Chapter 788: Chapter 698: Dementor-Repelling Necklace, the Two Extra People at Home_2

"There’s nothing to be done..." Kael said calmly. "Given the current situation, it’s necessary to boost the Ministry of Magic’s reputation a bit."

"Whatever, it doesn’t really matter either way." Fred and George didn’t bother with the details and immediately prepared to head back to their own office.

"Oh, right, one more thing." Kael quickly called after them. "You don’t need to worry about Ministry work for now. Just focus on making those magical items."

"Got it!" The two waved their hands and left without looking back.

Once all these things were settled, Kael finally let out a sigh of relief and returned to his office.

...

The next day.

A small purple booklet, thanks to the Owl Post Office, was delivered to every wizard’s hands.

"What’s this?"

No. 12 Grimmauld Place. Harry, who was eating breakfast, looked at the booklet in his hand and asked in confusion.

"It’s a good thing!" Fred said mysteriously. "I didn’t expect Kael to finish it so quickly, I thought it would take a few more days."

"Kael made this?" Mrs. Weasley walked in, holding a booklet in her hand as well.

"Yes, Mum," George said excitedly. "Take a look, there’s a surprise inside."

Mrs. Weasley looked at the booklet in her hand, half convinced.

[Published with Ministry of Magic authorization]

[Protecting you and your family from Dark Magic]

A group calling themselves Death Eaters has appeared in the Magic Realm. The following safety guidelines will help protect you and your family.

1. Do not leave home alone. When going out, try to return before dark.

2. Ensure the security around your residence. If possible, set up an Anti-Apparition Charm.

3. Learn as many of the following spells as possible: Iron Armor Spell (see spell and wand gesture on page 3), Disillusionment Charm (see page 6), Patronus Charm (see page 12)

4. All underage children at home must learn Side-Along Apparition.

5. Wizards in Muggle families may apply to the Ministry of Magic to activate a temporary Floo Network. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

The booklet wasn’t thick, about twenty pages or so. The first page was filled with things to watch out for. The rest were mostly detailed instructions on various charms.

"Very thorough." Mrs. Weasley flipped the booklet back and forth. "The Ministry has done well this time, they seem to have considered every possible situation, and they thought of both wizarding and Muggle families."

"Heh, Fudge would never come up with something like this. He just gives speeches telling everyone to beware of Death Eaters." Moody snorted from the side. "I’m betting this was Kael’s idea too."

"Didn’t we already say so?" George took a bite of his sandwich. "This is Kael’s idea."

"Professor Dumbledore was right to have him work at the Ministry," Tonks said as she flipped through the booklet in her hands. "He’s taking a lot of work off our plates."

"Enough talking," Fred urged, "keep reading, there’s a surprise at the end."

"What kind of surprise could there be?" Ron didn’t take it seriously, but he kept turning pages anyway.

Until the second-to-last page.

Additionally: Dementors currently pose a serious threat to every wizard’s safety. Since the Patronus Charm is a complicated spell, using magical tools is also a good defense.

If you need one, you can go to 37 Diagon Alley after July 11th. The owner of Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes has made an agreement with the Ministry of Magic to sell Dementor-Repelling Necklaces at cost price. Furthermore, you can get an additional five Galleons discount with a Magic Scroll.

"37 Diagon Alley?" Ron thought for a moment, then suddenly jumped up and looked at Fred and George. "Wait, isn’t that your..."

"That’s right, Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes," Fred said with a grin.

George pulled out a box as well. "Limited quantity, first come first served... But as our family, you get priority."

"How much?"

"Seven Galleons," Fred said, "but if you have the Magic Scroll, it’s only two."

"How much?" Kingsley, who had been silent, suddenly looked up and asked.

As an Auror, nobody knew better than him the price of magical tools.

An ordinary Anti-Evil Curse Hat costs over ten Galleons, let alone something to repel Dementors. If this is true, even seven Galleons is a bargain.

"This Magic Scroll... Where is it?" Ron asked, puzzled.

"If you’d bother to move your glorious fingers..." George shot him a look, impatiently, "you’d find it on the last page."

Ron’s cheeks were a bit red. Next to him, Harry quietly flipped another page.

Sure enough, on the last page of the booklet, there was a shiny slip of paper with a golden signature on it.

"Cornelius Oswald Fudge... That’s the Minister’s signature," Kingsley said softly.

"Duplicate." Moody tapped the paper with his wand.

The next second, the slip burst into flames and quickly turned to ashes.

"Nice, at least five anti-counterfeit charms on this," he nodded approvingly, not the least bothered by the loss of five Galleons.

"Of course," Fred said with a smile, "each one is money, so you have to be careful."

"I’m buying one." Kingsley tore off the slip and handed it, along with two Galleons, to Fred.

"Thank you for your patronage!" George handed him a necklace from the box.

Kingsley took the necklace, checked it over, then immediately crushed it in his hand.

A large wave of misty silver-white fog poured out, filling the small kitchen.
