The beautiful girl reached out and placed her hand on Shen Yuan’s forehead.

Her hand, cold from holding ice cream, made Shen Yuan shiver when it touched his head.

The smile didn’t leave Shen Yuan’s face as he looked at Li Zhi. He explained, "Oh, you mean that? I was just saying my grades used to be bad, but things are different now."

Li Zhi rolled her eyes, not buying his explanation at all. She scoffed, "What’s so different now? So what if you can score a 620 or 630? In my eyes, you’re still an utter moron."

"Hey!"

Shen Yuan’s voice jumped an octave, his face a picture of indignation.

"I’ll surpass you sooner or later!"

Hearing this, Li Zhi looked as if she had just heard the funniest joke in the world. The corners of her mouth lifted into a disdainful smile.

"Fine," Li Zhi said provocatively. "If you can beat my total score, I’ll agree to do any one thing you ask."

The moment the words left her mouth, she saw Shen Yuan’s eyes light up.

Remembering Shen Yuan’s eccentric way of thinking, Li Zhi quickly added.

"Hey, hey, hey! Let me be clear. It can’t go against public morals, and it can’t break any laws."

Shen Yuan nodded brightly. "You said it yourself. When the time comes, I’ll take you to get our marriage license. Getting a marriage license doesn’t go against public morals or break any laws, right?"

Li Zhi stared at the boy before her in vexation and blurted out, "How can you treat something like this like it’s a joke!"

Shen Yuan looked straight into Li Zhi’s eyes and said with complete seriousness, "How is it a joke? Young Master Li, I’m dead serious."
