Chapter 55: Chapter 55 So hot
Alana was changing her shoes at the entryway.
She slipped off her white canvas sneakers and into a pair of pink bunny slippers.
After changing, she noticed the man staring at her.
More accurately, he was staring at her shoe rack.
Alana looked puzzled. “What’s wrong?”
Stephan’s gaze was icy.
Because he saw it, a pair of black men’s slippers on her shoe rack.
The presence of men’s slippers... did that prove a man had been in her apartment?
Was that man who’d been here her boyfriend?
The thought of this possibility stirred another wave of unease within him.
Thinking he wanted to change his shoes, Alana kindly offered, “You don’t need to change your shoes now that you’re inside. I’ll mop the floor later.”
Stephan sneered coldly. He didn’t need to change his shoes upon entering. These men’s slippers clearly weren’t meant for him.
If they weren’t for him, then they must be for her so-called boyfriend!
He raised his hand, gripped the doorknob, and abruptly slammed the door shut.
Seeing him close the door, Alana felt an inexplicable tightening in her chest.
She’d assumed he’d use the bathroom and leave, so she hadn’t bothered to lock it.
But now...
Nervously, she pointed with her finger. “The bathroom’s over by the kitchen. You... you should go.”
Stephan didn’t move, his tone light and tinged with coldness.
“So eager for me to use the bathroom? Trying to get rid of me as fast as possible?”
“No, it’s just... you said you needed to go, so I thought...”
He scoffed. “I don’t need to go anymore.”
The man suddenly shot her a fierce glare, then strode straight over to the sofa and sat down with unabashed confidence.
“I’m not leaving tonight. I’m staying here.”
Alana was shocked and confused.
She’d seen shameless people before, but never someone this shameless.
Barging in was bad enough, now he actually wanted to stay?!
She couldn’t help but step in front of him, her tone serious. “Stephan, you can’t do this! This place only has one bedroom!”
He lifted his gaze to meet hers, his dark eyes holding a hint of amusement.
“Only one bedroom?”
“Perfect. I’ll sleep with you.”
She stared at him, utterly dumbfounded.
She never imagined he could be this shameless, wanting her to squeeze into the same room, share the same bed?!
How outrageous!
“No, we can’t sleep together. Auntie Kate and Auntie Mabel saw you come upstairs with me earlier. If they find out you’re staying over, who knows what gossip they’ll spread behind my back! Just leave already! Don’t stay here any longer!”
Stephan watched the little woman’s mouth open and close, spewing words he hated to hear. She could let other men stay over, but not him?
They’d slept together three times already, their bond was deeper than that.
Seeing him staring at her, utterly motionless, Alana grew frantic. She reached out, grabbed his arm, and tried to pull him up.
“You...you need to leave now!”
Unexpectedly, not only did she fail to move him, but he gave her a gentle tug. She fell effortlessly into his embrace.
She pressed against him, her hands barely managing to brace against his chest.
Only then did she avoid colliding with him.
Her warm, fragrant body nestled against his.
Stephan’s warm palm rested on her waist, his dark eyes fixed on her, a fierce possessiveness blazing in their depths.
“Alana, if I don’t leave, what can you do to me?!”
Alana choked, her face flushing crimson.
Fuming, she bit her lip, her eyes glistening with unspeakable anger.
The shimmer in her eyes softened the man’s heart.
In the end, he couldn’t bring himself to be harsh with her.
His large hand gently massaged her slender waist, as if soothing her.
His voice was low and soft.
“Just let me stay this one night, okay?”
He refused to be outdone by her boyfriend.
The thought of that man sharing a space alone with her stirred inexplicable pangs of jealousy and bitterness within him.
Though consumed by these feelings, he would never show it.
Alana bit her lip as his scorching hand caressed her waist, sending uncomfortable waves through her body.
A tingling sensation spread through her, like an electric shock.
This feeling was especially pronounced during those intimate moments between them.
She forced herself to stay calm, restraining her voice as she whispered, “No, I can’t...Who would be so shameless as to stay in someone’s home without their permission? Besides, we’re not together. It’s inappropriate.”
Stephan snorted with a smirk. “You’ve stayed at my place and slept in my bed. How is that inappropriate? You went to my house alone and slept with me. Didn’t you feel there was a difference between men and women then?”
Alana grew flustered. “That’s different!”
“How is it different?”
“I went to your place because you texted me to...”
Her face flushed crimson as she tried to explain.
But he had no interest in her excuses. His hand gripped her waist, pressing her down forcefully.
He tilted his head slightly, silencing her chatter with a kiss.
Swallowing all her explanations into his depths.
Alana instinctively resisted, but he flipped her over, pinning her flat against the sofa.
His large hand cupped the back of her head, fingers tangling into her soft hair.
“Good girl. Don’t move. Let me kiss you properly.”
Alana saw the desire surging in his eyes and tensed instantly.
“Ste...Stephan, don’t...”
They’d already done so much last night. Did he want more tonight?!
They should have stopped while they were ahead, not kept losing control like this.
Stephan pulled her hands down from his chest and placed them on his defined abs.
He lowered his head to kiss her rosy lips, his voice thick with desire, radiating an indescribable sensuality.
“Alana, don’t reject me. I prefer it when you’re fiery and passionate like last night...when you cling to me like you can’t let go...”
Alana flushed instantly, her cheeks burning unbearably hot.
She felt deeply embarrassed by his bold words.
“Wh-what do you mean cling to you?! You know perfectly well I was drugged last night...”
In her right senses, she’d never do any of that.
Her voice was soft and sweet, sounding less like an excuse and more like a teasing retreat.
This only drew the man closer, his hot breath washing over her tender, flushed cheeks, his gaze deepening to an almost frightening intensity.
“Hmm, and then?”
This position made Alana want to die from shame and anger.
“You... get off me first. Don’t press down on me...”
Her hands were pinned to his abs, making it impossible to push him away.
The hard, rock-like feel in her palms, the excessive heat radiating from his body. It was becoming more and more tensed.
Why was her apartment suddenly so hot?
