Chapter 924: Chapter 744: The True Aged Honey Wine
Hospital Wing.
Just as Kael had said, Madam Pomfrey didn’t ask what happened, perhaps because she was so shocked that she temporarily forgot.
How should I put it, a professor being brought to the hospital by students, even at Hogwarts, is quite a rare occurrence.
It wasn’t until Kael explained the situation that Madam Pomfrey finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Once she calmed down, she noticed that Slughorn and Ron were indeed just unconscious, as Kael described.
"Dumbledore always does this, hiring increasingly unreliable professors..." Madam Pomfrey couldn’t help but complain, "Just imagine, a Professor of Potions, and yet he managed to consume something laced with a Love Potion."
Kael shrugged, saying nothing.
Madam Pomfrey wasn’t wrong; although a Love Potion is tasteless, it does make the food appear glossier, as if coated in wax. If one were careful, they would definitely notice.
Wizards who deal with Magic Potions regularly should be even more aware of this.
Kael wasn’t sure about others, but he was certain that Snape would never make such a basic mistake.
So, Madam Pomfrey wasn’t entirely wrong; Slughorn indeed wasn’t very reliable in some aspects.
After a few complaints, Madam Pomfrey instructed Kael to place Ron and Slughorn on two separate beds.
The antidote for a Love Potion isn’t particularly difficult; Madam Pomfrey took several bottles from the shelf and poured the contents into two cups.
"Oh, dear, we’re out of Bafe Awakening Potion. Could one of you quickly go to Slughorn..." Madam Pomfrey glanced at the two on the bed and quickly corrected herself, "Hmm, go to Professor Snape; he should have some."
"No need," Conna quickly said, "I have some Bafe Awakening Potion with me."
She took out a sealed Magic Potion Bottle and handed it to Madam Pomfrey.
"Will this do?"
"Perfectly," Madam Pomfrey said with just a glance, opening the bottle and pouring the potion into the cup.
She then picked a few Ruta Graveolens petals from a nearby pot, wrapped them in a layer of soil, crushed them, and threw them in.
In less than five minutes, the two cups of antidote were ready.
At that moment, Harry burst in, panting heavily, with a flustered Professor McGonagall in tow.
"Oh my, oh my... Can someone please tell me what’s going on here!" Looking at the two motionless figures on the bed, Professor McGonagall turned pale and almost stumbled. Fortunately, Conna quickly stepped forward to hold her steady.
"Thank you, Miss Prince," Professor McGonagall said, clutching her chest, "What happened in the school? What’s wrong with them..."
"It’s nothing serious, Professor, just accidentally drank some Love Potion,"
Kael stepped forward and said, "I thought they were too lively, and to make it easier to bring them here, I had to use a Stunning Spell... Um, also to preserve their reputation."
"Just a Love Potion?" Professor McGonagall was momentarily stunned. It took her a few seconds to process the information. Then, she turned speechlessly to Harry.
He had rushed into her office earlier, shouting that something had happened without saying anything else, and dragged her all the way here.
Coupled with the panicked looks and chatter of people in the castle, Professor McGonagall almost thought the Death Eaters had infiltrated Hogwarts.
"I understand you’re concerned for your friends, Potter, but next time you must lead with the important information," Professor McGonagall said a bit exasperated.
Harry nodded sheepishly, realizing he had indeed been overly anxious earlier.
"Alright, Minerva, you can discuss this later," Madam Pomfrey interjected, bringing over the antidote, "Now, help me wake someone up first."
Kael waved his wand, and Ron immediately opened his eyes.
"Where am I, where’s Romilda..."
"There’s no Romilda here," Madam Pomfrey said, approaching to pinch Ron’s mouth open and pour in the antidote without further ado.
"You know, you could have made up any reason to get him to drink it," Harry mumbled, watching Madam Pomfrey, "In his current state, it wouldn’t have been hard."
Madam Pomfrey acted like she didn’t hear him; she wasn’t in the mood to think of excuses, preferring the more efficient method of pouring it directly.
Soon, Ron had drunk the entire cup of antidote.
Harry immediately watched him nervously. As Ron, who had been struggling, suddenly shivered all over, his face filled with an expression of extreme horror.
"Where am I... Oh my God! What have I done!" He clutched his hair, desperately trying to crawl into the space between the bedpost.
"Alright, you’re back to normal," Madam Pomfrey said, "Remember not to eat carelessly in the future."
She picked up the other cup of antidote from the table.
Kael appropriately pointed his wand again.
Just like Ron, Slughorn started wailing as soon as he woke up.
"Ah... Rosmerta, where are you, you’re the Cloak Grass in the Beauty Potion, your hair glows like Felix Felici in a Cauldron."
"Oh, is Ms. Rosmerta’s hair blonde?" Conna asked Kael in confusion.
"Now that you mention it..." Kael thought for a moment, "I don’t think so, at least not like the dazzling gold of Felix Felici."
But Madam Pomfrey didn’t care about such details; she approached Slughorn and administered the antidote to him in the same manner.
A few seconds later...
