Chapter 56: Chapter 56 Stop kissing me

Stephan stared at her luscious lips, ignoring her plea to get up. Not only did he not rise, he continued to capture her soft, yielding lips with his own.

As if desperately trying to prove something, his kisses were fierce and relentless.

Alana felt her whole body go limp and weak under his kisses, tingling with a numbing sensation.

Her mind was filled with fear and resistance, yet her body inexplicably responded to his touch. How could this be...

The more she thought about it, the more terrified she became. She couldn’t bear this loss of control.

“Ste...Stephan, stop. Please stop kissing me...”

His low, hoarse voice asked, “Is his kissing technique better than mine?”

An alluring flush spread across her cheeks, a clear sign of arousal.

Alana froze, momentarily unable to process his words. What did he mean by that?

Stephan mistook her pause for lingering thoughts and bit her lip lightly.

“Enough. Don’t think about that man’s kiss.” With that, he lowered his head to kiss her again.

Alana was still trying to decipher his words when his kisses swiftly sent her reeling, dazed and disoriented.

Her taste was sweet and intoxicating.

Merely kissing her was nowhere near enough to satisfy him.

Memories of last night’s sex churned violently in his mind, making it impossible to calm his desires.

Kissing her, he lifted her up, cupping her hips with both hands as he strode toward her bedroom door.

He pushed open the slightly ajar door with his body.

Carrying her, he fell backward onto her soft bed.

Alana landed on the mattress, crushed beneath his weight.

Her dazed and confused thoughts snapped back into sharp focus.

Meanwhile, his lips had migrated from her mouth to her neck, her chest.

His hands were restless, roaming freely over her body, even tearing at her dress.

Startled and flushed with shame, Alana cried out, “Stephan, stop! Don’t you dare!”

“Get out now!!!”

Her hands and legs kicked wildly.

The man slightly brought his knees together, easily restraining her flailing legs.

Her hands were also captured and pinned above her head.

Alana couldn’t help but cry, feeling like a fish on a cutting board, completely at his mercy.

She had no power to resist.

“Stephan, please... don’t...”

Her eyes instantly reddened, brimming with wet tears.

So wronged, so wronged.

Why did he repeatedly bully her without consent, treating her with such reckless abandon?

His thuggish behavior terrified her...

Stephan heard the tremor in her voice, laced with tears.

He paused his movements and lifted his gaze to meet hers.

Her wet eyes held inexpressible resentment.

As if she’d suffered the greatest injustice.

His brow furrowed. He realized he’d gone too far.

Ever since hearing about her boyfriend, he’d lost control.

He had told himself: don’t rush things, take it slow.

Yet some uncontrollable force had thrown his actions into chaos.

His heart was simply too unsettled.

Loss of control be damned, heart in turmoil be damned, he felt no regret.

After all, he knew exactly how exhilarating it felt to kiss her, how his very blood had boiled.

Stephan released Alana’s hand. “I’m sorry...”

He reached out, his fingertip gently wiping away the tear from the corner of her eye.

“Stop crying. I won’t tease you anymore.”

Liar. Just words to placate her.

Truthfully, seeing her pitifully vulnerable like this made him want to tease her even more.

But in the end, he surrendered to her tears.

Alana flinched at his touch, her shoulders trembling slightly. She looked like a fragile, helpless little white rabbit.

“You... you go first...”

Stephan stared at her for a long moment. Her wet, reddened eyes were like a cinnabar birthmark etched onto his heart, painfully vivid.

“Fine. I’ll leave.”

He stood up, straightening his rumpled shirt slightly.

Glancing at the trembling girl on the bed, he pressed his thin lips together. His voice grew heavy. “Remember to lock your door tonight. That way, scoundrels like me won’t sneak in to take advantage of you.”

Alana bit her lip, clutching the light blue quilt, offering no reply.

The man, not getting a response, frowned. “Did you hear me?”

She replied muffledly, “Mm, heard you.”

Besides him, this scoundrel, who else would sneak in here to bully her?

Never seen a thief cry thief before.

Stephan , satisfied at her acknowledgment, left with a final “Get some rest” before turning away.

Soon after, the sound of the front door closing echoed through the night.

Alana lay still on her bed for a moment before quietly rising. She tiptoed to the entrance and carefully locked the door from the inside.

*******

After leaving Alana’s place, Stephan didn’t return immediately. Instead, he drove aimlessly for a while.

The wind whistled in his ears, yet it couldn’t blow away his restless thoughts.

The memory of Alana resisting his kiss, rejecting his affection, grew more bitter the more he dwelled on it.

Did she truly loathe his touch that much?

Last night, he had clearly felt her passion for him.

But her claim of being drugged had shattered his self-assuredness.

It had all been his own delusion.

So, what should he do about that woman, Alana?

Should he continue drawing closer, or restrain himself and distance himself from her?

His mood was restless, and he couldn’t decide.

********

Early the next morning.

Alana rose early, tidied herself, and took the document folder Stephan had given her. Riding her electric scooter to the nearby post office, she prepared to send the documents to the company anonymously.

This way, no one would discover she’d leaked them, sparing her unnecessary trouble.

After mailing the express package, she finally headed to the office.

Arriving at the project department, Alana placed the breakfast she’d brought on Carla’s desk.

“Carla, I brought you buns and soy milk.”

Carla was both surprised and delighted, immediately hugging Alana and planting a big kiss on her cheek.

“Wow, thank you, Lana fairy! You know I don’t often have breakfast, yet you remembered to bring me some!”

Alana chuckled. It was just a few yuan worth of steamed buns and soy milk, no need for such excitement.

Suddenly, Carla studied Alana, curiously. “Lana, why aren’t you wearing a skirt today? You look so pretty in skirts! Like a fairy!”

Today, Alana wore a simple shirt and jeans, a typical office worker’s outfit.

She owned several similar outfits.

Dresses, on the other hand, were scarce in her wardrobe.

Moreover, she realized that all the pretty dresses she’d been wearing lately were bought for her by Stephan.

The dresses she bought herself were nowhere near as nice as the ones he chose.

Thinking of Stephan, she couldn’t help but recall last night’s loss of control.

In the end, she’d told him to leave, and he really had left.

He must be... angry with her.

Fine, let him be angry. Their relationship...what kind of relationship did they even have?
