Chapter 321 -228 Who Changed My Script
Evening.
Jack’s Manor.
In the fourth-floor attic, Maggie placed a bottle of brown potion carefully and bent down to observe it closely.
The strange, thick liquid inside was constantly bubbling and even trembled slightly.
“Hmm… The enhanced experiment for the Thirst-quencher is showing some results, but right now I can’t find a suitable tester at the drop of a hat. Those Undead Foreigners have been who knows where these past few days…”
Maggie showed a troubled expression.
...
Suddenly, she had an idea and her expression turned to one of anticipation.
“I should go find Noah! As the only Flesh Faction Transcendent in the Circus, he’s the most suitable candidate!”
Maggie pounded her palm with determination, and without a second’s delay, she stood up, left the room, not even bothering to tidy up the messy desk.
She headed straight to the third floor, found Noah’s room, and banged hard on the door.
Thud thud thud…!
After a while, there was no response from inside.
Maggie continued to knock, then paced back and forth.
“Not in?”
She tried to turn the doorknob, found the door unlocked, and simply opened it.
“Eh… Looks like he really did go out.”
After a quick glance around the room and seeing no one, Maggie felt a bit disappointed. As she was about to close the door and leave, her gaze was caught by the paintings in the corner of the room.
All of them were covered with white cloths, completely obscuring whatever was painted beneath, and this strongly hooked Maggie’s curiosity.
She looked around to make sure no one was in the third-floor hallway and then snuck in stealthily.
She quietly locked the door behind her and walked straight to the corner where the paintings were, then suddenly yanked the white cloth off of one of them.
Whoosh—
A look of utter astonishment spread across Maggie’s face.
The next second, her cheeks flushed and her eyes sparkled with excitement.
“This…?!”
Maggie took a step forward, bent down, and hurriedly uncovered all the remaining paintings.
When she stood back up and swept her gaze over them, her whole face turned red.
“Oh my God! This is so exhilarating…”
Just then, Maggie suddenly realized her nose felt warm and moist. She touched it with her hand and to her surprise, it was bleeding.
“Huh?”

The following day.
Early in the morning, Connie and Maggie were sitting in the living room, both absorbed in looking at a painting.
The little white cat Biebu also seemed to join in the fun, poking its little head out from between them, admiring the artwork together.
The oil painting depicted Mr. Jack, except he wasn’t wearing his black hat or any clothes at all, for that matter. He had white wings on his back, arms outstretched in a cruciform manner, floating above the sky.
Thankfully, a piece of white silk cloth was wrapped around his torso, conveniently covering the more intimate areas.
In the painting, Mr. Jack gently tilted his head back, eyes closed, his bare muscles well-defined, looking like the most perfect statue shimmering in the sunshine.
“Hehe… What do you think, Connie?”
Maggie nudged the dazed Connie with her elbow, her face flushed and her mouth slightly agape.
“This… Is this Mr. Jack? So… so…”
She stammered, trying to say “such a perfect body,” but felt it was unbecoming of a lady.
Maggie’s eyebrows raised; this painting was actually the only one in Noah’s room that wasn’t completely nude. If she let Connie see the others, she feared she might frighten her.
The little white cat Biebu blinked, with a curious look in its eyes.
“What are you so shy about, Connie? This is called appreciation… Don’t tell me you’ve never been in love before?”
Maggie chuckled.
“No… Miss Maggie, what about you? You seem so knowledgeable, you must have a lot of experience, right?”
Connie asked curiously.
Maggie coughed, about to say something but then suddenly closed her mouth.
Just then, a figure silently approached them, a pale hand grabbed the painting and turned it around, holding it in an embrace.
Maggie and Connie looked up in shock to see:
“Miss Floey!”
Floey regarded them expressionlessly. After “staring” at them for a moment, she spoke softly:
“Don’t do this again. It could damage Lord Jack’s prestige, understand?”
“I’m sorry, Miss Floey, I won’t snoop again!”
Connie immediately apologized, sounding nervous. Although Floey was usually gentle with her, this rare coldness seemed kind of angry, which frightened her.
“Uh…”
Maggie, noticing Floey turning to “look” at her, felt a surge of guilt and said:
“Haha, got it, got it. Actually, I found all these paintings in Noah’s room, and there’s a lot more of them without clothes…”
Floey turned and walked away holding the painting.
Maggie breathed a sigh of relief; for some reason, Floey could put a lot of pressure on her, even more so than the Leader.
“Miss Maggie, saying that… Miss Floey will surely go and trouble Mr. Noah…”
Connie expressed concern.
Maggie slumped back on the couch, waving her hand dismissively:
“No worries, no worries… What trouble? She will definitely hide the painting away secretly, hehe.”

Late afternoon.
Mrs. Caroline came to visit.
She carried a small potted plant with clusters of variously colored flowers. At her feet followed a black and white border collie, none other than Babu.
“Mrs. Caroline, welcome.”
Upon hearing Connie’s report, Chen Lun personally came with Floey to welcome her at the door.
He doffed his hat and bowed slightly to hug Mrs. Caroline, who affectionately kissed him twice on the cheek.
Floey took the potted plant and also greeted Mrs. Caroline.
