Realm cultivators.’ Tang Yin thought.

"I want that task." Tang Yin pointed towards a piece of golden writing on the third pillar.

The plump youth instantly sat up straight and focused. ’It’s her!’ He knew full well of the vicious reputation of the old woman that Tang Yin had disguised himself as.

"Of course. Please wait a moment Senior." The plump youth quickly responded. He brought out a small token from his bosom and made a seal with one of his hands. The golden writing from the third pillar was extracted and sucked into the token.

The token shone for a brief moment before returning to normal.

"Senior, it has been recorded. As soon as you show evidence of the mission being completed, the sect contribution points shall be rewarded to you." The plump youth put the token back into his bosom and respectfully stated.

Tang Yin left the Spring Hall without a word.
