Chapter 60: Chapter 60 Waiting for her
So Alana had no reason to refuse.
Luca smiled. “That’s settled, then. I currently live in the Ford Estate. If it’s convenient for you, let’s set a time and I’ll
take you to see my place.”
Upon hearing “Ford Estate,” Alana’s expression shifted slightly.
Isn’t that...where Stephan lives?
No way?
Luca actually lives in the same Estate as Stephan?
That’s such a coincidence!
Noticing the change in Alana’s expression, Luca couldn’t help but ask with concern.
“What’s wrong? Is there a problem?”
Alana forced a smile. “No, nothing’s wrong.”
She had already agreed to his request; it wouldn’t be right to back out now.
Besides, with a monthly salary of 10,000 dollars, she didn’t want to miss out on this opportunity. With that ten thousand, she’d have the money to pay back that man next month.
Besides, there were so many buildings and villas in that Estate; even if they were in the same neighborhood, they might not run into each other.
Besides, she hadn’t seen him in over a week; maybe he’d already forgotten her and found someone new.
After getting discussing a few more minutes, the matter was settled.
It was getting late.
Alana was ready to head home.
Seeing that it was getting late, Luca offered thoughtfully, “Let me take you home.”
Alana nodded. “Okay.”
Luca drove his car over.
It was a Mercedes-Benz.
He opened the door and invited her to sit in the passenger seat.
Alana politely thanked him and got in.
In the car, the two chatted and laughed, growing much closer.
By the time they returned to her neighborhood, it was already past ten o’clock.
Alana got out of the car and said gratefully to Luca, “Thank you, Luca, for driving me home. See you tomorrow.”
They had plans to visit his home to see his pets the next day.
Luca also stepped out of the car. As the night grew darker, he gazed at Alana with a
somewhat dreamy look. “See you tomorrow.”
“Well, I’ll be going now.”
“Okay.”
“Goodbye.”
“Goodbye.”
After exchanging goodbyes, Alana turned and walked into the residential complex.
Luca, however, stared at Alana’s slender figure for a long time.
He seemed to recall Eve mentioning that Alana was still single.
A girl this beautiful, and she was still single?
The night was beautiful. As he watched her retreating figure, he felt a strange flutter in his heart.
Little did they know that, out of their sight, a cold, dark gaze had been watching them the entire time.
Like a beast lurking in the shadows, creeping through the darkness, waiting for the right moment to pounce, ready to tear its prey to pieces at any second.
Danger at its peak.
Alana walked to the elevator door, pressed the button, and stepped inside.
The elevator doors were about to close.
Suddenly, a muscular male arm reached into the elevator out of nowhere, stopping the doors from closing.
Alana was startled.
She watched in disbelief as the elevator doors, which had been about to close, slowly opened again.
As the elevator doors slowly swung open, a man dressed in a black suit, tall and broad-shouldered, exuding an icy aura, gradually came into her view.
Alana’s eyes widened involuntarily.
“W-what? It’s you?”
Stephan forcefully pushed the elevator doors open and walked in, his hands in his pockets. His icy gaze fixed on her, his eyes churning with dark, indecipherable emotions.
“Expecting someone else?”
His voice was low and icy, exuding a suffocating sense of pressure.
Seeing the man’s stern, handsome features and the relentless pressure he exuded, Alana couldn’t help but step back, her mind racing with panic.
She had thought he had forgotten her and would no longer appear by her side. But she never expected...
Stephan cornered the girl against the wall.
The icy aura emanating from him was intense.
The girl tried to escape, but he caught her with both hands, trapping her between his body and his arms.
She was like a caged beast, completely unable to break free from his grip.
His dark eyes fixed on her, a flicker of jealousy and rage flaring in their depths.
“Who was that man just now?”
Alana froze, momentarily unable to process the question. “What do you mean, who was that man?”
Stephan’s tone was stiff, as if he were struggling to restrain himself. “The one who just drove you home!”
“Oh, Luca. He’s a friend of my best friend.”
Luca?
Stephan furrowed his brow. So that man wasn’t her boyfriend?
Wait, why did she call that man “Luca,” and in such an intimate way?
When she addressed him, she rarely called him by his first name.
Always Mr Hudson.
It was only when she was upset that she addresses him by his first name.
Stephan locked his gaze on the girl’s beautiful eyes, his deep voice as cold as mist. “It’s late at night. Did you ask him to take you home?”
“It’s past ten o’clock. It’s been several hours since work ended. Don’t tell me you’ve been with this Luca the whole time?”
As the accusatory words poured out, he didn’t even realize how bitter his tone had become. Like the bitterness of being soaked in concentrated sulfuric acid.
He had waited for her for hours, and during those hours, she had been with another man. What had they been doing together?
Jealousy mingled with rage, leaving him in a state of turmoil.
Alana raised her eyes to look at the man standing before her.
His gaze was icy at that moment, and even the tips of his eyebrows carried a hint of coldness. Was he angry?
Was he angry that another man had took her home?
But they weren’t in a relationship, he had no reason to be angry about this, did he?
Alana bit her lip, hesitating over whether to explain it to him.
Stephan couldn’t stand her silence. “Alana, answer me!” He knew he had overstepped his bounds, but so what?
In his eyes, she was practically his woman now.
Alana bit her lip but admitted it anyway. “Yes, I’ve been off work for hours, and I’ve been with Luca.”
Stephan breath caught in his throat.
For hours?
The whole time?!
