Chapter 37: When Are You Two Getting Married?
After being silent for quite a while inside Miria’s car, they finally arrived at Miria’s house. Even at first glance, anyone could tell that this house belonged to a chaebol.
It was a house with a very spacious front yard featuring a fountain in the middle. The garden was trimmed very neatly, clearly cared for with love every day by Miria’s maid.
Liam got out of the car slowly. Miria was in front of him. She pressed the doorbell and the two large doors with horse carvings opened simultaneously, revealing an interior that screamed wealth.
Miria held his wrist and pulled him inside after she had taken off her shoes and socks.
No matter how many times he came here, Liam still could not get used to how Miria’s house kept getting better. Every year, the house was renovated by her mother.
The rhythm of their footsteps sounded in harmony. The sound of a pot hissing could be heard from afar.
The closer they got to the kitchen, the clearer they could hear a woman’s voice that sounded slightly panicked.
"Umumumumu... even though I followed the recipe, why did the food turn out like this..."
Liam could see a woman with shoulder-length hair in the same dark blue color as Miria’s. At first glance, Miria’s mother in front of him looked very similar to Miria.
It was as if she was a picture of what Miria would look like when she grew up.
The only difference was her mother’s body proportions which were more...
As you can imagine from a milf, you definitely know the picture.
Anyway, her mother seemed to be... struggling?
"Madam, let us help. Madam doesn’t need to tire herself by cooking." A maid said, trying to take the spatula from Miria’s mother’s hand.
"N-No! You think I can’t cook? How can someone be called a ’mother’ if she cannot cook? Where would I put my face later if my sweet baby girl sees me in this condition?"
"Mom." Miria, who was standing beside Liam, immediately took a step forward and called her mother.
Her mother immediately fell silent. Her face froze as she faced Miria.
"Miria? Since when did you arrive?"
Miria did not answer her mother’s words. She immediately took the spatula from her mother’s hand.
"N-No, let Mom handle it, dear."
Miria looked at the culinary disaster in front of her. A completely destroyed egg, topped with red sauce that was supposed to form a smile...? But it looked gloomy instead.
And what was that shiny white thing on top? Was that sugar?!
"Mom..." Miria looked at her mother with a smile that seemed to emit black smoke. It might have come from the food, or perhaps from Miria’s own aura.
"Please take Liam to the dining table and give him some snacks first." Miria said while maintaining her smile.
Her mother fell silent and replied, "You take Liam to the dining table. Let Mom cook." Her mother smiled warmly and tried to take the spatula back from Miria’s hand.
"Didn’t you two just get home from school? You should rest first. Play or... be lovey-dovey?"
"Mom." Miria warned again.
"Alright, alright." Miria’s mother held Liam’s shoulder with a sweaty smile on her face. "Come on, my son-in-law. Let’s chat and eat snacks at the dining table!"
Miria’s face immediately relaxed again. She then said one last time,
"Don’t ever cook again, Mom."
Miria’s mother could only show a sheepish smile upon hearing that. Though deep down, she felt a little hurt for disappointing her daughter.
She then looked at the maids and with just her eyes signaled them to help Miria prepare the food.
Meanwhile, Liam, whose shoulder was being held by Miria’s mother, could only stay silent and speechless. What had just happened had not fully registered yet. He did not expect Miria’s mother to be so bad at cooking.
Well... in the past Miria’s mother was indeed not good at cooking. But who would have thought her skills had gotten even worse.
Well... it was probably the result of focusing too much on her work. However, all the wealth she gained from focusing on business, she gave to make Miria’s life easier and more peaceful.
That was why Miria’s mother made time every year to stay at home and spent all her money on this house and Miria.
Liam, who knew about that, could only smile at the harmony of Miria’s family.

"How is school, Liam?" Miria’s mother asked. Her chin rested on her palm as she looked at Liam warmly like a mother.
Liam sat stiffly there, faced with all the snacks in front of him. He also saw caviar that he had eaten before.
"It’s... fine, I guess. Miria helps me a lot at school, so I am quite lucky to have her by my side."
Of course, Liam would not say that her daughter had hypnotized him multiple times and done indecent acts that had crossed the line.
Seeing Miria’s mother’s warm face made him feel guilty for not stopping Miria from doing those lewd things to him.
What if she knew...?
Liam decided not to think about it.
"Is that so... yes, my sweet little girl has always been very reliable since she was little. That child even took care of her mother when I was struggling. I am also very lucky, Liam."
Her voice was very soft. She glanced from the dining table toward the kitchen, looking at her daughter who was cooking with a gentle face.
"I also want to thank you, Liam. Miria is no longer lonely in this house because of you. This incompetent mother drowned herself in work, so I am very grateful that you are by Miria’s side."
Liam was slightly touched. He showed an embarrassed and polite smile.
"It’s nothing. It seems we complement each other." Liam said without thinking.
Miria’s mother’s smile widened. She glanced at Liam and then at Miria. She then repeated Liam’s words.
"Complement each other, huh... yes, it can be said that way too."
After a while, Miria came with plates full of food. Behind her, the maids also brought other plates.
A lot of food was prepared in front of Liam. Juicy steak, Pelmeni, dessert, pork soup.
Liam was not sure he could finish it all.
Miria then took off her cooking utensils and apron. Then she sat down beside Liam.
Liam stayed silent. He was a little confused why Miria’s mother’s smile had been widening since earlier.
"Liam." Miria’s mother called him.
Miria’s mother’s eyes turned into perfect crescents.
"When are you two getting married?"
