Chapter 87: Chapter 87 Closer and closer
Alana couldn’t help but push him away, panic flashing in her clear eyes. “Stephan, don’t do this...”
“I...I have a boyfriend. Don’t do this...”
In her panic, she once again used her nonexistent boyfriend as a shield. She hoped this would make him see reason and let her go.
Little did she know, this had just struck a nerve with him. Flames instantly flared in Stephan’s eyes.
His chest was consumed by a surge of jealousy, burying all reason beneath it.
His long fingers gripped her chin. “So what if you have a boyfriend?”
“Alana, even if you have a boyfriend, it won’t stop me from wanting to make love to you here until the sky turns dark and the earth grows dim!”
He’d already resolved to be the other man and steal her away.
Then he’d be her only man.
Why would he be afraid of her boyfriend, who was away on a business trip?
After all, her boyfriend was always away on a business trip, wasn’t he?
Since he was not here, she shouldn’t blame him for taking everything she had to offer and claiming her completely!
“You...”
Alana was stunned by the man’s words. He...what on earth was he talking about?
He wanted to... do that to her...
Oh, this scoundrel, this pervert...
How could he be so outrageous?!
Her face flushed with embarrassment, and she instinctively pushed him away from her. But she couldn’t push him away; he hooked his arm around her slender waist, gripped her chin, and kissed her fiercely...
He devoured her lips, sucking and nibbling, prying open her rosy lips with a kiss that was fierce and relentless.
Alana couldn’t resist at all.
Her tongue tingled from his sucking.
“Alana?”
“Alana?”
Mark’s voice grew closer, as if he were coming out of the kitchen. Alana was frantic. She wriggled her body and pushed against the man’s chest, trying to break
free.
But all she got in return was his even deeper, more possessive kiss.
She felt as if her breath were being snatched away. Her breathing was ragged, her saliva tangled.
The sound was terrifyingly clear.
Even more terrifying was Mark’s voice growing ever closer.
What if Mark got close enough to hear the sounds of her and Stephan being intimate, or to see their entwined figures?
Alana grew even more frantic and opened her mouth to bite the man’s lips.
But the man had anticipated this; he pinched her chin, preventing her from biting him.
Alana’s eyes welled up with tears, glistening with moisture as she looked utterly wronged, on the verge of breaking down. It was as if she were silently accusing him of being too harsh.
Stephan looked at the girl’s pitiful expression, his heart softening slightly, and he released her lips.
Yet his dark eyes still revealed his unmasked desire and longing for her, growing ever more intense.
His warm, moist lips brushed against her cheek. “I want to make love to you so badly. What should I do?”
He’d been driving himself crazy thinking about it for so many days and nights.
Alana’s body trembled slightly, and she instinctively refused, “No, don’t...”
Stephan narrowed his dark eyes. “Sleep with me just once, and I’ll let you go.”
Hearing the footsteps drawing closer, Alana was on edge. After hesitating for less than a second, she agreed. “Okay, I’ll do it.”
Mark walked out of the kitchen and into the living room.
He saw that Alana had just closed the bedroom door.
She was biting her soft, unnaturally red lips, her cheeks flushed slightly, and her expression seemed a bit awkward.
Mark felt that she was acting strangely, though he couldn’t quite put his finger on what was off.
He asked, “Lana, I called you just now. Did you hear me?”
Alana lifted a finger to gently tuck a strand of hair behind her ear, feigning composure. “I...I heard you.”
“Sorry, I was just tidying up some things in the room, so I didn’t respond right away.”
“Um, didn’t you say you needed a hand? I’ll go help you right now.”
Mark paused for a moment, then nodded. “Uh, okay.”
The two of them went into the kitchen to work on the drain. After fiddling with it for a while, the drain finally cleared.
Alana offered Mark a glass of water and thanked him, saying, “Thanks for your help,
Mark.”
Mark took the glass, took a big gulp, and then smiled. “No problem. If you run into any trouble, just give me a call. I’ll come over to help whenever I’m free.”
Alana nodded. “Okay.”
Mark set down the glass and asked earnestly, “Is there anything else you need help with right now?”
After all, there had been a noise in Alana’s bedroom just now, and she wasn’t sure if there really was a mouse.
He was worried she might not be able to handle it on her own as a young woman.
Alana shook her head; all she wanted now was for Mark to leave as soon as possible.
“No.”
Mark nodded. “Then... should I go now?”
Alana nodded. “Okay, goodbye.”
“Goodbye.”
Alana saw Mark out and, after closing the door, finally let out a sigh of relief.
That was a close call.
However, while Mark had left, there was still a far more dangerous person in her house.
As long as that dangerous person remained, her personal safety could not be guaranteed for even a moment.
Suddenly, a deep, magnetic voice sounded behind her.
“Did that fat guy leave?”
Alana turned around and saw the man emerging from her bedroom again.
She pursed her full lips, nodded, and then said,
“He’s not ‘the fat guy.’ His name is Mark; he’s the landlord’s son.”
Stephan’s dark eyes fixed on her intently.
“He seems quite friendly and helpful toward you.”
Alana replied earnestly, “He’s like that with all the tenants.”
Stephan narrowed his dark eyes. What a naive woman.
If a man had even the slightest interest in a woman, would he really linger in her apartment for so long?
He even needed a hand fixing the drain, something he could clearly handle on his own, yet he insisted she help.
What kind of help could she possibly offer?
Besides, she didn’t even realize that when that fat guy looked at her, his eyes went wide, he didn’t even try to hide it.
Not only was she oblivious, but she kept being polite to that fat guy, greeting him with a smile. Wasn’t she afraid other men would notice her?
A faint pang of jealousy flashed through his mind. Frowning, he said, “If anything goes wrong with this little place of yours in the future, just call me directly.”
Alana didn’t dare to agree right away.
Calling him over, what’s the difference between that and inviting a wolf into her home? She wasn’t that foolish.
“Do...you know how to fix a drain?”
“Just fiddle with some tools, it’s not exactly a highly technical job.”
His own drain had broken down before; sometimes, when the repairmen didn’t show up in time, he’d just tinker with them himself and fix them.
Alana let out a nervous “Oh.”
With the man there, she felt incredibly awkward and didn’t know what to say.
She really wanted to send him away, but just a moment ago.
In a moment of panic, she’d agreed to that thing he asked, and now she felt lost and full of regret.
She was hoping he would take the initiative to mention that he had to leave.
But... that seemed highly unlikely.
Suddenly, Stephan walked toward her.
Alana couldn’t help but feel nervous and tried to step back.
But she realized she was pressed right up against the door, with nowhere left to go.
She watched as the man gradually closed in on her, getting closer and closer.
