Chapter 12: New Heroines
Just when the protagonist disappeared from Loid’s view, he saw two girls with light-blue long choppy hair and bright amber-yellow eyes, trembling in the cold while walking toward them.
Just then, his system reacted again.

Again, but I’m falling this time. I don’t need those garbage rewards; I would buy them from a store with my own hard work.
But..., wait, why were they here? Then where are you going, Mr.protagonist?! Well, Whatever.

Emma and Emmy were twin sisters; their only family was their grandmother, who passed away last year.
Since then, they have been taking care of each other. Emma was a fiction writer; she was earning a decent living to live a comfortable life. Though she threw all her editing work to Emmy, she always changed most of the story. But their stories sell well.
Their life was going smoothly when, around a week ago, they started hearing the voice of the boy, and that scared the hell out of them.
Emma remembered clearly; at first, she thought she had some type of mental illness. At the same time, Emmy came running, telling her she had a mental illness. She was hearing the voice of the boy.
And hearing her sister scared her even more. Scared, Emma told her that she could hear it too. How can both get mentally ill at the same time, so they come to the same conclusion that there was a ghost in their house
And immediately they ran out of the house,
But that voice didn’t leave them; then it started getting more funny than scary, a boy complaining, then dreaming about becoming immediately and praising how good looking was. Emma imagined him staring into the mirror and posing weirdly.
But sometime later, Emmy started getting annoyed, shouted Go away then she said she can’t hear it anymore. She tried too— so they found out they could hear it whenever they wanted or shut it down. It was like some kind of superpower... it didn’t appear scary anymore, so they started paying attention to important things.
And the boy’s voice sounded uneven, like thoughts; he was not talking to them. And maybe he didn’t even know that they were hearing his thoughts.
But his thoughts gave them a lot of surprises- they found out about the apocalypse, the system; this was a novel world; everything was shocking.
And they decided not to take the risk; maybe this power God gave them so they can save themself, so since they knew the apocalypse was starting today, they left the house to meet the owner of the thoughts, but no one warned them about this snowfall.
For sure, they caught a cold; they were stopping and pressing sneezing, so they didn’t attract zombies. Their hands and legs hurt from the cold, freezing to the point it felt like burning.
Finally, their eyes lit up when they saw the group: a boy with dark hair, raven eyes, and then three girls around. The protagonist was missing; he would be just gone, as they heard from his thoughts.
Just then, they got a new shock: they were heroines... but they would think about this later; first, they needed warm clothes!.

Lalica and Alice looked at each other.
"We will talk later," Lalica muttered.
"Alright.." Alice agreed; they had new guests.

Two pretty, trembling girls who looked like mirrors of each other walked closer to them.
"Can we join your group? Our house was filled with those; we don’t know where to go... please, or we will die’’ Emma said softly. Their strategy was simple: appear as helpless girls as they really are right now.
"I?" Loid looked at them; the two girls were looking back at him with hopeful eyes that believed in humanity and kindness. Right now, even devils would hesitate to say no to them, but he won’t- well, he just doesn’t need to.
He decided to let the ladies decide the future of the ladies; if they rejected them, he would simply give them some warm clothes and some survival tips; it’s not so hard to survive... but this fucking weather.
Okay, it really is hard to survive at the speed that weather is becoming worse; he himself wasn’t sure that he could survive or not.
He looked at Lalice at her friend’s place; they were going, so let her decide.
"No!" Lalice flatly rejected the twins
Wow! Cruel but reasonable. I feel bad for them... whatever, I don’t care, I really don’t care...

Emma and Emmy looked at each other, then nodded. They expected this; they knew he wasn’t alone; others could be against letting them join. But they already had a second plan ready.
They planned to tell him they could hear his inner voice and...
"I’m just kidding, of course, you pretty lady can join," Lalica said, chuckling.
Her jokes were deadly, Loid thought.
"Come here; I would give you girls winter clothes", Lalica added.
"Thank you, sister Lalica", Emma said.
"You guys know each other? Loid asked.
"Yes, we do, right? Emmy, Emma!" Lalica said, laughing.
Emma, looked at death glare; they were shocked that she knew their name. Maybe she knows the same way as they know her; just now Emma slipped her tongue.
So they were not alone. Probably all heroines can hear his thoughts. They came to the realization; they looked at each other, then nodded, and walked to Lalica.
"You guys stay here; they need to change their clothes. Snow was all over them." Lalica said to Loid
He nodded.
"Alice, you came with me "
"Okay.’’
She walked next to her; behind them, new blue-haired girls followed.
Loid closed the door, stopping cold wind from entering. Looks like they’re staying a little longer. Suck the plot. All the heroines already know each other; they didn’t in the novel. Garbage system; you probably manipulated my memories, reminding me of a fake novel, shit, what’s your purpose?
"It’s so cold... want to hug," Mira asked.

In one of the changing rooms.
"Can you hear his thoughts too? ’’ Emma asked, as her dress hit the floor, revealing the curves of her body; so did her sister’s. They were in light pink underwear. And without shying away, they took winter clothes from Lalica’s hand and started dressing up.
"Wait. What?. No way? It can’t be!..." Alice’s mouth was left open.
"You’re too slow, Alice," Lalica chuckled.
"Now everything makes sense," Alice muttered, staring at her face, frowning. She could have told her earlier.
Lalica ignored her and focused on Emma. "And you wanted to tell him that you can hear his thoughts. ’’
"Only if he rejected us to bring...
"What? If he decided to get rid of you, since you know his secrets, " Lalica asked, cutting her off.
Emmy and Emma looked at her weirdly and suspiciously.
"Can you really hear his thoughts? ’’ Emma asked.
Lalica sighed. "Forget it, just don’t let him find out we can hear his thoughts. "
"Why?" Emma asked
Alice was also curious; at one point, she also thought of telling him but changed her mind later.
"What do you mean, why? Won’t he feel uncomfortable? How would you feel when someone is peeping at you for twenty-four hours? We are totally invading his inner privacy."
"Alright, we never let him find out,’’ Emma said.
Emmy and Alice nodded.
Totally understanding they would appear to him as creeps.
Then Lalica turned to Alice.
"And we were kicking your childhood friend out of the group.’’
"Huh? Why?! "
"Because he was totally creepy."
"he didn’t do anything other than confessing to me?’’ Alice protested.
" Well, you only say that because you didn’t read his thoughts."
"You were saying as you...," She saw a grin on her face. "You don’t... can you? You did, how?"
"hehehe..guess’’
"You can hear his inner v..."
"No"
"Then how?"
"You have mind-reading ability,’’ Emmy said, and added. "Just guessing he was not getting rewards; they have to be going somewhere if the system is just not trying to upset him.’’
Lalica looked at her, a little surprised. "You were a smart one, are not you.’’’
"Well, you agreed. When I was just about to tell him we could hear his inner voice.. you were reading my mind, weren’t you."
"No way!. Then who has other abilities?!" Alice asked.
"Well, of course, me.’’
" Wait, wait, you mean you got all of them: superhuman strength, telekinesis, mind reading. Three of them!"
"You forgot healing.."
"Why only you!.. That’s not fair. Wait, you kissed him; that’s why you get it, didn’t you? Why don’t I kiss him!...wait!.. I still have a chance. I’m going to kiss him; the system was calculating the rewards."
Emmy and Emma looked at each other, then nodded.
"Calm down, you are getting it all wrong. I get superhuman strength in our dorm room; I didn’t even meet him then, so kiss had nothing to do with it.’’
"I’m not believing you; you can lie too smoothly ’’
"Huh?!"
