Chapter 26: Let’s Sweep EVERYTHING
As all eyes turned to Nie Li, the youthful-looking man turned to Amber, who was standing beside him, and said, "Please put the first item."
At his words, Amber conjured a table and a box out of thin air; she placed the box on the table and opened it.
One could hear the ghosts nearby gasping in unison.
"This is pure black gold. A high-quality ore rarely found on the outer fringes of the Nether-Realm. What you see here is an ingot of black gold, weighing nearly fifteen kilograms. The auction will start at 100,000 Nether and Aether Coins."
The moment Nie Li finished speaking, one of the ghosts raised his hand and shouted, "100,000!"
Nie Li smiled and looked around to see if anyone else would bid.
"150,000!" shouted another.
"200,000!" screamed yet another.
The bids came thick and fast.
Dean, meanwhile, was smiling.
At that moment, he recalled the quest the system had assigned him so long ago.

He had to spend exactly 500,000 Nether and Aether Coins in front of fifty people.
He hadn’t been able to do this in Aether because there weren’t that many people in the shop where he’d made the purchase.
Never mind that.
What mattered now was that Dean was in a place where he could complete his tasks.
As could be seen from the accelerating pace of the auction, there were already many wealthy people in this booth.
Dean’s sense of money and his knowledge seemed to have changed in an instant.
"400,000! I’m selling... I’m selling..."
Just as Nie Li was about to sell the ingot, another hand shot up.
Nie Li immediately turned his head towards the person who had raised their hand.
"A human?" the ghost wondered.
"500,000," Dean said abruptly.
At those words, everyone who had been bidding just moments before fell silent.
Apparently, black gold wasn’t worth that much.
Mind you, Dean couldn’t care less.
He aimed to complete every task involving spending money as quickly as possible, and he was about to finish the first one right then and there.
"500,000. Going once... going twice... SOLD!"
The moment Nie Li finalised the sale, Dean pulled a banknote from the system bearing the figure 500,000 and held it out towards Nie Li.
Nie Li, in turn, had accepted it along with the yin and yang energy.
Nie Li was shocked by the quality of the Life and Death energy emanating from this banknote.
"This money is far better than the ones the Southern Government makes..." Nie Li thought to himself.
"Ne--Next item," said Nie Li, with a touch of excitement.
Dean, however, was preoccupied with something entirely different.

The young man had honestly thought that this time he would actually receive his reward; he’d thought he’d possess a powerful summon, someone far, far stronger than Percival.
He’d been wrong.

When the young man looked carefully through his inventory, he found nothing called ’Rampage Soul’; instead, something else he knew to be new had caught his eye.

It is known as ’Mana Silk’, a substance nearly as hard as a diamond, created when members of the Rainbow Dragon race, who rarely release their magic outwardly, reforge their spells using their own energy.
It is extremely rare, yet its quality doesn’t even come close to the finest the Dragons are capable of producing.

Dean frowned as he looked at the item.
The system must be taking the mickey out of him.
This wasn’t the sort of gift he’d expected, and Dean, to be honest, didn’t really care.
Still, he’d only been given a measly, five-metre-long piece of silk.
It was ridiculous.

Dean suddenly saw a new Grade appear before him.
He was aware that the system wouldn’t grant him the item, but his heart was filled with great curiosity.

When Dean’s attention snapped back to reality, he realised what had happened.
Perhaps because he’d been lost in thought, he’d forgotten that the auction was still ongoing.
Without even looking at what the item being sold was, the young man raised his hand and said, "1,500,000."
At his words, not only Nie Li but everyone else swallowed hard.
The hands that had been scrambling to secure the item just moments before came to an immediate halt.
The people most surprised by this turn of events were none other than those standing in the booth.
Everyone had come across information about someone on the forum.
They had all read that an anonymous individual, a young man from one of the wealthy Dungeon Master families, had taken over the entire dungeon and turned every single ghost into his slave.
None of them had thought this could actually be true.
But this must be the person they were talking about, mustn’t it?
He had entered an impenetrable area with four powerful ghosts and was the only one to emerge alive.
Now, he had become someone who spent millions without a second thought.
To put it plainly, there were a total of 12 people here from various nations, and when Dean was excluded from the discussion, the other 11 took pride in the fact that humanity possessed such a person.
They were quite rare individuals.
Rather than harbouring grudges or acting out of jealousy, they had seen someone capable of keeping them alive and had begun to watch how he captivated everyone.
