Chapter 111: Teleportation Formations
Once Tang Yin returned to the cave, he sat down and summoned the reinvigorated Heaven Devouring Abyss.
Tang Yin repeated what he had done the previous two times, the cycle of surging and condensation of the Heaven Devouring Abyss began once again.
Half a day later, Tang Yin walked out of the cave. There were 3 dense black veins squirming on his forearm, they faded away a few moments later. Tang Yin supported a dreary look on his face.
It had taken a little more than half of the Heaven Devouring Abyss to successfully condense the third vein.
A long black arc charged towards Tang Yin from the sky, the black arc soundlessly stopped before Tang Yin to reveal an excited Xiao Fei.
"Master, are you going to give me treasures now?" Xiao Fei asked as soon as she arrived before Tang Yin, her face was full of excitement and expectation.
Tang Yin sighed and responded, "I will open the treasures inside the cave, I’ll let you choose any 10 you desire." He had not forgotten about the piles of Gambling Stones stashed away in the Navy Mountain Ring. He just did not have time to open them until now.
Xiao Fei jumped onto Tang Yin’s shoulder with a light giggle, the duo entered the cave.
Tang Yin cleared up the cave to make room, then he sat down with the excited Xiao Fei. A mundane-looking dark brown rock appeared in his hand, it was a Gambling Stone.
Tang Yin made sure to constantly observe the Gambling Stone with the Heaven Piercing Gaze, a light wave of Abyss Qi enveloped the stone. The Abyss Qi gently and carefully chipped away at the Gambling Stone.
Within a minute, the dark brown Gambling Stone was reduced to less than half of its size. Tang Yin made sure to pay even more attention as he was about to reach the treasure inside.
Using the Heaven Piercing Gaze, Tang Yin precisely cut around the edges of the treasure without damaging it at all. The next minute, the ground was full of stone powder and small chipped pieces.
In Tang Yin’s hand was a golden rusty-looking phoenix hairpin. It looked as if the phoenix hairpin had been washed through the river of time, its surface was covered with endless rust.
Xiao Fei’s eyes lit up, and she quickly shouted, "This is the first treasure I want." Tang Yin looked at her and gave her the phoenix hairpin, it was clearly a woman’s accessory in the past, except for the fact Tang Yin did not know whether the hairpin was an Artifact or just a mortal accessory.
Xiao Fei enveloped the phoenix hairpin in her Everlasting Hell Flames, when the hairpin reappeared, it was sparkling in gold, the rust was completely gone. There were no cracks or damaged parts on its surface. The length of the hairpin was only a foot, it looked brand new after it had been cleansed by Xiao Fei’s flames.
Xiao Fei embedded the phoenix hairpin into her hair, she looked even more beautiful than before. Even Tang Yin was taken aback by her breathless beauty. Xiao Fei noticed this and blushed, she turned her head around so she would not see Tang Yin staring at her face in memorization.
Tang Yin snapped out of his daze, he let out a fake cough and brought out another Gambling Stone from his storage ring. The Gambling Stone this time was dark orange, it looked hideous.
Tang Yin used the same method as before, he carefully chipped away at the stone until he neared the treasure, then he precisely cut around the edges of the treasure.
The treasure which appeared from the Gambling Stone was a... stone, Tang Yin frowned. He inspected the stone for a good minute before noticing a runic engraving, the frown from his face disappeared. Xiao Fei lost all interest in the treasure after seeing its mundane appearance.
Tang Yin gave the stone to Xiao Fei, "Clean it." He stated Xiao Fei did not object, after all, she was going to receive 9 more treasures from Tang Yin. Doing a little bit of cleaning with her flames did not bother her.
Everlasting Hell Flames shrouded the small stone before disappearing an instant later. The engravings on the stone became much clearer.
Tang Yin looked at the engravings on the stone much more carefully with full attention, he found them familiar.
He took out a few books from his storage ring, they were books which briefly talked about Array Formations and Formation Masters.
Tang Yin flipped to a certain section in one of the books, there was a diagram of an Array Formation in that specific section. This was the diagram of a Teleportation Formation.
The information about Teleportation Formations was very vague, except for the diagram and brief introduction to Teleportation Formations, there was only one other thing listed.
Teleportation Formations were a special type of Array Formation which could transport a cultivator to a specific location within a certain distance. The distance would normally depend on the Formation Master who created the Teleportation Formation and the materials they used.
Other than this, it was stated that Teleportation Formations could only be created by high-tier accomplished Formation Masters, and even then it was difficult to create.
Lastly, it was mentioned, every Teleportation Formation had the same activation method unless it was altered during its creation. The method was to inject a certain amount of Qi into the formation to activate it, the cost of Qi would increase with each extra person.
