Chapter 112: Unexpected Serendipity
The engravings on the stone looked very similar to the diagram drawn in the book. Tang Yin was almost certain that the engravings were of a Teleportation Formation.
Tang Yin did not do anything rash. The place he would be transported to was unclear, he did not want to wantonly activate the Teleportation Formation on the stone to a dangerous place where he could lose his life. Instead, he stored away the stone in a safe location within the Navy Mountain Ring.
Tang Yin brought out another Gambling Stone from his storage ring, it was a dark blue stone. He used the same process of opening it as he did with the previous 2 Gambling Stones.
The end product was an eye. The eye was bloodshot, there were blood capillaries filling every white part of the eye. Deep inside the eye, Tang Yin noticed monstrous resentment.
Tang Yin could see a vast amount of energy and vitality contained within the eye, it seemed to come from the body of a very powerful cultivator in the past. This reminded him of the rumours he had heard about the origin of Gambling Stones, an ancient battlefield.
Although Tang Yin did not know where the eye originated from, it was a very good nourishment for the Heaven Devouring Abyss.
Tang Yin activated the Heaven Devouring Abyss, and the dull miniature vortex appeared behind him. He swiftly threw it into the core of the abyss vortex without hesitation.
The moment the eye was devoured by the Heaven Devouring Abyss, its size grew to its peak instantly, and even the extra bit it had grown due to the spirit vein condensed by Tang Yin was reached.
A colossal amount of Abyss Qi was produced in the Heaven Devouring Abyss, the amount was the most Tang Yin had ever accumulated.
Even Tang Yin’s physique was strengthened and refined to a new degree, a large sludge of black liquid seeped out of all his pores. The black substance pouring out of his pores were all the impurities inside Tang Yin’s body being washed and ejected out of his body. Tang Yin’s skin became velvety, even his hair became a brighter and a bloodier shade of red. His appearance did not change, but all the minor details were altered to near perfection. Tang Yin’s newfound handsomeness could make even someone of Xiao Fei’s caliber to blush at the sight of him.
Both Xiao Fei and Tang Yin were stunned, they had not expected that devouring the eye of a strong cultivator from the past would incur such changes and benefits.
Tang Yin felt slight regret, if he had known the vitality and energy contained inside the eye would be so pure, he would not have wasted some of it on replenishing his Heaven Devouring Abyss, otherwise, the benefits he could receive would be much larger.
However, Tang Yin could feel a small amount of the energy and vitality from the eye still rotating within his body, it had not been completely devoured yet. He hastily stopped the Heaven Devouring Abyss from devouring the remaining vitality and energy of the eye for itself. Instead, he directed the Heaven Devouring Abyss to Devour and refine his body with the energy and vitality from the eye.
The black liquid which represented the impurities in his body was continuously being expelled. Tang Yin did not feel pain or any discomfort, instead, he felt as if a weight had been lifted from his body, it was a very comfortable and addictive feeling.
A few moments later, when the remaining energy and vitality of the eye were absorbed and used to refine Tang Yin’s body, the impurities from his body were fully expelled.
Tang Yin felt as if he could fly, he even had the faint notion of being able to lift a mountain with his body alone. However, he knew this feeling was just an illusion. It was only the increase in strength which allowed him to feel stronger than ever.
Although his cultivation had not risen, the increase in strength was physical, similar to reconstruction in the Physique Transformation Realm but much superior. Even Tang Yin had no idea what he had been through, except for the fact that he had gotten much stronger.
Xiao Fei stared at Tang Yin dumbfoundedly, she did not expect that the eyeball which she did not pay attention to after a glance, could provide such benefits.
She felt happy for Tang Yin, that he could receive such an opportunity. Even if she knew about the eyeball beforehand, she would not choose to take it.
Unconsciously, Xiao Fei regarded Tang Yin with more importance than her own life.
Tang Yin grimly searched his body. He was not stupid, anything which could provide such a serendipity would have large drawbacks. Even after searching for a large amount of time through every inch of his body, he could not find anything amiss.
Tang Yin did not know that there was a remnant soul in a deep slumber within the eye. The Heaven Devouring Abyss had devoured the remnant soul, not even Tang Yin had noticed this.
If he did not own the Heaven Devouring Abyss, the remnant soul would have tried to possess him. The possession would have most likely succeeded due to the large disparity in strength between Tang Yin and the remnant soul of the creature inside the eye.
Unknowingly, the Heaven Devouring Abyss had ridden the danger Tang Yin was searching for in his body.
