Chapter 665: The World Seed Bidding War
Mirena entered Garion’s bid without hesitation.
[3,500,000,000 Cosmic Coins]
The number appeared on the auction screen, and the bidding channels immediately became even more active.
[3,800,000,000]
[4,100,000,000]
[4,600,000,000]
Garion watched the price rise with growing interest. "Not bad. People really want this thing."
Mirena glanced at him. "Of course they do. A World Seed is rare."
Another bid appeared.
[5,000,000,000 Cosmic Coins]
A voice suddenly came through one of the private bidding channels. "I am Elder Harkan of the Crimson Bone Alliance. I advise everyone here to show some respect."
The atmosphere around the auction immediately changed.
Another voice responded coldly, "Crimson Bone Alliance? Never heard of you."
Several people laughed.
Elder Harkan’s voice became darker. "You’ll remember us when your ships start disappearing."
Selene’s smile vanished.
Her emerald eyes turned cold as she looked toward the bidding channels. "This is an auction."
Her voice remained calm, but the pressure behind it made the entire channel fall silent. "Threaten another participant again, and your bidding access will be removed permanently."
Elder Harkan immediately went quiet.
Selene’s expression remained cold. "I don’t care which clan, alliance, sect, or faction you belong to. Inside this auction, everyone follows the same rules."
Garion raised an eyebrow. "She’s scary."
Mirena nodded calmly. "That’s why she’s the host."
The bidding resumed almost immediately.
[5,500,000,000]
[6,000,000,000]
[6,800,000,000]
Garion rubbed his chin. "Seven and a half."
Mirena entered the bid.
[7,500,000,000 Cosmic Coins]
The price remained still for several seconds.
Another participant finally bid.
[8,000,000,000]
Garion grinned. "Nine."
[9,000,000,000 Cosmic Coins]
Silence followed.
Selene waited calmly.
"Going once."
No response.
"Going twice."
The bidding channels remained silent.
"Sold."
[World Seed sold for 9,000,000,000 Cosmic Coins.]
Garion leaned back with a satisfied smile. "Nice."
Across the auction, several participants immediately began checking the winner’s information.
"Who bought it?"
"I don’t recognize that voice."
"That screen number is unfamiliar too."
"A new faction?"
Someone paused.
A few moments later, another voice spoke more carefully. "Wait... an unknown faction that suddenly became famous recently..."
The channel became noticeably quieter. "Could it be... God Gym?"
---
Inside one of the private auction rooms, Elder Harkan of the Crimson Bone Alliance frowned deeply when he heard the other participants mention God Gym.
He had already heard of that name.
Everyone had.
A mysterious faction had suddenly appeared from nowhere, produced a monster like Rovak, and was now casually spending nine billion Cosmic Coins on a World Seed.
Harkan’s expression darkened.
"Good. Very good."
The subordinate beside him immediately lowered his head.
Harkan leaned back in his seat, his fingers tapping slowly against the armrest. "So this God Gym has decided to cross me."
The subordinate hesitated. "Elder, should we investigate them first?"
"Of course." Harkan’s eyes became colder. "Find their location and teach them a lesson."
The subordinate looked slightly uncertain. "Their background is still unknown."
Harkan waved one hand dismissively. "Hah. So what? They probably chose a ridiculous name like ’God Gym’ just to scare weaker factions and make others hesitate."
A cruel smile appeared on his face. "That may work on cowards, but not on me."
The subordinate nodded. "Understood."
Meanwhile, inside another private auction room, Patriarch Dravion Ignis stared at the bidding information with a slightly surprised expression.
"God Gym is participating in this auction too?"
Beside him, Elder Varan sighed. "Apparently."
Dravion leaned back in his seat. "Now do you understand why I told you not to provoke them carelessly?"
Varan remained silent for a moment.
Ever since meeting Garion personally, he had slowly realized something.
Garion was simply too strange and far too unpredictable.
Varan finally sighed. "It seems you were right, Patriarch. I was too hot-headed."
Dravion suddenly laughed. "Hahaha! Don’t worry about it."
Varan looked at him.
Dravion smiled. "You’re an Ignis Dragon. Being hot-headed is practically normal for us."
Varan’s mouth twitched slightly.
Dravion’s expression became more serious. "Even so, that doesn’t mean we can let our temper control us every single time."
He glanced back at the auction screen. "The Dragon Race is powerful, but we are not truly at the top of the top."
Varan slowly nodded.
Dravion crossed his arms. "Knowing when to fight is important."
His golden eyes narrowed slightly. "Knowing when not to fight is even more important."
---
Garion leaned back with a satisfied grin after successfully winning the World Seed.
For once, he looked genuinely pleased with his purchase.
He glanced at Mirena. "You still have access to my account, right?"
Mirena nodded. "Yes."
Garion pointed casually toward the auction screen. "Good. If another World Seed appears, bid on it."
Mirena raised an eyebrow. "How much?"
Garion smiled. "I don’t care."
Her expression paused slightly.
Garion continued, completely serious, "Use as much money as necessary. Even if you have to spend everything in my account, just get it."
Mirena stared at him for a few seconds, clearly wondering whether he was joking.
Garion’s grin answered that question.
Eventually, she nodded. "Understood."
The auction continued.
Several artifacts, materials, beast cores, and rare territories appeared one after another.
Not long afterward, Selene’s expression became serious again as another transparent crystal container rose onto the platform.
A pale golden sphere floated inside it, glowing softly beneath the auction lights.
[Item: World Seed]
[Original Race: Luminar Race]
Garion immediately sat forward.
Mirena did not even bother asking this time and directly started bidding.
The price climbed rapidly, but she followed Garion’s order without hesitation, raising the bid every time another participant tried to take the World Seed.
Minutes later, Selene finally raised her hand.
"Sold."
The second World Seed had been won.
Garion leaned back with a satisfied grin. "Nice."
Mirena glanced at him. "You really plan to collect these, don’t you?"
Garion laughed. "Of course. After all, they’re World Seeds. Whether they’re useful or not, I don’t care."
Mirena rolled her eyes. "What a wasteful bastard."
