"But a single ’Kashigyakya’ is probably not enough, the speed of a ’Kashigyakya’ might indeed be faster than Airavata, but when compared to Garuda, it just won’t do!"

Indra thought to himself.

If you ask who is the fastest man in this world!

After excluding the Three Aspects Deity, without a doubt, it’s this beautiful winged, king of birds — Garuda!

For Kashigyakya to think of outspeeding Garuda is basically impossible.

"How can he win?"

Indra crossed his arms over his chest, clicking his tongue in disbelief.

Now, all he hoped was that Jiye would not do anything rash.

After all, this guy was supposed to succeed the position of the Heavenly Emperor. If he learned to flee the battle when Asuras attacked and abandoned the Heavenly Realm, that would not be good at all.

Indra watched intently.

Two beams of light had already shot out.

One was as bright as dawn on the horizon, shining in golden splendor, dazzlingly beautiful; the other, deep blue as the ocean, mixed with colorful beautiful feathers, like a splendid bed of flowers.

Both dashed forward side by side, swiftly surpassing the dark horizon.

Shesha, with the firmament upon his head, shook his head, looking down at the two streaks of light that had flown past, tired and drowsy.

"So flashy!"

Shesha yawned mightily, murmuring to himself.

Countless heads yawning, the strong wind they exhaled stirred up, raising massive waves over the Ocean of Milk.

Kashigyakya rode the wind and waves, soaring with spread wings.

But, undoubtedly, Garuda was faster, swifter, more agile.

He turned his head to look back, a glint sparkled in his golden eagle eyes, and then with a single flap of his wings, he raised boundless spray over the sea surface, instantly overtaking Kashigyakya.

Whoosh!

In an instant, Jiye looked up only to see the golden tail feathers of Garuda.

"Let’s chase!"

He quickly tightened his grip on Kashigyakya’s neck.

The peacock spread its wings and flew, its colorful feathers stirring up a big wind in the chase.

The five-colored light surged forward at high speed, heading towards Garuda ahead, but the gap between them only grew wider, impossible to close.

Swish!

Jiye pulled at the peacock’s feather and abruptly stopped.

He sat astride the peacock, raising his hand, with a gentle pinch of his fingers, a stunning golden long feather landed on his fingertip.

This golden feather was beautiful beyond compare.

It was obviously one of Garuda’s feathers!

"Too fast!"

"Kashigyakya, you are his very grandson, how could he not wait for you at all!"

"But it’s alright, I still have a way, ’Red Crown’ is right ahead!"

"It should be about time now!"

"Let’s keep chasing!"

Jiye’s mouth curled into a smirk, he murmured to himself and then rode the peacock ’Kashigyakya’ to continue the pursuit.

Swish!

Garuda turned into a beam of golden light, speeding over the Ocean of Milk.

He flew with wings spread, turning his head to glance behind, his eagle eyes reflecting the awkward figure of Jiye chasing after him.

"Don’t even dream of beating me!"

Garuda said proudly.

At that moment, his feathers emitted rays of golden light, like the great sun moving across the sky, incredibly dazzling and eye-catching.

Speed was one of the things he was most proud of, how could he possibly let his own grandson catch up easily!

Cluck cluck cluck!

All of a sudden, a series of urgent clucking sounds erupted, relentless, in front of Garuda.

Garuda turned his head to look.

His pupils contracted, and he saw what appeared to be a red sun emerging in front of him, a dazzling red-crowned rooster standing there, causing him to have a moment of illusion, as if he were seeing his older brother, Aruna.

"Big brother?"

"No, that’s not right!"

Garuda muttered to himself.

He shook his head, came back to his senses, and fixed his gaze once more.

By then, he recognized it.

"Red-crown!"

Garuda said, slightly startled.

The rooster before his eyes was indeed the offspring of his big brother Aruna—Red-crown.

Garuda’s speed came to an abrupt halt.

"Cluck cluck cluck~ Great Uncle!"

[Red-crown] flapped his wings, gliding toward Garuda, speaking as he flew.

At this, Garuda turned his head, his eagle eyes filled with a tinge of confusion.

"What is it?"

With a flutter of his body, Garuda instantly transformed from his golden-winged bird form into a tall figure with wings on his back, landing in front of Red-crown.

"Cluck!"

"Cluck cluck cluck!"

[Red-crown] clucked away, his head with the large red crown bobbing in and out, his body swaying as he stepped briskly up to Garuda.

"Why have you come?"

Garuda asked.

The next moment, [Red-crown] spoke up, "Great Uncle, take me flying with you. My grandfather’s legs are disabled, and my own legs are not good. I too want to experience your kind of speed."

Alas!

Garuda sighed.

He immediately thought of his poor older brother.

His big brother had been hatched prematurely by their mother, leading to his birth without legs, and even the descendants of his brother had poor legs.

Wanting to fly, yet not being able to fly fast!

Alas!

In that moment, his thoughts were complicated, riddled with pity as he looked at ’Red-crown.’

"Of course, there’s no problem."

"Red-crown, come up onto my back. My back can carry the Supreme Lord Narayana, so you can sit up here too!"

Garuda said.

He shimmered all over, and amidst the flashes of golden light, he transformed once again into a giant golden-winged bird.

Upon hearing this, [Red-crown] spread his wings and leapt, floundering onto Garuda’s back.

"Hold on tight!"

"I’m about to take off!"

Garuda once more spread his wings, the wild wind howling as it surged between his feathers.

He looked back.

Kashigyakya was incredibly close, merely countless yojanas away, a distance that didn’t require long to cross.

But...

They wouldn’t catch up!

Garuda, filled with confidence, flapped his wings and flew, continuing to head forward.
