Chapter 662: The Auction Assistant Arrives
A few days later, Garion was relaxing inside God Gym’s temporary base when the communication device on the table suddenly lit up.
BZZZT!
Paren’s projection appeared almost immediately.
Garion glanced over with a relaxed expression. "What’s up?"
Paren got straight to the point. "I want to borrow Rovak for a while."
Garion raised an eyebrow. "Borrow him?"
"You know, for the auction," Paren explained. "The three hidden ultimate training slots you gave me. Having Rovak there as living proof of the training will make people bid harder."
Garion immediately understood and nodded. "Oh, that makes sense."
He turned his head toward the training area and shouted, "Rovak!"
A few seconds later, heavy footsteps approached.
Rovak appeared with a wide grin. "What?"
Garion pointed at Paren’s projection. "Paren wants you."
Once Rovak heard the explanation, he nodded without hesitation. "Okay. I’ll come."
Paren immediately shook his head. "No need. Alira is already heading there to pick you up."
Rovak shrugged casually. "Fine."
Garion suddenly became more interested. "Wait. Is this auction online or offline?"
Paren looked at him as if the answer should have been obvious. "Online, of course."
Garion nodded slowly. "Makes sense."
Paren continued, "It’s far too large for a normal offline auction. Too many clans, factions, merchants, and powerful figures want to join."
Garion’s eyes lit up slightly. "Are there other things being sold too?"
Paren smiled faintly. "Of course. This is a proper large-scale auction."
Garion immediately leaned forward. "I’m joining."
Paren sighed. "I knew you would say that."
Garion ignored him. "What currency are you using?"
"Cosmic Coin."
Garion rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Good. I’ll send some unused materials with Alira later. Convert them into Cosmic Coins for me, will you?"
Paren gave him a long look, already suspecting that Garion’s idea of "unused materials" might be ridiculous.
Eventually, he nodded. "Fine. I’ll handle it and register you for the auction."
Garion grinned. "Nice."
Rovak looked between them. "What are you planning to buy?"
Garion shrugged. "No idea."
Paren’s mouth twitched.
Garion’s grin became wider. "That’s why I need to see the auction first."
Paren sighed again. "Just don’t spend everything."
Garion laughed. "No promise."
---
Not long afterward, Alira’s silver ship descended through the storm clouds and landed near God Gym’s temporary base.
Garion and Rovak were already waiting outside.
The hatch opened with a soft mechanical sound, and Alira stepped out. This time, however, she was not alone.
A woman followed behind her.
She had short dark-blue hair, sharp amber eyes, and wore the neat uniform of an Astral Cosmic Terminal employee.
A thin transparent screen floated beside her, constantly displaying numbers, prices, transaction records, and other auction-related information.
Alira gestured toward her. "This is my coworker, Mirena."
Mirena gave Garion a polite nod. "Nice to meet you."
Alira continued, "She’ll assist you during the auction. Bidding, payments, registration, transfers, or anything else related to the auction, just ask her."
Garion looked Mirena up and down briefly, then nodded with satisfaction. "Sounds useful."
Mirena’s expression remained professional. "I’ll also need your cosmic identity card."
Garion nodded and handed it over.
Mirena scanned the card with the transparent screen beside her, checked several lines of information, and returned it a few moments later.
"Done. Your account can now participate directly in the auction."
Garion grinned. "Nice."
He suddenly took out a spatial storage tool and tossed it toward Alira.
Alira caught it casually. "What’s this?"
Garion grinned. "The stuff I wanted to trade for Cosmic Coins."
Alira looked inside.
Her expression immediately changed.
The spatial storage tool was packed with materials, rare objects, and beast corpses collected from this crazy planet.
Some of the corpses still carried powerful energy fluctuations, while a few of them were clearly at the Star Realm level.
Alira slowly raised her head and stared at Garion. "You call this unused stuff?"
Garion shrugged casually. "Yeah. I wasn’t using any of it."
Mirena also checked the contents, and even her professional expression finally cracked slightly.
She stared at the storage tool for a few seconds before looking at Garion with a much more serious gaze.
Alira sighed. "Fine. This should convert into a lot of Cosmic Coins."
Garion nodded, clearly satisfied. "Good."
Alira put away the spatial storage tool and turned toward Rovak. "Alright. Get in. We’re leaving."
Rovak nodded and started walking toward the ship.
Garion suddenly called out from behind him. "Rovak."
Rovak stopped and turned his head.
Garion grinned. "Put on the best show."
Rovak’s grin immediately became savage. "Of course."
---
After the silver ship left, Garion looked back at Mirena with sudden interest. "By the way, what kind of items usually appear in this auction?"
Mirena paused for a moment before answering, "It’s random."
Garion raised an eyebrow. "Random?"
Mirena quickly explained, "Yes. The auction collects valuable items from different clans, factions, merchants, explorers, and private sellers, so the inventory changes every time."
She tapped the transparent screen beside her, causing several categories to appear.
"At the very least, you can expect things like artifacts, planets, beast cores, rare materials, cultivation resources, and other objects of similar value."
Garion’s expression became noticeably more interested. "Planets?"
Mirena nodded calmly. "Of course. Small resource planets, damaged planets, abandoned territories, or planets with special environments can all be sold."
Garion rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Not bad."
Mirena continued, "Most major items in this auction will be at least Star Grade. Anything below that usually isn’t valuable enough to attract the factions participating."
Garion’s grin slowly widened. "Star Grade artifacts, beast cores, planets..."
He looked increasingly pleased with each word.
Mirena watched his expression and added, "There may also be rarer things."
Garion immediately looked at her. "Like what?"
Mirena’s amber eyes sharpened slightly.
"World Seeds."
Garion’s smile disappeared for a second.
"World Seeds?"
Mirena nodded. "Not often, but it happens."
Garion’s expression became completely serious. "What is a World Seed?"
Mirena froze.
For the first time since arriving, her professional expression cracked completely.
"Huh?"
At the same moment, a familiar presence suddenly appeared invisibly beside Garion.
Atlas’s voice immediately sounded in his mind, filled with disbelief.
[What the hell? You don’t know? Didn’t I teach you this already?]
