Chapter 188: Chapter 188 Unnaturally red

Seeing that the man still saying nothing, Alana felt a strange stinging sensation in her eyes. She bit her lip and took a long time to speak.

“I’m sorry. I know you must feel so disappointed in me...I...I didn’t...I’d understand anything you choose to do now. If...if you want to break up...” By the end, her voice had grown faint. A hazy mist began to gather in her clear eyes, and the corners of her eyes were unnaturally red.

To be honest, the thought of breaking up made her heart ache, she just couldn’t bear to let him go.

Hearing the mention of a breakup, Stephan’s expression darkened, and his jaw tightened.

“Who said we’re breaking up?”

He no longer had the heart to concern himself with the man lying on the ground. Grabbing Alana by the shoulders, he demanded, “Lana, tell me honestly. Those pairs of flips flops in your apartment that time...those weren’t for him?”

“No. I just randomly bought them to make it seem...”

“Then who really is this man to you? Your first love? Your first boyfriend?”

Alana stared at Cole then at Stephan.

“Truth is, I used to think he was my first love and first boyfriend but when I think back now, I think I just foolishly believe what I felt for him was love. Plus, he never made time for me. We could go months without seeing each other. How could I still think that was a relationship? It felt as if I was the only one in that relationship. And now, after getting together with you, it feels like I’m learning so many new things and this feels like my first proper relationship.”

When he uttered the words “first proper relationship,” his voice actually trembled with a hint of excitement.

Alana’s shoulders were gripped tightly by the man; she could feel his uncontrollable emotions.

She lifted her slightly reddened eyes to meet his gaze, eyes deeper than obsidian, and nodded slowly and earnestly.

“You’re my first boyfriend, Stephan.”

A flicker of excitement instantly lit up his dark eyes.

So she had completely written off this punk on the floor and saw him, Stephan as the best boyfriend ever?!

Though he still felt salty that she tried to turn him away by making up an imaginary boyfriend at the time.

No wonder, all this time had passed, and her so-called boyfriend had never once shown up.

He should have realized this long ago.

But when a man was in love, his IQ drops to negative territory. Whatever she said, he believed it like a fool.

Because he never imagined she would

deceive him!

Stephan couldn’t help but cup her delicate face in his hands, gritting his teeth. “Lana, I’ve only just realized that you’re the real fraud!”

She’s always been the one accusing him of deceiving her, but now, who’s deceiving whom?!

Alana felt guilty. “I’m sorry...”

To be honest, so much time had passed. She’d thought that with his intelligence, he would have figured out the whole “boyfriend” thing long ago.

She didn’t expect he still hasn’t noticed.

Stephan stared into her moist, flushed eyes, his voice low. “Saying ‘sorry’ won’t do it. Make it up to me properly!”

“How should I make it up to you... mmm...” Before she could finish her sentence, the man’s forceful kiss robbed her of her breath. It came on so fiercely that she was completely powerless to resist.

Their lips and teeth tangled, their saliva mingling. The sounds amplified their senses, and with another man present, the excitement reached its peak.

Alana’s breathing grew ragged, her voice a soft gasp.

“Mmm, that’s enough, stop kissing me, there’s someone else here...”

The man clamped one hand around her slender waist, while the other pressed against the back of her neck, leaving her with nowhere to escape. His voice was low and hoarse, brimming with intense desire. “I don’t care. Let him watch! Let him watch me shower you with love properly.”

Giving Alana no chance to refuse, Stephan kissed her again.

Her soft, delicate lips were kissed and nibbled on repeatedly. As if he could never get enough, he took her upper lip between his teeth, then sucked on her lower lip, grinding against it and licking it gently.

Alana couldn’t take it anymore; her body trembled uncontrollably, and she collapsed

limply into his arms.

Only when she was kissed to the point of near suffocation did Stephan finally let her go.

He cupped her face with one hand, pressed his forehead against hers, and gazed at her flushed cheeks, breathing heavily.

“After all these kisses, you still don’t know how to breathe. Looks like you need to practice more on how to take me.”

Alana bit her lips, which were swollen and red, not caring about anything else. She glanced nervously at Cole, who was lying on the floor.

He lay motionless on the floor, seemingly unconscious.

She didn’t know if he had seen Stephan kiss her passionately just now.

Stephan pinched her chin, turning her shy, flushed little face back toward him. “What’s the matter? Are you that afraid he’ll see?”

Alana couldn’t help but shoot him a reproachful glance. “Look who’s talking!”

Didn’t he feel embarrassed kissing her in front of others?

As for her, she was already so embarrassed she felt like she could dig a luxury castle out of her toes.

Stephan chuckled and shot a sidelong glance at the man lying on the ground.

“Don’t worry, I made sure he was unconscious before I kissed you. After all, I wouldn’t want another man to see this face of yours, made so delicate and alluring by my kisses.”

Alana swallowed.

What a terrifying sense of possessiveness.

Stephan took her soft little hand. “Come with me.”

Alana was a little nervous. “Wait, is he... okay?”

After all, Stephan had just dealt a pretty brutal blow to Cole, he hadn’t hurt him

too badly, had he?

Stephan watched the girl’s reaction, his eyes darkening. “You’re worried about him?”

Alana bit her lip and explained softly, “No, I’m just afraid that if something happens to

him, he’ll press charges.”

What if Cole called the police and had them come arrest him?

Realizing she was worried about him, Stephan expression softened. He reached out to ruffle her hair and reassured her,

“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it.” With that, he reached out to pull Alana away.

Alana couldn’t help but glance at Cole, who lay unconscious on the ground. The man’s fair face bore red, swollen, and bruised marks, and a trickle of blood was even seeping from the corner of his mouth.

The glasses he’d been wearing had vanished. Originally dressed in a sharp suit, his clothes were now disheveled, with several buttons torn off during the struggle.

To be honest, she had never seen him look so disheveled. In her eyes, he had always been refined, handsome, and elegant.

But seeing him lying on the ground like this, battered and bruised, was a first.

A complex mix of emotions flashed through her eyes, and she wasn’t sure how she felt. After a moment’s hesitation, she stopped in her tracks, couldn’t resist tugging at the man’s finger, and whispered, “Wait a minute, we should still call 911 for him. After all, I came here with him; if something happens to him, I can’t escape responsibility.”

Besides, Cole was quite an asshole too. If he found out Stephan had beaten him up, she knew he might try to ruin Stephan’s reputation.

She couldn’t let anything happen to Stephan.

Little did she know that the man by her side was powerful enough not to need her to worry about him.

Stephan frowned slightly, but agreed nonetheless.

Alana immediately pulled out her phone and dialed 911.

*************

Only after Cole was taken away by the ambulance did she agree to go back with Stephan.

The two got into the car together.

Alana sat in the passenger seat, still feeling somewhat restless.

She was terrified that this matter would escalate.

Stephan sensed her unease. Instead of starting the car right away, he glanced

at her and asked, without much emotion,

“How did you get involved with him again? What’s his name?”

The man appeared expressionless, yet he exuded an inexplicable sense of pressure.

Alana couldn’t help but feel nervous. “Cole Park.”

“His last name is Parker?”

He picked up on something immediately.

“Last time, was he the one who had takeout delivered to you?”

She bit her lip and nodded slightly. “Yes.”

His eyes instantly grew colder. “Was he the one who made you work overtime, too?”

She nervously tugged at the hem of her skirt, “Mm-hmm. Right now, I’m his assistant.”

“And he was just hugging you.” Stephan let out a cold laugh. His pitch-black eyes were filled with icy frost, enough to freeze a person to death.

“I feel like I went easy on him just now. I should’ve broke his neck.”
