Chapter 797: Chapter 753: Grandmaster Generation_2

"No need to stall for time, I’ve caused such a commotion, and it’s only you who showed up. No Superman, no The Flash. Don’t think I haven’t investigated; now the world has only one superhero—you. Are you happy being the superior one?"

Su Ming said calmly, his tone full of disdain.

"You’re talking nonsense, I am not like that!"

As she spoke, Barbara lunged at him again, this time using her fists. From her moves, one could see some shadows of Batman, likely a Martial Arts technique focused on attacking joints.

Batman likes hardcore martial arts, like crushing others’ knees, breaking elbows, causing paraplegia. He knows a fair amount of martial arts, but never uses deadly martial arts—leaving people disabled is necessary for survival, it seems.

As the little fist in a yellow glove swung towards his shoulder, Su Ming sharply ducked down, his left hand clenched in his right, using his left elbow as a weapon to jab Barbara in the stomach. Taking advantage of her momentary rigidity, he rose swiftly, his left shoulder ramming into her chest.

Barbara flew backward, falling to the ground.

Su Ming just posed in an Aikido stance, not that he said he would use Aikido...

With her martial arts skills, she could only fight Deathstroke from Earth 0. Su Ming had lived in Marvel for decades, and many martial arts techniques from that Earth were unseen in DC’s.

He never relaxed in training himself; integrating the martial arts techniques of two worlds was something he had always been doing.

"Cough, cough, cough..."

Barbara was limp on the ground, with flames not far behind her, she coughed uncontrollably.

Deathstroke’s attack instantly expelled the air from her lungs. Now everything before her eyes was black, countless golden stars flew around, and with the growing smoke in the fire, she couldn’t get up for a while.

"When a super villain appears in the city, your first reaction is to act on your own, joining the fight as a superhero." Su Ming walked over slowly, drawing a handgun from his waist and pointing it at Barbara, the light and shadows from flames flickering across his face: "Little did you know, you created a world without superhumans, and you were the first to break it when something happened."

"Huff, huff..."

"Since you must use superheroes, your change is meaningless, too naive." Su Ming calmly said as he flipped the safety off, the crackling of burning furniture unending, but in Barbara’s ears this phrase was very clear.

Barbara looked up at Su Ming with hatred: "Without superheroes or super villains, isn’t that a good life? Why break it? Why force me out?"

Su Ming pinched his brow as if in a headache: "Batman protected you too well, he must not have told you about the Origin Wall’s rupture?"

"What does that mean?" Barbara furrowed her brows in confusion. Of course, she knew about the Origin Wall, but what did a breach mean?

"Stand up, head to the communication room at the end of the basement, people are coming soon." Su Ming gestured with his handgun, indicating to talk on the way.

Barbara was already accustomed, she was often forced to walk at gunpoint by villains, even Talia had done such a thing.

She gritted her teeth and stood up painfully, supporting herself on a desk, slowly heading toward the basement.

The opponent was prepared, the two brief engagements earlier completely dispelled any thought of grabbing the gun or escaping, and she realized that although Deathstroke was swift, he didn’t intend to kill her.

So she seemed very compliant, and as the fire intensified, the ceiling’s automatic sprinkler system activated, a large amount of water sprayed from the nozzles, everything was enveloped in a water curtain.

The water conflicted with the fire source, the smoke thickened a lot, but she knew this was part of Deathstroke’s plan, the smoke would cover their disappearance from everyone’s view, including only a whiteout on surveillance records.

This wasn’t used for her escape, at the same time, she wanted to hear about the Origin Wall before making plans.

Seeing her gradually cooperating, Su Ming walked behind her with a smile: "That’s right, good kids listen, let me tell you some stories Batman’s radio won’t broadcast."

On their continuous way forward, Su Ming used a simple analogy of a broken egg to describe the current state of the multiverse and directly said Earth had at most six months left.

The changes Barbara made were as though covering her eyes with a black cloth, thinking there was no danger outside the door. But the opposite was true, when the threat came, a blindfolded person couldn’t even defend.

As Su Ming spoke of many secrets, including events in the Magic Realm, Barbara’s back increasingly hunched.

She was never a villain, just wanted to protect civilians, but in fact, she almost made a big mistake, now her heart was filled with regret.

"Boohoo..." She took off her mask, covering her eyes and crying: "I just wanted to live well with my dad, I didn’t want to be the only hero, I didn’t mean to..."

"Cry for what? If you keep crying, I’ll break your spine and take naked photos of you."

Su Ming had no intention of coddling her, bluntly threatening.

In the current situation, communication efficiency was paramount, a sobbing woman wasn’t so easily soothed. It was better to directly scare her into obedience.

That threat was Barbara’s nightmare deep inside, her greatest weakness. Although Joker caused this weakness, Su Ming had no qualms about using it, as Joker had always been generous.

"Hic..." Barbara, her face tear-streaked, bit her lower lip and looked at Su Ming as if he were a monster, her shoulders twitching as she forced herself to endure.

Is that something a human would say?

Not comforting at all, instead ripping open her wounds, pouring salt inside, then putting them over fire, as if he were drooling at the side, waiting to feast.

You can’t let him have his way, the more delighted you are, the happier this monster becomes.

Barbara suppressed her grief with willpower, regaining a stoic expression: "My father sacrificed himself in the last flood that submerged Earth, I just wanted to bring him back, but now I realize I was wrong. For Earth, I will revert the world back to its original state."

Su Ming nodded: "Very well, having this realization means you can still be considered a hero. What happened here, in fact, shouldn’t be known to anyone after the world is restored, don’t have any mental burden."

"I made such childish mistakes, I will apologize to everyone." Barbara forcibly wiped her face, re-donning her mask: "Inadequate intelligence and losing reason and calmness led me to misjudge."

Su Ming holstered his handgun, with Barbara cooperating, he could save several steps of preparation later: "Hmm, I won’t tell anyone... but, who told you Director Gordon was sacrificed?"

"He was driving a rescue boat on Gotham streets, saving people, but was attacked by Fish-Men. After sending a batch of civilians onto a plane, I went back and only found his gun, he was gone..."

Barbara spoke slowly, her tone still somewhat steady but pressed with pain.

"Oh, that? I was there at the time, I sent him to a safe house in Wayne Manor. Once you revert the world, contact Alfred and you can see him."

"???"

Su Ming pushed open the communication room door, gesturing for Barbara to enter, a stylish sweep of his hair at the temple, he said.

"You’re welcome."
