Chapter 336: Chapter 336: You Drove Her Away?

Adrian Quincy turned and headed up to the second floor. He planned to personally return the phone to Claire after it was fixed. In the meantime, he decided to take a shower.

-

The cyber security department was located in the basement of Quincy Manor. It only took the technicians ten minutes to fix the phone, and they even replaced the screen with a brand-new, shatter-resistant one.

Before leaving, Aiden Howkins personally inspected the phone.

When he saw the most recent video on the phone, the color drained from his face...

’It’s over. Young Master Quincy is definitely going to fly into a rage this time!’

Aiden Howkins sighed, picked up the phone, and hurried back to report.

Just as Adrian Quincy was coming down from the second floor, Aiden Howkins presented the phone with both hands. "Young Master Quincy, the phone is fixed. There’s a video on it that I think you might be interested in..."

He spoke the last sentence with extreme caution, not daring to breathe a word after he finished.

Adrian Quincy took the phone and pulled up the video Aiden Howkins had mentioned.

In the video, the girl stood beneath a sculpture of an eagle. She had a shy expression, but her eyes were full of determination. "Today is November 3rd, 20XX. I hope that on November 3rd of next year, I can be standing by his side, admired by the world..."

Suddenly, another voice cut in as the screen went dark. "What are you doing? Filming is prohibited on the estate grounds!" 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

"I’m sorry, I didn’t know I couldn’t film here."

"Hand over the phone."

"Can I just delete the video?"

"Hand over the phone!"

"Sir, you don’t have to be such a bully."

"Cut the crap. According to the rules, your phone is being confiscated..."

Even though he couldn’t see the rest of the video, Adrian Quincy could imagine it all. She had been on his territory, getting bullied by a pack of thugs.

His Claire had been wronged right under his nose again, and he had been completely oblivious.

Adrian Quincy’s grip on the phone tightened. He whipped his head around to look at the trembling Aiden Howkins and the silent Nancy Lockwood.

"Why didn’t anyone stop them?"

Aiden Howkins immediately confessed his fault. "Young Master Quincy, this was my oversight. I wasn’t informed right away that the Young Madam had arrived, otherwise I would have personally escorted her in. Please, Young Master Quincy, punish me!"

Nancy Lockwood spoke up next. "This isn’t Aiden’s fault. When I went out to meet Claire Sinclair, she didn’t tell me her phone had been confiscated by people from the Presidential Palace. If I had known, I wouldn’t have scolded her and sent her away."

"What did you just say?" A barely perceptible layer of fury veiled Adrian Quincy’s eyes, and the chilling aura around him grew more intense.

Nancy Lockwood forced herself to continue, "Claire Sinclair said she had something very important to tell you in person. I thought she was here to ask for a divorce again, so I sent her away..."

The words had barely left her mouth when Adrian Quincy’s voice erupted with uncontrollable fury. "You sent her away?"

"Young Master Quincy, I am willing to accept any punishment!" Nancy Lockwood said, lowering her head with an expression of one facing their doom.

Adrian Quincy’s brow furrowed. "Insubordination," he said sharply. "Quincy Manor has no place for someone like you. Get out."

"Young Master Quincy..." Nancy Lockwood’s heart lurched. She never expected him to fire her on the spot.

Aiden Howkins couldn’t stop himself from pleading for her. "Young Master Quincy, Nancy was only thinking of you. She didn’t do it on purpose—"

Adrian Quincy’s cold gaze sliced toward him. "Do you want to leave, too?"

Aiden Howkins didn’t dare say another word.

Nancy Lockwood bit her lip and said in a low voice, "Yes. I’ll leave at once."

Without another word, Adrian Quincy walked past the two of them.

’Claire has been wronged. I can’t just pretend nothing happened.’

Aiden Howkins hurried to catch up. "Young Master Quincy, where are you going?"

"To find Claire."

"But, Young Master Quincy, His Excellency the President reminded you today that you’ve been targeted by a terrorist organization. It’s so late... why don’t I go and ask the Young Madam to come here instead?"
