Chapter 148: CH. 148 | Battle Inside of Restaurant

One of them attacked Lin Tian with a golden sword technique. The man’s eyes were fixed straight ahead as white spiritual qi shone brightly from them.

With nothing more than a raised hand, the sword slammed into a protective qi barrier and shattered into countless pieces, shocking all five of them.

"What?!" one of them exclaimed.

He and the others immediately leaped back to distance themselves from Lin Tian.

They kept a close eye on his every movement, still stunned that the man before them had effortlessly blocked the golden sword technique of a Foundation Establishment cultivator.

"That was just luck. Join forces and attack him!"

They formed the same hand seals, channeling their spiritual qi into a single point and summoning magical runes before them.

Lin Tian let out a quiet sigh, rose from his seat, and walked toward them.

"Stop!"

But Lin Tian ignored them. He continued walking forward. Having no other choice, they attacked him with a golden qilin engulfed in crimson flames.

"That attack combines all of our strength. Even a Nascent Soul Master wouldn’t be able to..."

The man’s words came to an abrupt stop when he saw their golden qilin strike being blocked by Lin Tian’s protective qi barrier.

A powerful wave of spiritual qi erupted, accompanied by fierce gusts of wind. The golden qilin’s power was indeed formidable, but it was still not enough to defeat Lin Tian.

Using only one hand, he formed a simple hand seal, causing a second white magical rune to appear behind him.

The five members of the Xu Clan were still standing, but the failure of their golden qilin attack had already injured them badly enough to make them cough up blood, and several of them dropped to one knee.

Lin Tian did not answer. Instead, he continued attacking them with the white dragon.

Those who could still stand immediately activated defensive qi techniques while using a communication jade token that instantly connected to one of their elders.

The white dragon slammed against their defensive qi barrier while the communication jade token activated successfully, sending its spiritual qi signal out of the restaurant.

"You’re finished!"

"The Xu Clan elders will come and kill you!" one of them shouted.

"Adding one or two more losers won’t change anything," Lin Tian said firmly.

"You?!"

"Fellow Daoist, please show mercy."

The spiritual qi signal from the communication jade token reached its destination, and three Xu Clan elders soon arrived.

None of their cultivation bases had reached the Nascent Soul Realm yet, but they were stronger than the previous five.

"Only Core Formation cultivators... Do you really think that’s enough to stop me?"

Spiritual qi gathered at the tip of his finger before he sent it forward once more, strengthening the white dragon.

While waiting, Lin Tian continued pressing the two men down with his cultivation pressure. They gradually found it difficult to breathe.

The elders witnessed the scene and turned toward Lin Tian. The man calmly returned to his seat at the wooden table and poured himself another cup of green tea.

Xu Mei ordered everyone to return to the Xu Clan residence. She explained that she would personally speak with the man and apologize on behalf of the clan.

They obediently left, leaving only Xu Mei and Lin Tian behind.

Xu Mei walked over to Lin Tian, cupped her hands, and lowered her head.

"As the representative of the Xu Clan, I apologize for their rudeness."

"As for the Qilin Sword Technique... Please allow me to..."

"No need," Lin Tian replied, taking a sip of his green tea, "I don’t need that technique."

Xu Mei fell silent for a moment, remaining in the same respectful posture. Lin Tian extended his hand, gesturing for her to sit across from him.

Lin Tian remained silent for a moment. He let out a soft sigh while gently swirling the warm tea in his cup.
