Chapter 139: Spirit Qi

Some of the cultivators turned around and sent Tang Yin curious glances, it was only now that they found out that he was a Spirit Vein Condensation Realm cultivator when Tian Huang had mentioned it.

This was because Tang Yin had used the Heaven Deceiving Art to hide his cultivation. Only Scattered Soul Daoist was able to see through him, but he did not care about a puny Spirit Vein Condensation Realm cultivator.

One of the Qi Transformation Realm cultivators turned towards Tian Huang and bowed before respectfully asking, "Senior, are we allowed to use Artifacts and other external items to help us climb the Heaven Ascending Peak?"

"You tell me." Tian Huang nonchalantly stated with a ghost of a smile on his lips.

The cultivator who asked the question looked at his storage ring and tried to bring out an item from it, to his dismay, he could not. It was as if there was an invisible seal on his storage ring.

The other cultivators also tried to bring out something from their storage ring, including Tang Yin. Unsurprisingly, they also failed. To their consternation, all of the cultivators discovered a seal placed on their cultivation bases. They could not circulate their cultivation.

Tang Yin’s expression changed ever so slightly, he had not noticed that a seal was placed on him until now.

Scattered Soul Daoist seemed to already know all of this, he took the lead and moved to the first step.

All the other cultivators slowly accepted their cultivation being sealed, they followed behind Scattered Soul Daoist and started their journey to the summit of the Heaven Ascending Peak.

Tang Yin did not follow them. There was no time limit, so he was going to take his time. He sat down cross-legged on the floor and meditated to slowly reach his peak condition. Tian Huang looked at him with surprise but did not say anything.

As soon as Tang Yin reached his peak condition, he got up and slowly walked towards the first step.

Tang Yin immediately felt a pressure descend on him, this pressure was bearable and did not really do anything except make his body feel a bit heavier.

A glint appeared in Tang Yin’s eyes, the pressure which descended on him was made of Qi. It was not any normal Qi though, it was Spirit Qi!

Spirit Qi was what made a Qi Transformation Realm cultivator superior to a Spirit Vein Condensation Realm cultivator.

When a cultivator attempts to break through to the Qi Transformation Realm, their Qi Sea would shatter and condense back to form a Spirit Flame.

The Spirit Flame would then convert all of the Qi inside of the cultivator into a superior and more pure form of Qi known as Spirit Qi. Any Qi that was then absorbed from the world or an external source would have to be converted and purified by the Spirit Flame of the cultivator before being able to reside in their body.

Spirit Qi was many times purer compared to Qi, this also meant that the Martial Skills cast using Spirit Qi would also hold power several times more when compared to using normal Qi.

It was exactly this aspect of Spirit Qi which allowed a Qi Transformation Realm cultivator to be superior to a Spirit Vein Condensation Realm cultivator no matter how strong they were. The boundaries were clearly divided.

The Heaven Devouring Abyss could Devour any type of energy. Although it was sealed, it could also be considered to not be sealed.

The seal which was placed on Tang Yin’s body was to prevent his Martial Spirit from leaving his body, while the seal fully restricted any use of Abyss Qi.

This hypothetically meant that the Heaven Devouring Abyss could still be used as long as anything Tang Yin wanted to Devour made physical contact with him.

The only problem presented before Tang Yin was to make sure that nobody noticed him devouring the Spirit Qi which descended upon him, including Tian Huang. So far, Tang Yin had determined that Tian Huang had not seen through the Heaven Devouring Abyss yet. He planned to keep it that way, he did not wish to expose his Martial Spirit which could potentially allow him to reach the peak of cultivation.

As Tang Yin slowly ascended the steps of the Heaven Ascending Peak, the pressure increased slightly each time.

Tang Yin used the Heaven Devouring Abyss to Devour a tad bit of Spirit Qi. Every time he devoured Spirit Qi, the pressure on him would decrease, this would only last for a moment though as more Spirit Qi would descend to fill in the devoured Spirit Qi.

When he looked around him, no one had noticed anything, including Tian Huang. He still had the look on his face which looked down upon all manner of being.

As Tang Yin continued to ascend the mountain, the amount of Abyss Qi contained within the Heaven Devouring Abyss increased exponentially. It was the most Tang Yin had ever possessed, and it was still rising.

Suddenly a thought occurred to him.
