Chapter 998: Chapter 998: Sheng Tang and William
Sheng Tang’s prediction wasn’t off.
William was indeed dressed in a suit, with an extra overcoat on top.
He was handsome, tall, with broad shoulders. The suit and overcoat made him look strikingly exceptional, somewhat like a big boss on Shanghai Beach.
Sheng Tang: "Not bad, tonight’s look is well thought out."
William was usually a fashion-forward guy, often in T-shirts and ripped jeans in private, rarely seen dressed so formally.
His usual style wasn’t this serious either.
"To match you," William said, "You’re definitely wearing an evening gown, and if I walk beside you, I’d look like an assistant."
"Or maybe I’ll wear a cocktail dress?" Sheng Tang laughed, "It’s not such a big occasion tonight."
"I asked Ai’ai in advance," William said.
Sheng Tang: "..."
Ai’ai immediately pushed William: "You, how could you be so clueless? You even sold me out, don’t expect to get anything from me next time."
Sheng Tang laughed.
They all shared the same chauffeured car and arrived at their destination.
The celebration was arranged at a hot spring resort hotel.
There was a long red carpet in front of the hotel, lined with journalists on both sides.
As soon as the car stopped, Sheng Tang heard waves of screams and the continuous clicking of cameras.
Sheng Tang took off her down jacket and asked Ai’ai, "Is my hair messy?"
"No, it’s very beautiful," Ai’ai replied.
Sheng Tang smiled.
William got off the car first and waited nearby for Sheng Tang.
Sheng Tang got off the car and took his arm.
On the red carpet, several supermodel contestants were constantly changing angles for photos. A sharp-eyed reporter spotted Sheng Tang and William and immediately shouted, "Sheng Tang, William, look this way."
All the cameras focused on them.
The two of them were undoubtedly the biggest stars tonight. The reporters were there partly to shoot the top three supermodels, but also to photograph the three leading actors of "The White Snake."
Everyone else on the red carpet was overshadowed.
Sheng Tang put on a proper smile and walked the red carpet with William.
"Sheng Tang, over here, give us a smile darling!" the reporters shouted haphazardly.
Sheng Tang and William lingered on the red carpet for about a minute, getting photographed from every angle, before heading inside.
At the end of the red carpet, there was a board for people to sign their names.
There were also two hosts conducting impromptu interviews for the audience watching the live broadcast.
"Tangtang, your dress is especially beautiful. May I ask what brand it is?" the host asked her.
Sheng Tang mentioned Etienne Studio.
The female host praised her outfit several times, then commented that William was very handsome and that his look tonight was extraordinary.
"William seldom dresses so formally, is it because of Tangtang?"
"Yes." William was composed today, not speaking much.
The two of them didn’t take up too much time and went straight into the banquet hall.
Upon entering, Liu Taofang saw them first and quickly came over to greet them.
"Fifty-billion-dollar actress, so hard to invite these days!" Liu Taofang teased as soon as they met.
Sheng Tang hugged him lightly: "Brother Liu, if you call, I have to come obediently. Hard to invite for others, but not for you."
Liu Taofang laughed heartily.
He then shook hands with William: "Good kid, you dressed very dapper today!"
William exchanged a few polite words with him as well.
Wang Chuiyang came over, interrupting their pleasantries.
She took Sheng Tang by one hand and William by the other: "Let’s sit down quickly, everyone is waiting for you."
