Chapter 360: Chapter 326: I’ll Give You a Mount, Borrowing the Tiger’s Fierceness! (Vote for Monthly Tickets!)

"Success?"

Toraga’s eyes turned sharp as he gazed at the figure that had suddenly appeared, his hands clenched so tightly that his nails almost pierced into his palms with excitement.

Maya Asura remained composed.

His eyes slightly narrowed, and the divine patterns around the eye sockets seemed ever-changing, revealing a hint of craftiness with his gaze.

"Of course!"

"Follow me!"

Maya Asura nodded and slowly turned around.

His form turned into light, dispersing into countless particles that shot out.

Toraga’s eyes brightened, and with a leap, he transformed into a brilliance that vanished within the Heavenly Realm.

Whoosh!

Two streams of light traveled across the Heavenly Realm, following the contours of space, and finally descended on Earth, entering a vast cave like glowing fireflies.

Inside the cave.

The lava boiled over, sending up stifling hot steam as the fiery magma bubbled, the smoke rising directly upwards, enveloping the irregular stalactites above the cave.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

Embryos hung from these stalactites, dense and numerous, shadowy like the silhouettes of fly larvae, cultivating within them and faintly emitting a ghostly blue light, resonating with the continuous sound of beating hearts.

Swish!

Toraga glanced towards the depths of the cave.

Countless embryos hung above, contracting and expanding like hearts, shining and dimming, innumerable beyond count.

"Look!"

"These breeding monsters, they will become your aid!"

Maya Asura spread his arms wide, holding a long staff, and proclaimed loudly.

Success!

Toraga’s face lit up with excitement, his eyes slightly squinting, shooting out dazzling light.

"Finally completed!"

"My army, hahaha!"

"Now, as long as Kashigyakya dares to leave the Ocean of Milk, I will be able to send out my army to tear him apart."

Toraga clenched his fists, and gusts of violent wind surged around him, roaring in all directions, causing the hanging embryos to sway unceasingly.

In the midst of this swaying,

A monster burst through its embryo with a loud bang, revealing a maw akin to that of a bat, throwing back its head and letting out a sharp scream.

Roar! Roar! Roar!

...

Time flies swiftly.

The Ocean of Milk, Vighna.

Upon a lawn that was as lush and green as the sea, two figures were wielding weapons, darting and dodging, attacking each other.

One figure was draped in a white Ritual Robe, appearing quite mature; the other was clad in golden armor, looking valiant and extraordinary.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

The sound of metal striking metal rang out incessantly.

"You’re still a child!"

Zhong You Immortal swung a huge Curved Saber at Kashigyakya.

Bang!

Kashigyakya, holding a small shield, blocked the saber and then peeked out from behind it.

"I’m already grown-up!"

Kashigyakya pushed forcefully, exerting his strength.

With a muffled bang, his shield, like a giant mallet, crashed heavily onto Zhong You Immortal’s chest. Even though the Immortal blocked with his saber, he still staggered backward uncontrollably.

Kashigyakya’s eyes sharpened.

In his right hand, a cold light suddenly appeared, cutting through the air, as the sword thrust directly towards Zhong You Immortal’s throat.

"I’ve won!"

"I’ve told you before, I’m no longer the infant of just a few days old!"

Kashigyakya’s eyes twinkled with joy.

He had been born for quite a few days now, and was about to reach a hundred days; these martial skills, he could basically learn at once, and they scarcely posed a challenge to him.

Sigh!

Zhong You Immortal sighed, filled with emotion.

Kashigyakya, truly the Son of Mahadeva, had grown in such a short time to be almost equal to him in martial prowess.

Truly formidable!

"But you haven’t completed the... trial of the Heavenly Emperor yet!"

Zhong You Immortal said.

Kashigyakya had promised to outpace the mounts of the Devas before he could leave.

"Only the last one, Garuda, remains!"

Upon hearing this, Kashigyakya stood tall and proud.

After these days of battle, he had deeply learned a principle from Indra.

If power is inadequate, complement it with wisdom!

He got along very well with those animal friends, and he had also fully grasped their weaknesses. For instance, the Sun God Horse actually dislikes moving when not being ridden, and Airavata wants to sleep after eating its fill.

Having mastered these weaknesses, he had then defeated them one by one.

Victorious at last!

Now, only Garuda remained.

Kashigyakya looked up.

In the distance, the edge of the heavens shone brilliantly with gold, as a pair of wings that blotted out the sky swooped down, arriving in an instant before Kashigyakya.

Garuda had descended!

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Indra and the other Devas also transformed into radiance and descended here following beams of light.

"Are you going to challenge Garuda again?"

Indra stepped forward and asked with curiosity.

"Yes, Teacher!"

"I am ready!"

Kashigyakya’s eyes showed determination, and he smiled, lifting his longsword and striking it firmly against his small shield, proclaiming loudly.

Indra watched the tall Kashigyakya and nodded slightly.

These days, under his guidance, Kashigyakya had grown very quickly and had become an experienced warrior.

But no matter how experienced, if you can’t catch up, you just can’t catch up!

However, Kashigyakya ought to know to employ strategy!

"Good!"

"Then I’ll watch your performance!"

Indra said with a laugh.

This youngster surely wouldn’t foolishly go straight up and try to outrun Garuda in speed.

Whoosh!

Kashigyakya slowly turned his head, his fighting spirit high as he looked at Garuda.

Garuda’s golden eyes twinkled, and he couldn’t help but smile.

The Son of Mahadeva?

Even the Son of Mahadeva couldn’t catch up to him!

"Let’s begin then!"

Garuda declared.

"Wait!"

Kashigyakya raised his hand.

Without explaining, he slowly turned his head, looking towards the distance.

"Waiting for what?"

Garuda, puzzled, turned his head to look.

In a flash, as he faced the radiance of Vighna, he saw a figure as resplendent and colorful as a fan.

A beautiful peacock entered his sight!

"Huawei!"

Garuda frowned and muttered to himself.

This peacock, named Huawei, was indeed his own descendant!

"That’s right!"

"Huawei is now my mount!"

Kashigyakya declared loudly.

Huawei spread its wings and walked forward, swiftly landing before Kashigyakya and bowed slightly. Then it turned its gaze towards Garuda at the side.

"Grandfather!"

Huawei opened its beak and spoke.

"..."

Garuda stood with his hands on his hips, his expression complex, at a loss for words.

He had been thinking about finding a suitable Supreme Lord for ’Huawei,’ but Huawei had found one on its own. And now, it even came to confront him.

"Heh~"

"The Teacher once said, the fox once borrowed the tiger’s power to dominate the forest, and the wise should think rationally about their strengths when they are weaker, borrowing other forces to avoid failure!"

Kashigyakya stepped forward and mounted the peacock ’Huawei.’

He clearly remembered his teacher’s story!

To catch up with Garuda, he had already made many preparations in advance.

This was just one of them!

Whoosh!

At these words, a hint of grievance and resentment appeared in Garuda’s golden eyes as he glanced at Indra.

A tiger? A fox?

Is it an act of borrowing the tiger’s might?

Was he merely telling a story, and is this how Kashigyakya understood it?

Indra blinked, taken aback slightly.

This disciple seems to have learned the lesson a bit crookedly!
