Chapter 170: Chapter 170: Sudden Death
Blaze was walking to the dojo when suddenly, a gigantic sphere of darkness appeared in the sky of the undercity.
He looked up to see a long elongated dragon with the body that covered the entirety of the area.
The ceiling of the undercity disappeared, leaving only the void of endless darkness.
Blaze equipped all of his items and used everything he could to struggle, to find a way to survive.
But it was all pointless. The sphere of darkness engulfed the entire undercity in a blink. With it were the lives of every being in this enclosed space. Including Blaze.
He had died.

Blaze opened his eyes once more.
He wasn’t dead. But he was no longer him a moment ago.
Blaze had returned to his small house where he, Kana and Phuc once were.

"What?" Blaze widened his eyes. He had gone back in time, to the day everything changed.
Water was still running on the sink and Blaze was cleaning the dishes obediently as Phuc’s little slave.
In front of him was a transparent window of the system that he was so familiar with.
It was the first time he came into contact with the System.
Suddenly, a white ceramic cup flew over from the living room. Originally, it was supposed to hit him in the head.
Blaze grabbed the cup without even looking back.
Phuc froze for a second because of Blaze’s immaculate reaction. Still, he continued to say what he had said in the past.
"What are you doing standing like an idiot? Do the goddamn dishes, you fucking idiot!" Phuc yelled from the living room.
Phuc... Kana’s ex-husband. The F-rank awakened that she married to keep the both of them safe. His fat belly protruded forward. His bald ugly head was exactly like Blaze remembered.
"Unbelievable... Somehow I have gone back in time." Blaze mumbled.
Phuc yelled again. "Didn’t you hear what I say?! Do the goddamn dishes! Are you fucking deaf?!"
Blaze glanced at the living room. He flicked his right hand. The Destruction Wand appeared in his hand.
It lost its upgraded appearance of the Blue Bolt and returned to what it once was. However, this was still more than enough to kill this bastard.
Blaze flicked the want. The Destruction Beam shot out in a zig-zag and pierced through the head of Phuc. He fell down lifelessly on the carpet of the floor.

Blaze opened the Surprise Gift. Immediately, a new window appeared.

Immediately, the bark-like Destruction Wand in Blaze’s hand turned back to Blue Bolt, the shiny blue magical wand that it once was.
Additionally, all of his power and previous unlocks had also returned.
"A second chance? Since I’m lucky enough to have this chance. I won’t be wasting it."
Blaze approached the dead Phuc and took out a matchstick. He burned the corpse with the matchstick. Everything disappeared within seconds, not even ashes remained. Even the blood on the floor disappeared.
It was at this time that Kana returned from her work.
"Hi, kiddo! Where is your father?" Kana said.
Blaze smiled. Kana didn’t need to know anything in this life. "He left."
"Did he say where he is going?" Kana’s brow furrowed.
Blaze shook his head. "I don’t know. He just walked out of the door and disappeared."
"I hope he doesn’t leave us forever. As much as I hate him, we need him to survive." Kana said.
"It won’t be necessary, Mother. Look at this." Blaze pointed his hand at the window and released a small shockwave.
"Is that..." Kana’s jaw dropped.
"That’s right, Mother. I have super power now. We don’t need to rely on this pig anymore." Blaze said.
Kana smiled wholehearted. She rushed at Blaze and hugged him.
"Oh my god! It finally happens. You can finally live freely, Blaze! I am so happy for you!"
The mother tried to lift her son up but he was much taller and bulkier than she remembered. She knew for sure that Blaze was still shorter than her when she left the house.
"Blaze... This is... Did you grow taller? And you are bigger too?" Kana said.
"That’s right, Mother. When you receive superpower, you will go through what it’s called metamorphosis. Because my power is pretty strong, it has affected my body structure and status." Blaze said.
"It is a good thing, right? You won’t become a mindless monster or something like that?" Kana worriedly said.
"Of course not, Mother! You have nothing to worry about. Every Awakened with a Super Power has to go through the same thing.
I won’t turn into an eight-legged monster or some kind of horror."
"Phew!" Kana tapped her chest. "That is good to know. Well, we should go get your registration as soon as possible. Before that man comes back and messes with us."
"Don’t worry, Mother. I have a feeling he won’t come back." Blaze said.
"Why are you so sure?" Kana said.
"Let’s say it’s just a hunch." Blaze said. "Should we go to the market and buy someone to eat? We should celebrate after what happened."
"I don’t know, Blaze. We might get into trouble if Phuc comes back and sees us." Kana rubbed her forearms. She was clearly still worrying about the dead man.
"I told you, Mother. He won’t come back. Not tonight. Tomorrow, or any other day." Blaze said.
Kana squinted her eyes and looked at Blaze. "Why are you so sure? Did you do something to him?"
Blaze shrugged. He had no intention of telling her.
