"How can you be so beautiful? I’ll wait for you all night."
Mu Yichen frowned as he asked her, his dark eyes fixated on her without a trace of warmth.
Qin Mu sensed his anger and grasped his slightly cold hand: "Why were you waiting outside? Tell me, how long have you been waiting?"
"Just came out!"
Mu Yichen replied indifferently, unwilling to tell her he’d been outside for a long time.
Qin Mu of course didn’t believe him: "Just came out? What about the two cigarette butts on the ground? Thrown during the day?"

"Are the kids asleep? Are Mom, Dad, and Grandpa asleep? Go back inside, I’ll warm your hands for you!"

Mu Yichen said. He indeed wanted to call Zhang Hongyun’s father the day before yesterday, but Qiao Yi told him it had already been done, using his name in the call, and once it was made, Zhang Hongyun’s father immediately took action.
"Today Fan Qing and Tan Yiwen ran into me, thinking you had helped out, thanked me specifically, and Tan Yiwen even treated me and Xiaohao. Didn’t they thank the wrong person then?"
Qin Mu felt she had benefitted, and couldn’t help but laugh.
"Looking at it another way, this matter indeed had contributions from your husband, so they didn’t thank the wrong person."
Mu Yichen replied to her.
"That’s good then! Otherwise, I wouldn’t know how to repay them for taking advantage!"
"What do you need to repay them for? They owe you a lot more!"
Mu Yichen said while looking at her.
"Oh, later on, you never know who will need whom, Fan Qing and Tan Yiwen are certainly useful people, and I might be able to make use of them someday."
Qin Mu had already anticipated various outcomes between her and Madam W, even if they cooperate well now, that might not be the case in the future, especially regarding the person who’d take over W.
"You’re looking far ahead!"
"Of course! Don’t forget whose wife I am!"
Qin Mu was happy to be complimented, her eyes sparkling like stars while speaking to him.
"You’ve gotten clever!"
Previously, she definitely would have struggled.
"I had something to say just now, I forgot it completely!"
Qin Mu tilted her head up, blinking as she looked at him and said.
Mu Yichen laughed helplessly, how could his precious wife be so adorable?
"By the way, how long were you waiting for me outside?"
The night was deep, she didn’t wish to not know how long he had waited.
"When I went out it was almost nine, walked around the entrance, didn’t see you return so came back to the main building to wait."
Mu Yichen no longer kept it from her.
"Why do you always like waiting for me? I’m already yours now, the kind you can’t push away, do you still need to wait like this?"
Qin Mu looked up at him, feeling unable to bear his care.
"Because you are my woman!"
Mu Yichen gently brushed aside the stray hair from her face, his gaze softened unknowingly.
However, Qin Mu still saw some sadness in his eyes, unsure why he’d be sad when things were already so good between them.
"Sleep!"
Within minutes, Qin Mu fell asleep.
Mu Yichen, however, remained awake, just watching her sleep.
"If there really comes a day when I can’t push you away, that would be great!"
Mu Yichen couldn’t help but think this, because he knew Qin Mu too well – as long as he pushed her, she would definitely turn around and leave, with no hesitation at all.
