Lifting her head slightly, Alana saw the man’s lowered eyelids, and the deep satisfaction and pleasure in his eyes were almost overflowing.
She blinked.
Was she punishing him, or rewarding him?
She released her grip and saw a wet patch on the fabric of his shirt at his shoulder, causing her face to flush involuntarily.
Stephan was just getting comfortable when the thrilling, pleasurable sensation on his shoulder vanished in an instant.
A sense of emptiness washed over him, accompanied by a helplessness he couldn’t
shake off.
He lowered his gaze to her, his eyes burning with a dark, surging desire.
“Why did you stop biting, hmm?”
Alana was both angry and embarrassed; she glared at him fiercely, like an adorable little kitten with its fur all ruffled.
She had no intention of rewarding him any further.
“Give me my phone! I’m going to delete the photos!”
Stephan’s lips curved into an amused smile. “Too late. It’s been over two minutes.”
Alana went berserk, raining a flurry of punches down on the man’s hard chest.
“Aaaah! It’s all your fault! Why did you send such embarrassing photos to my grandmother? And my grandma isn’t alone, what if someone else sees it?! I’m too embarrassed to even go back home!”
Stephan watched her frantic reaction with amusement; he really thought she was absolutely adorable.
He let her punch him, since to him, her fists felt soft and harmless.
“I didn’t send it to your grandma.”
Alana’s cheeks puffed out with anger, making her look chubby and adorable.
“I don’t believe you, I just saw you click ‘send’!”
Seeing the girl’s puffed-out cheeks, Stephan thought she looked like a little hamster guarding its food, so soft and adorable.
It was enough to melt his heart.
He handed her the phone back, giving her cheek a gentle pinch as he did so. “If you don’t believe me, check for yourself.”
Alana snatched the phone back and checked her chat history with her grandmother, sure enough, the photo Stephan had sent was nowhere to be found. She was surprised, she was absolutely certain she’d seen Stephan tapped“Send” on themphoto!
Stephan chuckled, “Silly girl, I sent it to myself.”You look so alluring when I kiss you, I couldn’t bear to let anyone else see that. I have to keep it all to myself.”
Alana blushed and finally opened her chat with the man.
Only then was she certain: he had sent the photo to himself. Relieved that he hadn’t sent it to her grandmother, she couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.
But thinking about how he’d just teased her, she gritted her teeth, her almond-shaped eyes widening in mock anger as she glared at him.
“Stephan, you’re so mean!”
The man chuckled softly, wrapping his arm around her slender waist and leaning down to kiss her rosy cheek. “It’s not like I’ve just started being mean to you,”
“Watch out, I’m going to be even meaner to you from now on.”
Alana was fuming, but there was nothing she could do about him. “Are we still taking pictures?”
“No more!”
“But we’ve only taken one so far.”
“No way. It’s all your fault anyway!”
“Fine, fine, it’s all my fault.”
The man cupped the girl’s face, kissing her repeatedly to soothe her.
It felt like he’d turned her into a spoiled little girl.
After soothing Alana, Stephan silently picked up his phone, tapped to save the
photo of him kissing her, and set it as his phone’s wallpaper.
Looking at the intimate couple in the photo, the tenderness and doting affection in the man’s eyes nearly overflowed like water.
Hmm, not bad. Now he could look at it whenever he wanted. He glanced at the girl’s white phone.
Maybe... he should set that as her wallpaper too?

Meanwhile, at the hospital.
Grandma received the photo Alana had sent.
When she saw the photo, Grandma gasped and hurriedly urged her daughter-in-law and children in the ward to take a look.
“Come over here and take a look! This is Alana’s boyfriend!”
Curious about Grandma’s reaction, the aunts and other women all crowded around.
Upon seeing the man in the photo, the two older women both, without a word, looked at him with eyes full of admiration.

A deep gray, high-quality shirt hung on him, and black dress pants hugged his long legs.
He sat with one leg crossed over the other, a laptop resting on his thigh. His gaze is lowered, his expression serious and focused, exuding a strong sense of power.
The photo captured the man with such depth and dimension that he looked as beautiful as an oil painting.
Grandma said, excitedly, “Wow. He’s so handsome, he’s stolen my heart! Take a look, isn’t he handsome?”
My two women who were close exchanged a glance, then spoke in unison.
“He’s just okay.”
“He’s so handsome, it’s obviously photoshopped!” Miranda let out.
“I think he’s photoshopped too. With today’s photo editing skills, they can turn an ugly guy into a total hunk!” Grandma’s daughter let out.
Grandma frowned. “Why are you so against Lana being happy? She’s so
pretty, what’s wrong with her dating a total hunk?”
“Well, even if Lana really is dating such a handsome guy, just because he’s good-looking doesn’t mean he’s reliable!”
“Just look at him, dressed so provocatively, not even bothering to button his shirt properly. The way he’s showing off... I’m too embarrassed to even look...”
Before she could finish, her sister-in-law, Miranda, couldn’t help but let out a slurp.
Oh no, he was just too good-looking, she couldn’t help but gawk.
Grandma shot Miranda a look and couldn’t help but roll her eyes dramatically. How old was she, drooling over a handsome young man?
“Why are you staring at him like that? I thought he wasn’t good enough.” Grandma snatched the phone right back, refusing to let those two keep looking.
Miranda wiped away the drool that had spilled out, feeling guilty. “This guy looks like a male model, he’s obviously not trustworthy!”
Alana’s Aunt cleared her throat and nodded. “You’re right. These days, good looks don’t put food on the table, you still need a reliable job.”
Grandma said, “You saw it too, Alana’s boyfriend was just holding a laptop. He’s clearly the type who works in an office.”
Miranda scoffed. “He’s just putting on a show!”
“Exactly! It’s a staged photo, meant to trick your eyes!”
Grandma laughed in exasperation, “You two, can’t you stand to see Alana doing well? I’ll bet you anything that Lana’s boyfriend is totally reliable, and so is his job. If you don’t believe me, just wait and see!”
The other two women exchanged a glance. No way!
Was Alana really going to have a good life now?!
No way!
Absolutely impossible!
If Alana’s boyfriend were really that great, she’d be dying to bring him home to show off, she wouldn’t be hiding him away like this.
They were jealous, after all. Alana was abandoned by her parents when she was young, and although her their family took her in, they looked down on her deep down.
Why should they take in this “junk” just because her parents didn’t want her?
They might as well have just dumped her at an orphanage!
But that old woman at home wouldn’t have it; she insisted on bringing her home to raise her.
In all the years, she’s been with her maternal family, only her grandmother had been genuinely kind to her; the rest of the relatives just turn a blind eye whenever they saw her.
And they never expected her to amount to anything.
