Chapter 102: Killing everyone

The vice captain’s eyes turned cold.

"How dare you insult a superior being? You should kneel before a higher lifeform and offer your life to us. If you do, perhaps the suffering we are about to unleash upon your people will be lessened."

Victor did not even bother replying.

To him, these creatures were nothing more than insects.

"Space Barrier."

He casually raised one hand.

A transparent sphere instantly materialized around the two dragons, completely sealing them inside.

The vice captain’s expression finally changed.

"What is thi..."

Before he could finish speaking, Victor slowly closed his fist.

The barrier immediately began shrinking with irresistible force. It compressed everything trapped within it, leaving the two dragons with no chance to resist. Their bodies were crushed into a grotesque mass of blood and shattered bones before exploding apart like overripe watermelons. Dark flesh splattered against the invisible wall before slowly sliding downward.

Victor lowered his hand and glanced at the blood-soaked barrier with complete indifference.

"Pathetic."

His cold gaze then shifted toward the massive purple dungeon hanging high in the sky.

"Come out."

"Or are you planning to sacrifice all of your subordinates first, hoping they can wear me down so you can claim the glory of defeating me?"

His mocking voice echoed across the heavens, spreading throughout the battlefield.

...

Every human on Ethereum stared at the live broadcast in stunned silence. The terrifying monsters that had toyed with the world’s strongest Sages only moments ago had been erased as casually as someone stepping on ants. Nobody could believe what they had just witnessed.

"Is... isn’t that Sir Victor Walker?"

Someone finally broke the silence.

"It really looks like him..."

"But wasn’t he only Grade 2 or Grade 3 during the Beast Tide a few months ago?"

"How did he become this powerful?"

Countless people recognized him. During the catastrophic Beast Tide, Victor had already become a legendary figure among the younger generation. Yet no one had imagined that only a few months later, he would stand above even the Sages.

"He is incredible..."

"Hahaha! From today onward, Sir Victor is my idol!"

Cheers erupted across cities around the world. Fear that had dominated humanity since the purple dungeon appeared, was gradually replaced with excitement and hope.

...

Boom!

A pressure hundreds of times greater than the vice captain’s descended upon the world. The atmosphere itself trembled beneath its overwhelming weight, while countless people instinctively found it difficult to breathe.

A tall figure slowly walked out of the purple dungeon as though strolling through empty space. Two obsidian horns curved upward from his forehead, while a pair of enormous dragon wings spread majestically behind his back. Although his appearance resembled that of a dark-skinned human, every movement radiated unquestionable nobility and authority.

Behind him stood forty-seven elite warriors.

Each possessed strength comparable to the soldier that toyed with the sages.

The dragon captain looked down at Victor with calm, indifferent eyes.

"I am Ferule Harrow, captain of Elite Vanguard Team Seven. What is your name?"

"I am Victor Walker. A common inhabitant of this planet," Victor replied calmly.

Victor did not attack immediately. His instincts warned him that this opponent was completely on a different league. A normal spell would accomplish nothing, and his opponent should also possess a Domain.

Ferule nodded calmly.

"You killed my vice captain."

"I will not waste unnecessary words on an insignificant insect."

"Take your own life."

"If you do, I shall erase every human on this planet with a single attack. They will die without pain."

His expression gradually turned colder as he slowly raised one finger toward Diana.

"But if I have to kill you myself..."

"I will make certain every human experiences hell."

"Especially that woman. She should be your woman, right?"

"My soldiers will play with her body until her final breath."

"Afterward, they will violate her corpse..."

"...and feast upon her flesh."

He spoke without the slightest trace of emotion, as though he were merely announcing an unavoidable fact. Every word carried absolute confidence, as if the fate of humanity had already been decided.

Victor’s eyes narrowed.

A killing intent unlike anything before erupted from his body. The surrounding mana became violent, causing the very air to tremble beneath the pressure of his fury.

"Avatar."

Infinite mana flooded into the spell.

A humanoid figure of pure azure mana rose behind him. Its appearance mirrored Ferule’s own form, complete with wings and horns, except its entire body was forged from condensed elemental mana. The moment it appeared, the heavens shook violently as unimaginable magical power spread throughout the battlefield.

Ferule’s calm expression disappeared for the first time.

His pupils contracted violently.

"Impossible..."

"A Grade Eight spell?"

"No Grade Six lifeform should be capable of casting a Grade Eight spell."

Even Diana’s beautiful eyes brightened. Although the Avatar was still slightly weaker than herself, it possessed enough strength to challenge Ferule head-on without immediately falling into a disadvantage.

Ferule recovered almost instantly. He was the captain of an elite team after all.

"Soldiers, attack this human with me."

Instantly, the forty-seven dragons roared in unison before charging toward Victor. At the same time, a sphere of deep blue demonic flame rapidly condensed above Ferule’s palm.

Dragons possessed both terrifying physiques and overwhelming magical power. Ferule hurled the sphere toward the countless humans standing behind Victor while simultaneously flashing forward at astonishing speed.

His intention was obvious.

Kill the caster and destroy the spell.

