Chapter 508: 508. To the Infirmary

The moment Theo went back to his side of the way back, he met the proud eyes of Clara and Elias.

But when he reached close to them, he saw that cold smile of Clara and already knew he had fucked up.

"Young master, what was that flying in the air? Are humans meant to fight like that?" Clara asked with that same smile, making Theo, who was already sweating, be at a loss for words.

"... I got too carried away, my apologies," Theo spoke while scratching the back of his head.

Clara wanted to say more, but Elias showed her a look as if saying, ’He just had a great moment, don’t ruin it.’

Clara only sighed and looked at Theo with a chuckle. "Congrats on the win, young master. I was just a little concerned for you, that is all."

Theo consoled her for a moment, but then they went toward the infirmary.

"I hate how they were looking at that other student but not you, young master. Look how badly you injured your shoulder," Clara spoke when they were in the infirmary.

The doctor had Theo take his armor off, which showed a fully bruised shoulder.

"I just hit that student right in the face with this bad shoulder..." Theo spoke awkwardly.

The nurse almost laughed out loud at the way he said it but controlled herself.

There was no telling what would offend a young master into going for their life.

But it was too late. First Clara burst out in laughter, then Elias couldn’t help himself, and then Theo.

The nurse saw Theo struggle to laugh while holding the shoulder one too many times, but he still could not stop laughing.

"Please let me treat your injury now," the nurse spoke with her eyes away from Theo’s body.

Clara could tell right away that it was not any kind of look but that of pity.

The nurse had never seen a soon-to-be 12-year-old with so many scars on his body.

There was a deep one right below the left chest, which made her know right away that Theo was stabbed.

Theo could tell from her gaze too what she was thinking, so he decided to lighten the mood by starting another topic.

But the topic was his studies and then the work they needed to do, which made the nurse look at Theo as if she had seen a madman.

After the ointment was applied properly, she used bandages and was done within a few minutes.

"Thank you, nurse. That was a clean treatment," Theo spoke and gave her a little bow to show his appreciation, which made her shake her hands in panic.

Theo looked out of the room he was given after wearing a shirt Clara was carrying for him, only to see the boy still unconscious on a bed in a room that was right in his eye trajectory.

Theo moved forward to look at the boy from up close only to be stopped by Clara.

"I don’t think we can go into this infirmary room, young master."

Theo kept a hand on hers and gently placed it away with a smile.

"If they think we shouldn’t be here, they would just kick us out later. Let’s go for now, I want to check something," Theo spoke and moved inside the infirmary room and then close to the boy’s bed.

Theo looked closer from different angles but frowned later on.

"What are you trying to find, young master?" Clara asked while trying to figure it out on her own.

"Nothing, I just hit him really hard but he doesn’t have any bruise on his face," Theo said as he got even closer.

He sighed and was going to move back only to see the boy’s eyes open abruptly in front of him.

When he saw Theo’s face, his expression turned horrified and he was about to scream.

But Theo was looking at his actions in somewhat slow motion, so he quickly kept his hand on the boy’s mouth to stop him.

The boy just looked at Theo with a gaze that literally said, ’Please don’t kill me.’

"I just came to look at how you were doing, I was admitted in that room," Theo spoke with his right hand still on his mouth and the other pointing at the room they could see from here. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

The boy nodded and Theo quickly got his hand off.

"How are you feeling right now?" Theo spoke with an awkward gaze.

He had not only hit the boy but also tried to silence him right now.

"I-I am okay now, your punch shouldn’t have hurt, it just knocked me out," the boy spoke with a sigh after seeing that Theo was chill.

"I didn’t mean to punch you at that moment, but there was no other option," Theo spoke with a smile.

But the boy only hesitantly frowned back at him.

"Your eyes at that moment were so scary... It was like all you wanted to do was kill me..." the boy spoke.

Both Clara and Elias had to move their faces away in order to not burst out laughing again.

A single look at each other made the scream of laughter rise to the ends of their throats, but they managed to hold it back.

"Hahahaha... Now that isn’t true. I was going to hit you a little to get a point, that is it," Theo spoke with his poker face fully on.

Now that the boy had said it, Theo came to realize it too. He had hit the boy a little too hard, and it made him go back to that moment.

All Theo wanted to do was get that point and another one in this fight, and win already.

He talked with the boy a little, but after he realized that the boy wasn’t going to be okay with his presence for a while, he moved away after bidding farewell.

Theo wanted to ask the guy how he got the dinosaur like beast but it didn’t seem like the boy wanted to talk.

Now till the next tournament fight, Theo had to only focus on his studies.
