Chapter 942: Chapter 750: A Day Trip to Hogwarts
"Where is this?"
Kael raised his head somewhat bewilderedly, looking at the corridor in front of him.
It resembled a castle, but was completely different from the one in his memory; at least the castle he remembered didn’t look so... new?
It was as if everything before him had been washed with water and then waxed, making everything appear exceptionally bright.
Let’s put it this way, it was like comparing Sirius’s exquisite new car to Mr. Weasley’s old nine-hand Ford, the difference was obvious.
Even the positions of the picture frames on the walls had changed; each painting was new, and even the gold accents hadn’t tarnished, sparkling brilliantly in the sunlight.
Kael was certain this was definitely not the Hogwarts Castle of his memory.
But hadn’t he just taken a single step?
"Come with me," came Ravenclaw’s voice in his ear.
It wasn’t the kind of voice that appeared directly in his mind, but one that truly existed.
As Kael turned his head, he saw a tall witch standing next to him.
The witch’s face was calm and serene, exactly like Rowena Ravenclaw when he had seen her in the Chamber of Secret.
"Where is this?" Kael asked again, suddenly having a thought, "Could this be Hogwarts a thousand years ago?"
"No, this is indeed the place you imagined," Ravenclaw said.
"The Room of Requirement?"
"Is that what you call it?" Ravenclaw said indifferently, "I left it here, consider it Ravenclaw’s Chamber of Secret.
"Its special nature can simulate a particular environment from my memory, nothing more. So technically, you are still in school."
"Incredible." Kael touched the railing beside him, its texture felt almost real.
No, it should be said it was real, recreated by the Room of Requirement as another Hogwarts.
"But wasn’t I on the second floor just now?"
"Just a little trick, come with me,"
Ravenclaw walked straight ahead, and Kael quickly followed behind.
Along the way, he discovered he wasn’t alone; there were many students moving around the castle, they seemed conscious and even greeted Ravenclaw as they passed.
It wasn’t until Kael saw his hand pass through a person that he realized these were all illusions.
This feeling was as if he had entered a giant Pensieve, a mix of real and fake, very peculiar.
Kael even saw Godric Gryffindor, cloaked in red, teaching students swordsmanship in a classroom, holding the silver Goblin Treasure Sword.
"This will be your tutoring location," Ravenclaw said, "You can audit all classes here...
"Moreover, I’ve modified the content and translated it to a level you can understand; the only limitation is you cannot ask questions, only audit, and it’s up to you how much you comprehend."
Kael’s eyes lit up and he immediately leaned towards the nearest classroom door, Gryffindor’s classroom.
By this time, Gryffindor had defeated three students in a row, proudly balancing three belt-like fabric strips on his sword tip, flaunting victory and provocation,
while the three defeated students stood beside him, faces full of shame and anger, clutching their pants.
"Hey, Rowena," Gryffindor shouted excitedly toward the door, "Look at me..."
The returning Ravenclaw expressionlessly waved her hand, as if wiping away some dirt from a table... then the people in the classroom disappeared, and Godric Gryffindor was gone too.
"You don’t need to learn this." She paused before adding, "Swordsmanship for a wizard serves only as an aid, even Godric used his wand more often; he would only draw his sword if he was certain of victory."
"Yes, I agree it’s unnecessary to learn this." Kael nodded approvingly and headed towards the next classroom without looking back.
In this classroom was a completely unfamiliar professor, hunched over, bald-headed, reminiscent of Tom Senior from the Leaky Cauldron.
But they were definitely not the same person.
He was likely teaching Charm Class, and after listening for a while, Kael felt dizzy.
Because this Charm Class was completely different from what he was familiar with, requiring assistance from Magic Text instead of incantations.
As for the content, it was vastly different; not so much because of the power, but because Kael had never heard of those charms before.
He audited for twenty minutes, and then furrowed his brow, debating whether to leave.
As Kael felt perplexed, the old wizard’s voice on stage changed, and the unfamiliar charm suddenly turned into the Ice Creation Spell he knew.
Kael blinked, realizing this was what Ravenclaw meant by "translation," having another layer of meaning?
But truth be told, Kael was quite pleased.
Ancient charms... though they sounded sophisticated, they were filtered out based on the era’s circumstances and weren’t quite suitable for the present time.
Including the "Fire God Periculum" Kael learned, it had actually been modified by Dumbledore; the original effect might have been more exaggerated.
Take the un-translated charm earlier.
The Freezing Charm, when used with Magic Text, can freeze all living creatures within a mile radius into ice sculptures in a second.