However, the Avatar calmly raised one hand. A vast barrier instantly unfolded around every human in Aurora City, completely enveloping them in an impenetrable shield. The blue flame crashed into it and vanished without leaving even the slightest ripple.

At the same instant, Ferule appeared before Victor alongside his soldiers. This was his true intension. Keep that avatar busy and attack Victor. His fist shot forward like a falling meteor, carrying enough force to obliterate continents.

Yet the Avatar suddenly disappeared from its original position.

Space rippled as it instantly reappeared between them, intercepting the fatal punch with its own fist.

Boom!

The collision shattered the surrounding sky. A violent shockwave swept across the battlefield, sending the other dragons flying away like fallen leaves caught within a raging storm.

The battle erupted in full force.

Ferule’s physical strength was overwhelming. Every punch carried enough force to tear a satellite like the moon into pieces, while every movement distorted the surrounding air with terrifying pressure.

Yet Victor never confronted him directly.

Instead, Victor remained behind the battlefield, continuously weaving spell after spell with perfect precision. Meanwhile, the Avatar fought Ferule in close combat while simultaneously casting powerful elemental magic without interruption.

Firestorms engulfed the sky.

Lightning spears rained down endlessly.

The heavens became a chaotic sea of destruction where every collision threatened to erase everything nearby.

Every time Ferule attempted to bypass the Avatar and kill Victor, the Avatar would instantly teleport in front of him and block his path. Whenever Ferule targeted Victor with magic, Victor would immediately teleport away before retaliating with another devastating spell.

The coordination between man and Avatar was flawless.

It was as though Ferule was battling two Elemental Lords at once.

Gradually, the dragon captain became increasingly frustrated. For the first time since arriving on this primitive world, he found himself unable to overwhelm an opponent who should have been vastly weaker than himself.

"I have had enough!"

A terrifying darkness spread from his body. The surrounding mana, light, air, and even space itself began collapsing inward as though everything in existence was being dragged toward a single point.

A miniature black hole formed within his palm.

"Domain Expansion."

Everything nearby was drawn toward its center. Matter itself began disappearing, creating a terrifying Domain capable of devouring and destroying anything that entered its range.

Victor did not panic.

Instead, he smiled.

The Avatar slowly raised one hand. Above its palm, a miniature sun appeared, radiating endless heat that distorted the surrounding space.

Originally, it had only been an Epic Grade Six spell. However, cast through the Grade Eight Avatar, its power had already surpassed ordinary Grade Seven spells.

However, Victor was not done yet.

He spoke one word.

"Chaos."

Instantly, the blazing golden sun transformed into a deep violet star. Its aura exploded like an approaching apocalypse, while its temperature increased more than a hundredfold.

The spell forcefully stepped into the Grade Eight realm.

The Avatar hurled the purple sun forward.

Ferule laughed coldly even though he could feel a deep fearsome power in that purple sun.

The energy was something he never encountered.

But he said with pride,

"My Domain devours everything."

The black hole swallowed the miniature sun.

For one brief moment, absolute silence descended upon the battlefield. Even the surrounding mana seemed to stop flowing as the two ultimate forces collided.

Then...

BOOM!!

The world exploded.

The collision released enough energy to erase several empires from existence. The sky fractured under the unimaginable impact, while an endless wave of destruction rushed outward in every direction.

Before the devastating shockwave could reach humanity, Diana silently released her own Domain. Darkness spread across the sky, swallowing every trace of the destructive energy before anyone even realized what had happened.

Ferule sensed the appearance of another Domain.

But he had no time to investigate.

His eyes were filled with disbelief. He simply could not understand how this battle had reached such a point.

He possessed superior bloodline.

Superior cultivation.

Superior physique.

Superior talent.

Yet he still could not suppress this primitive Grade Six human.

Behind him, the remaining forty-seven dragon elites had already been vaporized by the aftermath of the explosion. Nothing remained of them, not even ashes.

Ferule was bleeding from his every orifices.

Suddenly, the Avatar vanished once again. It instantly appeared directly behind Ferule.

Its hand slowly reached forward.

"Time Stop."

The world froze.

Victor’s body trembled violently beneath the unimaginable burden of the spell. Countless cracks spread across his flesh as though his body itself was on the verge of collapsing.

Using Time Stop against an opponent of this level placed an unimaginable burden upon him. Fortunately, his hundredfold regeneration continuously repaired the damage as quickly as it appeared, allowing him to endure the backlash.

Pain flooded every nerve in his body.

But he endured it.

Ferule’s movements stopped.

Yet he did not become completely motionless.

Victor immediately understood the truth.

"So this is the limit..."

"Time Stop cannot fully suppress an Elemental Lord."

Even so, that tiny delay was enough.

"Finish him."

The Avatar’s fist descended with chaos energy wrapping around it like a massive knuckle. The overwhelming power distorted reality itself before crashing into Ferule.

Boom!

Ferule’s head exploded instantly. His soul was annihilated before he could even react, leaving behind nothing but a headless corpse suspended in the frozen sky.

The stopped time resumed.

His headless body slowly drifted through the air for a single second before collapsing toward the earth.
