Chapter 8: What changed?
Walking at last, Yuta was still processing what was happening.
Why does the weather change? Was this even the same world?
Even though it was quite a while, he still remembered things were not supposed to start like this.
By now, he should be in his dorm; in his last life, when the apocalypse started, he was there, but this time he wasn’t there because of Alice. She called him to go shopping, and then on the way he remembered his past just when snowfall started.
He remembered how he died and felt a surge of anger in his heart. I will kill him and that monster. Remembering that monster he felt fear. Then Looking at Lalica and Alice guilt and regret hit again.
He died while fighting a guy who took a liking to Alice; when he lost her, one guy saved her in an apocalypse.
When he said he would take her along, their fight broke out; surprisingly, that guy was able to match his strength
Then there was a monster the size of a building that appeared out of nowhere, and it just crushed them all.
At that moment, he felt much regret, not that he was going to die; the strongest regret was not expecting their feelings.
But this time I won’t run away.’
I will change everything; we five will live a happy life together. Even while facing challenges, we will be happy like family. He declared in his heart, looking at Alice and Lalica. I need to bring Emmy and Emma along safely; I can’t waste time here.
But this guy.
He is dangerous...
Only some people survived and were able to adapt in the Apocalypse. All of those were all killers; they not only killed zombies, but they were also ready to kill innocent people for their own sake.
He thinks this guy was one of them.

I need to warn Alice and Lalica to stay away from him...and that lady too; he must manipulate her, taking advantage of her fear.
But why was Lalica acting friendly to him?
He felt really uncomfortable looking at Lalica walking next to him and smiling at him from time to time.
That wasn’t like her at all. She was distant to every male except him.

Why? What do you mean? Why? He is a stranger, holding a metal filled with blood, which isn’t bothering him at all, and you are asking why?
" Look at his bat. He killed those people!’’
"You mean zombies? He did it in self-defense... we also need to do that in the future."
"What?.." what the fuck? Wrong with her? Wasn’t he expecting any reasonable argument from her? Wait, it isn’t renewable at all!. Is she already adapting? Why so early? He tried to give reason to leave.

Here she was thinking how she would bring him with her, and this idiot was ruining everything.
Loid had a system... that was the only hope of survival. He said their families in the novel were dead or never showed up. She doesn’t want anything to happen to her mom and dad.
Now she doesn’t even want to tell Loid that she can hear his inner voice; what if that makes him more distant? She can’t let him run away; the only hope of her survival and the survival of her family.
She gave one last glance to Yuta, who’s left open. Idiot!.

Loid heard the protagonist bedmouthing him; looks like his jealousy was already triggering... Well, understandable; I am naturally the most handsome man in the world after all. I need to watch my back...
Jealousy of others easily can become the reason for my death, sigh, I would be better– If my looks stayed the same. Just being healthy would be fine... ops!, that’s what the system did; I was born handsome; just being poor killed my charm..

She tried to do it too, hehehehejejejejejkekekkefufufufufujajajja.. okay, I can do it too, but it’s not as fun laughing for real. Though his laughter sounded real as he was really talking.
Then she glanced at the childhood friend of her friend; he was also looking at her, and he smiled.
"Stop showing your yellow teeth!.." She said coldly.
"Pufff!..."
Color drained from Yuta’s face; he looked at the dark-haired guy who was making fun of him, barely holding his laughter, letting out small sounds. He clenched his fist.

Loid wasn’t deliberately trying to make him his enemy. It was funny, so a little puff slipped from his lips; he wished no one heard it.
